Billy continued his advanced training.

"When you power up, draw out your power and form it into a gun. This takes concentration," said Jay.

After a couple hours, Billy finally did, but his gun was much smaller than Jay's.Full novel: West Quest — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Your gun is small. That means your power isn't very much yet, but it will grow bigger in time," said Jay. He took his gun out and the gun started floating and changing shape. The gun became big and looked like a large stick.

"Whoa! How did you do that?" asked Billy.

"It's another technique. It's called Gunshift. You use your power to change your gun into any form or kind of weapon you want," said Jay.

Jay taught Billy how to do that as well. Billy's gun changed shape and looked like the stick Jay made. Billy continued dodging objects, but this time the objects started hitting him and the training became more difficult. Billy began to keep up with Clay better during sparring.

Billy sat on a table during lunch break. As he prayed, he was approached by two Marshals. One of them had brown hair, the other was bald. The brown-haired one was Roger.

"I hear you're terrible in training and your bazooka bomb is really small," they laughed. "Is Jesus going to come save you in all your fights? You and your Jesus God make me sick. We don't need Jesus. We're Marshals. It's not about religion," said Roger.

"There's no objective morals or justice without a God," said Billy.

A red-haired man and a Hispanic came up to Billy.

"That Roger is a real jerk. He's always talking down on people," they said.

"I'm Francisco, by the way," said the Hispanic.

"I'm Colton," said the red-haired man.

"We think you're doing a real good job, by the way. Don't listen to that bully," said Colton.

"Thanks," said Billy. Billy continued training daily and learned the Boom Blaster. The next day, Billy went hunting for buffalo and killed one of them.

In the morning, he got up for church. Reba was there. He looked over at Jolene, Tyler, Willa, Pastor Tim.

"Guys, this is my friend Reba," said Billy.

"Nice to meet you," they said.

"I experienced a radical transformation. Now I live to follow Him. There's still a lot of things I don't know. I'm still learning, but I got rid of all my alcohol," said Reba.

"So what's going on with this? Is this a girlfriend or what?" asked Tyler.

Billy laughed.

"Don't be silly. She's just a friend that I led to Christ," Billy said.

"I've always wanted to be a mother-in-law. She'd make you a great woman," said Willa.

"Mom, this is church. We are here to learn God's word, not get a date," said Billy.

Jolene was a little bit bothered at the thought of Billy and another woman being together. She felt she was developing feelings for him but didn't understand why. They were always childhood friends. She tried to ignore her feelings.

Tyler looked over at Jolene and noticed something was wrong.

"Are you alright?" asked Tyler.

"I'm fine for now. I'll tell you about it later," said Jolene.

Billy went to town to listen to a local bluegrass gospel band playing fiddles and banjos. On his way there, he once again encountered Element meeting with other natives in the community.

"Hey, you're that kid I met the other day," said Billy.

As the natives met, a Cowboy with blonde hair met up with them.

"I always love when Natives come here. I wanted to show you a nice place to show my appreciation of Natives. Come with me," said the blonde-haired Cowboy that goes by Frank.

They followed him. They went into an isolated area behind the town. Frank pulled out a metal object which caused the natives to fall on the ground. The metal is called eclipse. It drains a native of their power and weakens them.

"He has eclipse," said Element.

"Why are you doing this?" they asked.

"My dad told me natives were just vile creatures that are a waste of American soil," said Frank. "I will kill all of you," he said, but a beggar already witnessed it and ran to call for help.

As Billy began to dance, the beggar ran in the room.

"Help, help! The natives are in trouble! The natives are in trouble!" he cried.

Billy immediately ran to where Frank and the natives were. Frank had a gun pointed at them.

"Drop your weapon and get on the ground. I'm a Marshal," said Billy.

"If you're a native sympathizer, you're part of the problem," said Frank as he shot at Billy, but he missed. Billy jumped up in the air.

"Racism and prejudice is a form of pride and hate and it's a sin that I will have no tolerance of," said Billy.

"I will kill both you and these natives," said Frank.

"You're not going to lay one finger on them while I'm around," said Billy.

Frank laughed.

"You won't be around long," he said.

Frank kept shooting at Billy but kept missing. Billy tried to use his rope to capture Frank but missed. They began engaging in hand-to-hand combat. Frank was impressive. Stronger than anyone Billy had faced yet. Frank landed several shots on Billy and sent him flying through a wall.

"Are you alright?" the townspeople said.

"I'm alright," said Billy. "You have to get out of here. It's too dangerous here," Billy said.

Billy and Frank continued to fight. Billy kept throwing punches and kicks but missed. He pulled out his pistol and began to fire. Frank dodged it.

Frank laughed.

"Your gun fighting is an embarrassment. What kind of Cowboy are you?" Frank said.

"Hey, that's mean. I didn't think my gun skills are bad. You kind of hurt my feelings," said Billy.

"I'm about to hurt you much more than that," said Frank as he threw several blasts at Billy, but Billy dodged it.

"Alright. That's it. I'm not playing around with you anymore," said Billy. He threw blasts back. Billy landed a punch and knocked Frank to the ground, but Frank quickly got back up. Frank drew out a large amount of power and threw a large blast at Billy. If it would have hit him, it certainly would have killed him, but Billy dodged. Then Billy used his new Gunshift technique and turned his gun into a stick and hit him with it, causing Frank to go flying through a building.

Frank got back up. He used a similar technique to Billy's but missed. He started shooting blasts at Billy out of his gun. One of them was a direct hit. Billy was injured.

"You're at the end of your rope, Marshal. Why do you fight to protect these primitive people? Even now they plot to overthrow the country you fight for," said Frank.

"I will never give up. I will fight for justice to protect the weak and oppressed and to give a voice to those who have no voice and bring light to those in darkness," said Billy.

"Spare your Shakespearean speech. Today you die," said Frank. He tried to hit him but missed. Billy quickly landed a massive flurry of hits and caused Frank to land through several buildings. Billy hit him with a Boom Blaster and knocked him unconscious. He was arrested.

"Thank you so much for what you did for my people," said Element.

"Don't thank me. You should be thankful to my God," said Billy as he walked off and put on his cowboy hat and rode off on his horse into the sunset.

Element looked at him.

"Who is this man?" said Element. "I've met a lot of Cowboys in my life, but I've never met anyone like him. He's different than the rest of them. He's not just a rancher or a Marshal. There seems to be a lot more to him and I'm not really sure what it is," said a native.

Element thought long and hard about everything Billy told him.

"What's wrong, Element?" asked a native.

"It's just that I've been thinking about everything that Cowboy said. What if what he said was true? What if the Christian God is real and we're the ones that are wrong? What if we go to hell?" asked Element.

"Don't be absurd," said a native. "Our people and our tribe are the pagans who worship the gods of nature. It is strictly against the customs of our people to follow the God of these Christians," said a native.
