“Huh? Isn’t that very obvious? As long as you observed the buildings and things that we passed by, you can tell the difference,” Eli answered.
“Is that really the case?” Bran said, while seeming to think of something.
“It may be the case for you guys but not for us,” Sean said and then added, “We wouldn’t notice such things immediately especially now with how creepy our situation is. But Eli and Mr. Randel, you guys don’t seem to be scared of what we just encountered; the creepy guy on the phone, my phone that suddenly became different, the sudden nighttime, the face of the guy hacking the door, the sudden daytime, and the expressions of the people around us now, all of it is weird and scary but you guys are still very calm. I’m thankful that you guys are very calm since you guys are handling our situation better but how can you guys not be afraid of such things?”
“Hmm.. our situation is indeed unsettling but my priority is how to get out of our situation so I’m not really afraid of it. In fact, I’m a bit interested in why such a situation occurred and if there’s a chance to learn it, I’m quite willing to learn the how’s and why’s such things happened,” Eli said.
He really does think that the surroundings and the things that they had encountered were unsettling but he isn’t really afraid, his mind was quite occupied with observing things around them to see if they could get out maybe because his mind is occupied that’s why he doesn’t feel afraid at all.
Of course, there’s also the factor that he had always been unlucky and had already encountered a lot of dangers like being involved in robberies, car accidents, even witnessing a few attempts of murders, so he wasn’t really afraid of facing their current situation.
Just like he said his priority is getting out of their current situation because their surroundings are indeed unsettling and his intuition is already warning him that the longer they stay the more dangerous it would get.
They hadn’t encountered much danger aside from the guy that was hacking their door a while back, but Eli still couldn’t shake the feeling that their situation would get more and more dangerous if they couldn’t get out.
His intuition had also been honed because of a lot of dangers that he kept facing because of his misfortune, so even though he couldn’t see what danger they could face he still knew that they had to get out and return to reality quickly.
There aren’t really a lot of things that could pique his interest but their situation seems to be a bit more interesting, so if there’s a chance he would like to learn about it.
But of course his priority is still to return to reality because even if he is interested in knowing the how’s and why’s about their situation he wasn’t interested in staying in it for a long time as he still preferred the reality where he could coast along just like always and he doesn’t have to bother thinking much unlike now where he had to keep observing a lot of things so as not to let even a small clue slip up.
Even though it’s just a small effort on his part as his memory is still outstanding, he still doesn’t like it that much as he still prefers not using his mind for such tasks at all.
“You’re really quite something, Eli,” Sean said, “What about you Mr. Randel, you’ve been composed all this time.”
“There’s nothing to be afraid about. Our situation is just unfamiliar to us, so it seems to be scary. We just need to think of solving our situation and going back to our own reality.”
Eli didn’t care about what Ren said at all because he knew that Ren had also experienced a lot because of his unluckiness too so he also wouldn’t be afraid of their situation.
If Ren had been afraid, then he would have taken a video of it to show and mock him about it later on which would certainly be fun.
Unfortunately, both of them had been unlucky for a long time that even though they hadn’t experienced near-death situations like when they were younger they still experienced a lot of situations where it could be considered to be scary for people, so he knew he couldn’t see Ren being scared at all. “Ah, I wish I could be like you guys too, but I can’t help but be afraid when I see those things,” Sean said with a sigh.
“Me, too, the things here are still scary, I think everything is more scary than the horror movies that I had encountered before,” Bran also said.
“As long as both of you try to remain calm even if both of you are afraid then it would be fine. We will do our best to look for a way to get out of here,” Ren said calmly.
“Thank you very much Mr. Randel, but even if I remain calm I might not be of much help,” Sean said.
“Yes, me too, I don’t even know if I can remain calm until the end,” Bran added.
“Even if it’s not a lot, I’m sure that both of you can still do something even if it’s little. Of course even if both of you can’t help it’s still okay as long as all of us can get out in the end,” Ren said gently.
Eli wanted to say something but before he could speak they heard someone shouting, “You grade 10 students, why are you still here in the garden! Break is nearly over, and classes will begin in a minute!”
