The woman who came out was obviously wearing a nurse uniform and had even asked them in a casual tone; however, her uniform was obviously bloodied and Eli—the nurse was also obviously smiling a bit even though her eyes seem to have blood flowing out.

Unlike the blank expressions of all the students and most of the teachers that they saw around, the nurse in front of them actually had a bit of a smile, but it was even creepier than the others as her eyes seem to be trickling blood slowly which flows to her nurse uniform.

And her uniform obviously had more bloodstains, which obviously came from somewhere else and not just from her eyes because the amount of bloodstains was too much.Full novel: We Tried Dodging Our Marriage, Now We’re Solving Irregularities (BL) — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Aside from that, Eli could also feel that the nurse in front of them was several times more dangerous than the invisible teacher that was in their classroom, that’s why he didn’t open the third room but instead went back to where Bran was.

Even though Eli could feel that the nurse in front of him was dangerous, and even though she looked creepier than all the others that they saw, Eli still talked calmly and said, “My friend has a headache, can we just get medicine? He still wanted to go back to our classroom to learn and doesn’t want to miss any classes.”

“Oh, it’s you Elmer, I thought you came again to treat your bruises, so it’s your friend who’s sick,” the nurse said while looking at him and then looking at Bran.

As soon as Eli heard the nurse calling him Elmer, he couldn’t help but be surprised, but he didn’t show any of his surprise outside aside from gripping Bran’s arm tighter before releasing it and then continued talking. “Yes, he’s having a headache, but he doesn’t want to miss any classes so we have to go back to our class again.”

“Ok, but John, can you still bear returning to your class? If not, it’s still better to stay here. You can rest until your parents can come and pick you up.”

“N-no need. I want to listen more to the lectures of my teachers,” Bran quickly said, obviously afraid to stay in the clinic because of how the nurse looked.

“Ok. I won’t force you students to stay as long as you can bear it since the exams are indeed coming and you guys probably need to cram more,” the nurse casually said and then went to the medicine compartment to look for medicine.

However, while walking where the medicines were, Eli could see that the nurse had difficulty in walking.

The nurse was walking slowly, but Eli couldn’t see any condition that might cause it because the nurse’s body proportion was actually good and there were no discrepancies.

However, the nurse was still having difficulty in walking, as if her body weight was very heavy even though it obviously wasn’t.

“Yes, we need to learn more as we can’t afford to fail and we also need to get good ranks afterwards,” Eli said, because the nurse just called him Elmer and based on the things he read from Elmer’s phone, Elmer would definitely aim to get good grades and aim to have a good rank if possible.

“Yes, you guys can’t fall behind because once you fall behind then I’m not sure if I’ll be able to still see you here,” the nurse said and gave them a wider smile, which just caused Bran to turn even paler.

When the nurse smiled wider, it just made her creepier as more blood trickled from her eyes and then some even fell on her lips, which just made it more bizarre as the nurse didn’t care about it at all and just continued looking for the medicine for Bran.

But Eli didn’t care about how creepy it was, but paid attention to what the nurse said.

The nurse was obviously happy as well as regretful when she said that she wouldn’t be able to see them if they failed, which means that there’s certainly a problem if they failed the exams if they’re going to be part of it.

The current state of the students in the school that they were in also indicated that they were all serious about the exams that they were going to take, because all those students that they passed by were all focused on learning something from their teachers, and when they passed by a lot of students during their break before, a lot of them were comparing their scores and all the scores he heard were good, but most seemed that they still wanted to have higher scores and weren’t satisfied with those scores that they got.

He just thought that a lot of students in the school were competitive, but it seems that it isn’t just because of it.

The teacher in their class before hadn’t mentioned anything about exams, but when asking questions, even though he was making it difficult for the two of them and they had to answer the hardest ones, the questions asked to the others weren’t too easy either, and those students were also obviously focused on answering the questions properly.

And those students were even adding explanations to their answers once the teacher in their class hadn’t said anything yet to consider their answers as correct.

So when he had been answering at that time he also had to speak more as he had to explain properly until that teacher was satisfied with the answers.

So, it looks like there’s generally a problem on how the school currently works as it seems that they had to maintain high standards for all the students, and the exams and other assessments certainly wouldn’t be easy.

And those students with blank expressions were obviously paying a lot of attention to getting good ranks, and based on what the nurse was saying, there’s certainly a problem if they can’t do a good job and get high ranks.

He looked at the logbook a while ago, and based on the dates written on it, the final terms are actually very near.

He doesn’t know the exact date at the moment, but based on those logs the finals for the school that they were in are just in the week they were in or a week later depending on what the actual date is.

So, they have to get out immediately so that they wouldn’t be dragged into such exams, as it would certainly make it even harder for them to leave.

Eli doesn’t want to get their situation even more complicated so they really had to find a way to get out.

Then the nurse who had been slowly looking for medicine finally managed to find it and handed it to them.

“Here, take it. The water is there,” the nurse said and pointed at the water dispenser at the side. Then she added, “Once you take it you guys can get out, I still have some work to do.”

After that, the nurse didn’t pay any attention to them any longer and then turned back to the room she came from.

“Ok, thanks for the medicine,” Eli said and then went to get water from the dispenser.

They certainly wouldn’t drink and take the medicine, but they still needed to pretend to take it, so Eli still went to the dispenser to get some water.

However, he didn’t rush because the nurse was walking very slowly back to the third room that she came from.

So, Eli also had to slow down a bit, but even if he moved a bit slower, the room wasn’t that wide to begin with so he still arrived at the dispenser faster, so he readily got a cup and started pressing the dispenser for water.

He readily pressed warm, but as soon as the water came out, Eli couldn’t help but pause because the liquid that was coming out obviously isn’t water, but blood mixed with something dark like ink that wasn’t mixing well with the blood, which is why it’s still very obvious.

And even though he pressed warm, the liquid that was obviously blood mixed with other things was very cold to his touch.

But even though he could see that it’s obviously blood, he only paused for a bit and continued getting more until the cup was half filled.

Afterwards, he slowly walked back to where Bran was while discreetly paying attention to the nurse, as he also wanted to see what’s in the third room.

“Ok, this is your water, drink it with the medicine so that we can go back to class like you wanted,” Eli said to Bran.

When he handed the water, he didn’t let go of the cup at all, knowing that Bran would certainly drop it once he saw the liquid inside.
