At Northern Heights, the war between the Christian converts and the pagans continued. A pagan native man named Mato appeared and destroyed several of Chief Tala's forces. He was 2nd in command over Moonlight's army. Several of the natives in the community had to hide away from Moonlight's forces.

Aiyana walked through town.

"I don't understand why everyone does all this stupid fighting just over religion," said Aiyana.Full novel: West Quest — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Would you like to come to church with us?" asked one of the Christian converts.

"No thanks. I'm animist. This religion of the West is the reason why all these wars started in the first place," she said as she walked away, but she heard the gospel from the Christian converts in the streets and was amazed how much at peace they were, being killed, willing to die, even forgiving their killers.

She made the decision that she would also convert to Christianity and started joining a church, but during worship service one morning, her church was attacked by Moonlight's rebel men. Several of the churchgoers died. She was taken into prison and confronted by Moonlight.

"It doesn't surprise me that sooner or later you'd join the vile religion of these Cowboys. It's a shame you chose to betray natives and the nature gods," said Moonlight.

"You're a terrorist, Moonlight. Your hate has blinded you and made you mad. You want to kill Christians. You want to kill Cowboys. You're even willing to fight against your own dad and your own people just because you believe a different God than you," said Aiyana.

"This is about the dignity and respect of the North Tribe. Everything our ancestors stood for. After I destroy these Christians, the Cowboys will be next," said Moonlight.

"You're going to attack the West?" asked Aiyana.

"We are going to find the elemental crystals to destroy the West," said Moonlight.

"You really are deranged. You're not fighting for our people, you're only fighting for yourself and your own twisted ideas," said Aiyana.

Over at the station:

"So are you like Billy's girlfriend or something? I saw you two together at the Heights. Or is he with the blonde one?" asked Maverick.

"He's with neither one of us. Billy and I are just longtime childhood friends. We attended private school together since grade school. Him and I were just on a mission trip in the Heights," said Jolene.

"Well, whatever you two did, it worked. Christianity is spreading all across the country there, but it's causing wars between a group of rebels led by a native named Moonlight," said Maverick.

"We were just trying to share the gospel. I apologize you and the others were involved," said Jolene.

"Is there any intel on the location of the New Dawn Outlaws?" said Maverick.

"There's reports of a battle in Dust Bowl," said Jolene.

"That's where Austin is. He used to be on my team before I was promoted as Sheriff. He got jealous because he didn't get the Sheriff job. He's a Sheriff there of another unit. That guy kind of gets on my nerves," said Maverick.

"There's more reports of New Dawns over in another town called Green Town," said Jolene.

"I'm going to go look into it," said Maverick as he left.

Most of the higher ranking Marshals went to investigate the New Dawn Outlaws. The lower ranking Marshals and many cadets stayed at the station.

Billy went to a town called Big Bull City to investigate the New Dawns. There were also reports of a potential crystal in the town. Suddenly, a group of New Dawn appeared and attacked the station while Jolene was in it. There was a woman with them named Belle. She came up to Jolene with a gun and fired, but Jolene dodged and started punching and kicking Belle.

Jolene was not a full-time Marshal, but had a badge and was authorized to fight and make arrests.

"I bet you didn't know I could fight," she said.

The Marshals looked at her.

"Not bad," they said.

The Marshals began to fight the New Dawns, but they were very strong. Most of the Marshals were cadets and low ranking. Many of them were injured and a few were killed. The station was falling apart and was set on fire.

Jolene and Belle kept going back and forth in hand-to-hand combat. Jolene had the upper hand. They fired at each other with their guns. Jolene punched and kicked Belle several times. Belle was knocked unconscious, but a man appeared. It was Silas, the leader of the New Dawn Outlaws.

"I've seen your photos. You're Silas of New Dawn," said Jolene. She was surrounded by the New Dawns.

"Why would you kill Marshals? They save lives?" she said.

"Marshals destroy lives. They bully us and kill people and tell us how to live their lives. We do not want a society dictated by Marshals, we want freedom," said Silas.

"Anarchy is not freedom. Anarchy is chaos," said Jolene.

"You're coming with us," said Silas. He grabbed ahold of Jolene and she was kidnapped.

Billy, unaware of the events, continued searching for the New Dawns and the crystals in Big Bull. He started riding on the bulls and rounded up cattle with his rope.

"There may be a crystal in a secret passageway in one of our libraries," said a researcher.

Billy went to the location that the researcher told him about. There was an underground tunnel and there was one crystal. Billy took it.

As he left the building, another giant new species creature began attacking the town. Billy tried to fire shots at it but missed. It hit him and he flew into a building. He tried to use his Bazooka Bombs technique, but his gun was still too small because his power was not yet strong enough. Then he fired a Boom Blaster at it and killed it.

As Maverick was investigating, he was attacked by a New Dawn. He turned and saw a man with long blonde hair.

"Hi, I'm Dusty. I'm a New Dawn. I see that you're a Sheriff. I hate Sheriffs. They're responsible for oppression," said Dusty.

"Sheriffs and Marshals fight for justice to protect all society for the better. An anarchy society will burn to the ground," said Maverick.

They began to engage in hand-to-hand combat, but Maverick had the upper hand because of his advanced skill and technique. Maverick knocked Dusty to the ground, but Dusty got back up.

Meanwhile, Coyote continued his battle with Sawyer. Coyote hit Sawyer with several punches and kicks and knocked Sawyer to the ground. Sawyer got back up. He picked up large rocks and threw them at him but missed. Then Sawyer hit Coyote with several attacks and knocked him to the ground. Sawyer and Coyote threw their gunshifts at each other but missed and started throwing blasts. Sawyer turned his gun into a sword and swung but missed.

Suddenly, Coyote had a huge power up and made a massive Bazooka Bomb gun.

"It's huge," said Sawyer.

"The more powerful you are, the bigger and more powerful you can make your Bazooka Bomb. I'm a high ranking officer. You're pretty foolish picking a fight with me," said Coyote. He fired an extremely powerful blast at Sawyer out of his Bazooka gun, but Sawyer dodged it.

Meanwhile, Jolene was taken and put into a prison.

"I understand that you have a very close friendship with Billy. You're here so Billy comes looking for you and we can ambush him," said Silas.

When Billy came down to the station after finding no evidence of the New Dawns, he saw the whole station in shambles, burned down to the ground, and injured Marshals laying on the ground. Billy looked in anger.

"What happened here?" asked Billy.

"It was the New Dawns," said a Marshal. "They came and attacked the whole station and kidnapped Jolene," said an injured Marshal.

"They did what?" said Billy. Massive amounts of energy and light started to flow all around him and everything started shaking. The Marshals looked in disbelief.

"First they burn down my station, harm my comrades, and kidnap one of my best friends. They made the biggest mistake of their life. She better not be hurt. If I found out they did something, they're going to regret it!" said Billy. "I'm going to go find her," he said.

His comrades were treated with medical attention. They gave Billy leads on where Jolene might be and he went to find her.
