He took out another card. “Swipe this one.”
“My apologies, sir, but this card is also frozen,” the cashier replied with a smile once again.
All frozen? Is that old man actually being serious?!
Suppressing the surging anger in his heart, Zhou Lu gritted his teeth so hard they clicked, his fists clenching tighter and tighter.
“Use this one. I’ll pay for him.” Li Yan extended a card over.
“Who are you?” Zhou Lu asked suspiciously; he had never seen this man before.
“Li Yan,” he stated disdainfully to the person in front of him.
He did not want Zhou Lu to go on without even knowing who his own romantic rival was!
Due to the alcohol, Zhou Lu’s entire brain felt numb, and his processing of events was sluggish. Yet, the moment he thought he caught Li Yu’s name in relation to him, his eyes lit up. “Li Yu?!”
His mind hazy, Zhou Lu excitedly grabbed Li Yan’s hand. “Brother! Brother Yan! Hello, I am Li Yu’s boyfriend!”
Li Yan shoved him off in disgust, his brow knitting in revulsion. “What boyfriend? Hasn’t Xiao Yu already broken up with you?!”
Zhou Lu froze, rooted to the spot.
Li Yu had already broken up with him. How could he have forgotten that?
Zhou Lu lowered his eyes. With half of his face cast in shadow, he looked utterly despondent.
