If he keeps up his facade, then he’ll have to follow Ren around, and he certainly couldn’t just go along with whatever Ren decided in such a strange event that they were suddenly in.
“Huh? Doesn’t that make you guys friends?” Sean asked in a puzzled voice.
“No… But if that’s what you think, then so be it,” Eli just shrugged, as he knew that once they knew about it, most would think that they were actually friends—just like most of the people who just learned that they grew up almost together.
He was already used to it, so he didn’t bother correcting their assumptions and then just started looking at the phone in his hands again.
He had already opened the messages and read them, so he just opened the gallery and saw that it was full of photos of two people.
The expressions between the two when they were taking a photo with each other obviously showed that they were really in love with each other, as they had bright smiles and their eyes were also shining while they were looking at the camera.
They have a lot of such photos together, and most of those photos were obviously taken in school, as most of their backgrounds were the school buildings or the library.
So, they certainly took their photos at the gardens, playgrounds, and at the library.
They also have photos of some gifts that they were giving to each other, like books, flowers, chocolates, necklaces, cards, and other things.
“Wow, they look very good together,” Bran said.
“Yes, they do. But according to the messages that were cursing Elmer, a lot of people were cursing him because his grades aren’t good and Lenny is the school goddess that has both beauty and brains.”
“The girl indeed looks good. No wonder you guys said that she has a lot of admirers who were even threatening Elmer, probably because they all thought that they’re better than him if his grades weren’t good,” Sean said. New chapters come out on novelping dot com first.
“Yeah, that’s likely how it is, but it seems that those messages are too brutal, as they’re even threatening to kill him if he didn’t break up with his girlfriend, which isn’t a normal high schooler’s psychology at all,” Eli said, and then opened the other folders in the photos.
In the first folder, all they had seen were the bright smiles of the two, but when he opened the downloaded images as well as screenshots, they saw something else.
They saw a lot of vandalized photos of the two, and they were all telling them to break up as they don’t suit each other.
The photos also got worse and worse, so they didn’t show it to Bran anymore, but what they saw in the end really made them pause because the end photo shows the two being in a car accident.
While they were looking at the last photo, they saw that the original static picture seemed to come alive, and they saw the blood dripping from the two.
Sean was clearly frightened and was about to scream, but Eli quickly held Sean’s hand and used it to cover his mouth and said, “Don’t shout. What if something outside heard you?”
Sean clearly still wanted to shout, but was quickly silenced by what he said.
“Mr. Randel, what did you guys see?” Bran asked.
“It’s nothing, we just saw that Lenny and Elmer seem to have died because of a car accident,” Randel said without saying that they had just seen the photo moving and dripping blood, so as not to scare another person.
After Eli stopped Sean from screaming, he looked at the photo again.
When he looked at it again, the photo had gone back to the way it was without any blood dripping at all.

“It stopped again when you were talking with Sean,” Ren said.
“So, it’s just a short time,” Eli said and then added, “Most of the photos before were obviously edited, but this photo seemed to be real. What do you think?”
“Yes, it’s authentic.
I can’t see any signs of editing in that photo,” Ren said with a nod, then continued, “The two really died in a car accident, but whether it’s really an accident or not is still a question that needs to be answered.”
Eli just nodded because he doesn’t really want to get involved in finding out if their deaths were really accidents or not, as those were jobs for the police.
They could just report to the police later and those people would be the ones handling the case.
After looking through all the photos on the phone, he looked at the other messaging apps as well as the emails saved on the phone.
Eli looked through it, and aside from the requirements that he was sending to teachers and other students for group projects, the guy doesn’t have much communication with other people.
Elmer was mostly chatting only with Lenny, who was his girlfriend, and then he had a few chats with a few friends that he had.
But it’s obvious that those few friends weren’t that close to him, as they don’t have a lot to talk about at all.
Aside from those people, most of the emails and other messages were still from people trying to interfere with their relationship.
After those images, he also looked through all the apps on the phone and said, “Hmm, it seems that he had really become very studious after being together with Lenny, as he had a lot of apps for learning.”
“Yes, they had a good relationship and Lenny was also willing to help, so Elmer, who was originally struggling to keep up with others, became more studious and his grades had certainly gotten better and better based on all the outputs that he was submitting to his teachers and those that he contributed to group projects,” Ren also said.
