Hearing such a generous reward, Shu slowly let out a breath.

‘As expected, compared to all that troublesome sealing and rescuing people…

fighting and killing really suits me better.’ He glanced at the ashes scattered across the floor.Full novel: When the Main God Invades Naruto, Who Remains an Ordinary Uchiha? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

‘Though these ashes…

Forget it.

With the curse already this dense, a little more contamination probably won’t matter.’ Meanwhile, Tsunade had finally recovered from her panic behind a load-bearing wall in the corner.

She drew several deep breaths, and a trace of color gradually returned to her pale face.

Tsunade squeezed her eyes shut, forced herself not to think about the blood covering the floor, then slowly pushed herself upright against the wall.

“Hey, brat…” Her voice was still weak.

She stared at Shu’s back with a complicated expression.

“About what happened earlier…

thanks.” Without turning around, Shu flicked the blood from his kunai.

“Tsunade-sama, please don’t die to trash mobs that easily.

If you die here, who’s supposed to handle tomorrow’s sealing operation?” “You bastard…” Whatever gratitude Tsunade had felt instantly vanished.

“Is the sealing operation seriously all you care about?!” Shu finally turned toward her.

“Your hemophobia is severe, isn’t it?

The moment you see enough blood, your body goes weak, your mind collapses, and you can’t even properly mold chakra.” Tsunade stiffened.

Her expression darkened, but she didn’t deny it.

“Listen.

I don’t care what happened to you in the past or how you developed this condition.” “When this mission ends and we return to the Main God Space, fix it immediately.

Even if you have to pay the Main God a ridiculous amount to do it.” Shu stepped closer.

“Because in a more dangerous mission world, you won’t always be lucky enough to have someone save you in time.” “Next time, you might not only get yourself killed.

You could get your teammates killed too.” “You…!” Tsunade opened her mouth, but no rebuttal came out.

She knew Shu was right.

After a moment, she took a deep breath and suppressed her anger.

“Whatever.

This time…

I owe you one.

I’ll remember the favor.” “Just cancel the beating you still owe me and we’ll call it even.” Shu waved casually and started walking deeper into the corridor.

“Come on.

Let’s check the rest of the hospital in case any slipped through.” Tsunade sighed helplessly and forced herself to follow.

She hated admitting it, but after working together several times, she’d realized that this brat was genuinely reliable when things became critical.

Normally, the amount of noise Shu had just caused would’ve brought hospital security or even the local police running.

Unfortunately, Kurouzu-cho was already too deeply corrupted.

The minds of most residents had been severely distorted by the curse.

No one cared what was happening inside the hospital anymore.

“Hm?” When they reached a secluded corner near a stairwell, Shu suddenly stopped and frowned.

He stepped closer through the dim light and discovered two dried corpses lying in the corner.

Their faces were shriveled beyond recognition, with skin stretched tightly over bone.

Even so, Shu immediately recognized their shinobi clothes.

“Aren’t these those two wandering shinobi?” He raised an eyebrow.

Tsunade walked over as well.

Fortunately, there wasn’t a single drop of blood left in either corpse, so her hemophobia wasn’t triggered again.

She crouched down and carefully examined the bodies.

“They died after having all their blood and bodily fluids drained.” Tsunade glanced around.

“There’s also no sign of resistance or fighting.” “Those two were third-rate shinobi, but they were still shinobi.

Something shouldn’t have been able to kill them this cleanly unless it affected them somehow.” Shu stared at the two miserable cannon-fodder corpses and shook his head.

“They actually got sucked completely dry.

That’s one hell of a pathetic way to die.” His gaze fell on the Samsara Watches around their wrists.

After thinking for a moment, Shu removed both.

‘These might come in handy later.’ Then another thought suddenly occurred to him.

“If even these two wandering shinobi ended up like this, what about Takagi Miyuki back at the inn?” “She’s just an ordinary civilian.” Tsunade shook her head.

“Tomorrow is the final day, which also means the curse concentration will reach its peak.” “I already used Fūinjutsu to extract most of the curse energy from her, but this environment is constantly destroying an ordinary person’s mind and body.” “In a town where even the air itself feels malicious…” Tsunade paused.

“Whether she survives tonight depends entirely on her luck.” Shu and Tsunade returned to the inn.

The moment they stepped through the entrance, Tsunade’s expression sharpened.

“This presence…” The two exchanged a glance and immediately rushed upstairs.

Shu kicked open the door.

What awaited them inside confirmed their worst suspicion.

Moonlight streamed through the window and illuminated a figure curled in the corner.

Takagi Miyuki had completely lost her human form.

Her limbs had severely degenerated and fused tightly against her torso.

Her back bulged high into the air, supporting a huge spiral shell.

“So she couldn’t hold out after all…” Shu quietly shook his head.

Tsunade hurried forward and forced herself to examine Miyuki.

A moment later, she lowered her hand helplessly.

“There’s no saving her.” Shu fell silent.

‘Looks like this Main God Space definitely leans toward the harder end of the difficulty scale.’ This had supposedly been nothing more than an ordinary Novice Survival Mission.

Five Reincarnators had entered.

Now only two remained.

Miyuki suddenly moved.

She slowly turned her head, then began crawling upward along the wall like a snail.

“Slrrp…

Slrrp…” The wet scraping noise echoed through the room.

…

The Fifth Day.

The final day of the Main God’s mission.

Just as the weather forecast had predicted, the typhoon arrived on schedule.

Under the fury of this once-in-a-century super typhoon, Kurouzu-cho completely transformed into hell.

Violent winds carried sheets of rain through the streets.

Buildings groaned and twisted beneath the storm.

Plaster peeled from walls, windows exploded, and even reinforced concrete seemed to bend before something incomprehensible.

Yet the most horrifying sight wasn’t the storm itself.

It was the townspeople who had already been deeply corrupted by the curse.

They had completely lost whatever remained of their human reason.

Instead of seeking shelter from the typhoon, they emerged in groups and willingly flooded into the streets.
