Zhou Ji sat by the window, his face exquisitely perfect. His narrow eyes held a blend of coolness and gentleness, making him incredibly alluring. A slight bump on the bridge of his nose prevented him from looking too delicate, and at this moment, even the sunlight outside seemed to favor him.

When Xin Zhiyao saw him, she gasped.

Immediately realizing this was not the time to be starstruck, her heart became uneasy again. She nervously began, "Professor Zhou."

She looked down, appearing as if she had done something wrong, but in reality, it was to hide her guilt.

Compared to Xin Zhiyao's nervousness, Zhou Ji appeared much more composed. As if truly in a teacher's role, he pointed to the seat opposite him. "Sit."

Xin Zhiyao dared not sit. She chuckled awkwardly, "No, Professor Zhou, I'm fine standing."

Zhou Ji had already stood up. He was a head taller than Xin Zhiyao, and she had to look up at him.

"Tell me, why were you distracted during class?"

Zhou Ji's tone was casual, as if he were genuinely concerned about why she was distracted.

Xin Zhiyao dared not reveal the real reason. After much deliberation and nervousness, she said, "I, I just didn't sleep well last night." She immediately apologized sincerely, "I'm sorry, Professor Zhou, I won't do it again."

Whether Zhou Ji believed her or not was unclear. He walked directly to where the tea was being prepared and leisurely tore open a cup of milk tea, pouring water into it.

His movements were unhurried. His fingers were long and slender, and his temperament was noble and elegant. As the steam rose, the scene was even pleasing to the eye.

"I only recently returned from abroad and am not very familiar with domestic teaching methods. If you find my teaching boring, I hope you will tell me directly."

Heavens, what a humble teacher. Such a handsome and humble teacher, and she had actually disrespected him. Even Xin Zhiyao felt like she wasn't human.

"N-no, Professor Zhou, you teach very well." Xin Zhiyao quickly said.

Although she hadn't paid attention, judging from the reactions of her classmates after class, Professor Zhou taught very well.

Zhou Ji smiled slightly. "That's good then."

With that, he handed the prepared cup of milk tea to Xin Zhiyao.

His finger joints were distinct, and his nails were trimmed perfectly, clean and rounded.

"Another teacher gave it to me. Children should all like to drink these."

He actually called her a child.

Xin Zhiyao's face flushed. She reached out and took it. "Thank you, Professor Zhou."

The cup was slightly warm but not hot enough to burn her hand. Wisps of steam rose, and the rich aroma of milk tea wafted into her nostrils.

From the moment she entered the office, Xin Zhiyao had been in a state of tension and vigilance. However, Zhou Ji hadn't mentioned that night at all. Instead, he seemed to be making small talk with her. Coupled with the warm aroma filling her senses, her tense state seemed to relax.

She looked down and took a sip. The sweet taste spread through her mouth.

At this moment, Zhou Ji's voice came to her ear, "It was you that night, wasn't it?"

The words struck her like a thunderclap. She suddenly looked up, meeting Zhou Ji's deep eyes.

His eyes seemed to possess a penetrating power, capable of seeing through everything.

He had been chatting with her and making her milk tea, all to lower her guard.

"Cough, cough, cough." Xin Zhiyao almost choked on the milk tea.

Zhou Ji seemed prepared, smoothly handing her a tissue.

Xin Zhiyao took it and quickly wiped her mouth. Once she recovered, she swiftly denied, "It wasn't me, it wasn't me."

Zhou Ji narrowed his eyes, a half-smile playing on his lips. "I didn't say which night, nor did I say what happened."

Xin Zhiyao knew she had inadvertently exposed herself and panicked. The milk tea in her hand no longer smelled appealing. "Professor Zhou, I don't know what you're talking about, but I'm sure it wasn't me, which is why I denied it."

Zhou Ji's expression remained unchanged. He suddenly reached out to her.

His fingers, like jade bamboo, grasped her wrist. The moment their skin touched, Xin Zhiyao flinched as if burned.

What did he want to do?

Xin Zhiyao's heart leaped into her throat.

"I remember that night, you had a mole on your palm."

After saying this, Zhou Ji flipped her hand over.

On her slender palm, there was indeed a mole.

Caught red-handed.

Zhou Ji slightly raised his eyelids and looked at her. "What do you say?"

Xin Zhiyao felt as if she had nowhere to hide.

She could have played dumb, as she wasn't the only one with a mole on her palm. However, Zhou Ji's aura was too powerful, and a teacher naturally held a position of authority over a student.

Moreover, no matter how much she denied it, Zhou Ji had already decided it was her.

Tears welled up in her eyes. Her voice trembled with a sob, "Professor Zhou, I was wrong. It was my fault. I shouldn't have slept with a stranger. Let's just pretend this never happened. I promise I'll never do it again."

Xin Zhiyao felt overwhelmed. Before tears could fall, she turned and rushed out of the office.

A "bang" echoed as the door slammed shut. Zhou Ji looked somewhat taken aback.

He hadn't even said anything yet, and she had already run off.

He had sought her out simply to see how this matter would be handled, as it was his first time encountering such a situation.

He was allergic to alcohol and never drank. That night, friends were welcoming him back, and he accidentally picked up the wrong cup from someone else. After taking a sip, he realized it was alcohol. Soon, his body felt hot, and he went to the restroom to splash some water on his face to clear his head. Unexpectedly, a girl bumped into his arms, looking at him with teary eyes.

Perhaps due to the alcohol, he made the biggest mistake of his life, losing control and sleeping with a stranger for the first time. The next morning, the girl was already gone from his bedside.

He had tried to find her. The trace of red on the bedsheet had always bothered him. As he was clearly older than her, he felt he had to resolve the situation regardless.

But he never expected the other person to be his student.

This amount of information was too much, causing him to lose his composure in class.

Now, it seemed the other party was even more flustered than he was.
