Guo Ruofan looked at the sharp arrowhead, his eyes showing no fluctuation. As someone skilled in killing, his methods of attack were certainly not limited to the card in his hand.

His tactics were no fewer than Chi Yun Su’s.

For him, the greatest threat at the moment was not the arrowhead Chi Yun Su had pointed at him, but the consequences Chi Yun Su had spoken of if he were to actually kill her.Full novel: Wild Card Creation, As Long As It Works — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

After a brief consideration, Guo Ruofan retracted the blade he had already drawn.

Chi Yun Su smiled and also put away the arrow in her hand. “The next Aircraft leaving here is in two days. I’ll request the Supervisor to arrange for you to be on that flight.”

“Learning from the teacher is a rare opportunity for me. I won’t leave here for now and won’t get in your way.”

“Thank you for giving me my citizenship. It’s been a pleasure working with you,” Chi Yun Su said in a clear voice.

Guo Ruofan gave no response to Chi Yun Su. With a cold expression, he turned and disappeared from her sight in no time.

Chi Yun Su let out a slight sigh of relief.

The most life-threatening hurdle had passed.

To avoid complications, no one wished for Guo Ruofan, this ticking time bomb, to leave here sooner than Chi Yun Su did.

Chi Yun Su turned and went to find the Supervisor.

This Supervisor was in charge of personnel matters and readily agreed upon hearing Chi Yun Su’s request.

Chi Yun Su was now the Inspector’s capable right-hand woman, and the Inspector from the headquarters could easily control everyone here. The Supervisor, having reached this position, clearly understood who could be offended and who could not.

Moreover, the Supervisor also hoped that these individuals from Black Port with questionable identities would leave as soon as possible.

They were all essentially in the same boat.

Now, the news of the disappearance of the seller in Black Port had spread, causing quite a stir. At such a time, the Cleaning Company had gained someone exceptionally skilled at repairing things. The Supervisor was no fool—he had guessed who Chi Yun Su really was.

But even if he had guessed, he could only pretend he hadn’t.

“When do you plan to return to the city to rest?” the Supervisor asked Chi Yun Su in a perfectly normal tone.

“On the flight after the next one,” Chi Yun Su replied.

After all, she couldn’t leave with Guo Ruofan, and aside from the Inspector, Chi Yun Su didn’t want to face a second card maker from the Cleaning Company.

The Inspector was friendly to her because he needed her, but the card maker assigned by the headquarters had no need for Chi Yun Su.

That card maker represented danger and uncertainty for Chi Yun Su.

Although she cherished the time spent learning and working alongside the Inspector, Chi Yun Su could distinguish between reality and illusion and wouldn’t truly lose herself in it.

Guo Ruofan was unaware of these circumstances. Chi Yun Su had consistently conveyed her desire to stay at the Cleaning Company for a long time. Whether he believed it or not, after leaving here, Guo Ruofan’s first priority wouldn’t be to lie in wait for the Cleaning Company’s Aircraft to silence Chi Yun Su but to attend to his actual assassination business.

Thus, overall, taking the next flight out was the best choice for Chi Yun Su.Upon hearing that Chi Yun Su had no intention of staying, Supervisor Lu’s smile instantly became much more genuine. “Good, I’ll arrange it for you right away.”

Seeing the change in Supervisor Lu’s expression, Chi Yun Su immediately guessed that he had seen through her identity. After all, if she were truly the capable and legitimate ‘Rune Mountain,’ even if Supervisor Lu had been recruited from the Black Port, it would be a commendable achievement for the Cleaning Company.

Only if Chi Yun Su were the mysterious and unpredictable seller from the Black Port would Supervisor Lu show such an expression.

Her identity had been exposed, but the other party had no intention of revealing it.

Chi Yun Su’s mind quickly raced through several possibilities, pondering whether there was anything she could take advantage of. Within seconds, she thought of something quite important.

“Supervisor Lu, as you know, I’ve never been to other parts of Yuanfeng Star. You’ve been in charge of recruitment here for a long time, so you must be quite familiar with the cities on Yuanfeng Star. Do you know of any hospitals where I could undergo surgery to change my gender and get the necessary documentation?” As she spoke, Chi Yun Su brushed her long hair aside. “I want to take advantage of my off-duty time to change my gender. Being female is my true identity.”

As everyone knew, the seller in the West Third District of the Black Port was a woman.

Supervisor Lu looked at Chi Yun Su, whose appearance and demeanor had never once disguised her as male—except for the scarf around her neck, which she wore as a gesture of respect for her supposed ‘male’ identity. After a strange moment of silence, as if weighing his words, he finally said, “I don’t know much about hospitals, but you could go to Wanjin City.”

“The household registration management there is relatively outdated. After you provide proof of your gender reassignment surgery, they won’t directly modify your citizen information. Instead, they’ll give you a new identity code and import your old information.”

Chi Yun Su was taken aback.

She hadn’t expected Supervisor Lu to so easily provide such crucial information.

If Wanjin City was truly as he described, Chi Yun Su would no longer have to worry about using the citizen identity provided by ‘Guo Ruofan’ and being tracked down by him as a result.

Chi Yun Su looked at Supervisor Lu warily.

She didn’t believe in such strokes of luck.

Supervisor Lu wasn’t surprised by Chi Yun Su’s reaction. He had dealt with enough people from the Black Port to know exactly how they behaved.

“Thank you for saving this place.” As the highest-ranking personnel manager here, Supervisor Lu was well aware of the situation in the core area. And for him, it wasn’t just about that one incident.

“I’ve worked at the Yuanfeng F171 Port branch for thirty-seven years. Four years ago, I learned for the first time that people from the Black Port could also engage in trade. I’ve always been curious about the kind of person who could bring order to the Black Port.” Supervisor Lu looked at Chi Yun Su.

The trading area of the Cleaning Company that Chi Yun Su had visited before hadn’t existed prior to her arrival.

The Black Port was filled with either criminals or generations of residents who had never received any education. Chaos and disorder were its defining characteristics.

But after Chi Yun Su appeared, she brought the option of trade to the Black Port.

It was like tens of thousands of years ago, when bartering first emerged among primitive tribes.

This was the beginning of order.Where there is order, there are more possibilities. By the time the Supervisor realized it, the more profit-driven employees of the Cleaning Company had already started making private deals with the people of Black Port. Since the Cleaning Company did not prohibit employees from engaging in other activities during their rest time, the Supervisor did not intervene.

Thus, that trading area soon emerged.

Having witnessed this development firsthand, the Supervisor could hardly help but feel immense curiosity and goodwill toward the people of Black Port who were selling goods.

The Supervisor’s tone left Chi Yun Su unsure of what expression to wear.

Chi Yun Su felt that she hadn’t really done anything significant, yet it seemed as though the Supervisor regarded her as something extraordinary.

Believing herself to be ordinary, with only a bit of talent in learning, Chi Yun Su was filled with the urge to voice her inner sarcasm. However, in response to the Supervisor’s subtle admiration, she decided to elevate her demeanor to meet his expectations.

“So, what kind of person do you think I am?” Chi Yun Su said with a meaningful tone.

The Supervisor thought for a moment. “You don’t seem like someone from Black Port.”

“Instead, you seem like someone who has always lived in a world full of order and hope.” Otherwise, the Supervisor wouldn’t have misjudged in the beginning, truly believing that Chi Yun Su and ‘Guo Ruofan’ were outsiders and allowing them entry.

Although, in the end, it turned out not to be a bad thing.
