As the slanting sunlight stretched into the hallway, the bell for the end of school rang right on time.
"Excuse me, is Kondo here?"
The noisy classroom fell silent the moment that voice spoke. It came from the doorway, where a girl stood and looked around the room. Her smooth, straight black hair fell long, and her eyes shone clear like glass beads. Every part of her face seemed made by a skilled craftsman, like a high-class doll.
It might be a bit much to say no one in the school knew her, but it was close enough to the truth. She was the student council president known for her cold manner, Ayase Kotone. She had also been one of the five main girls that Shimizu Ken won over in the past.
She stood there, pure and strong. Just her posture showed how different she was from the other girls. It even gave off a serious air that made people wonder if the space around her was cleaner than anywhere else.
"Ah, there you are."
Ayase Kotone spotted Kondo Yuuichi and walked straight to him. Some boys tried to stand and talk to her on the way, but they all gave up in the end. The cold "keep away" feeling from this flower on a high peak stopped them.
Yet when she reached Kondo Yuuichi, her face softened. The cold look that people called heartless melted away, and she gave him a warm smile.
"Why didn't you answer my message? I told you to come help carry some papers after school."
"Sorry, I'm busy today..."
"How can that be? You're in the go-home (didn't join any) club, right?"
"But I already promised someone else..."
Kondo Yuuichi looked troubled as Ayase Kotone pressed him with questions. He turned to Shimizu Ken and Amamiya Iori. Come to think of it, the three of them had planned to walk home together after school.
"It's fine," Amamiya Iori said with a helpful grin. "We'll wait for you."
Ayase Kotone sent her a thankful look for the support.
Just then, a male student walked up to Ayase Kotone. The others around them started to whisper when they saw who it was.
"Hey, hi there. I didn't expect the student president to visit our class."
The boy gave a bright smile. Ayase Kotone glanced at him and nodded a little out of politeness.
"Hello."
"Yeah, I guess this is our first meeting? I'm Andou Ryo from second-year class B."
"I see."
The boy who called himself Andou Ryo had brown-dyed hair and a messy uniform. A silver chain showed at his collar. He seemed like a modern, stylish guy, but Ayase Kotone stayed cold.
Shimizu Ken noticed a few boys in the back row give a thumbs-up to this "brave" one who had gone to talk to her.
"My friends talk about the student president a lot. I've wanted to meet you for a while. How about it? Want to grab some food after school?"
"No, thank you."
Ayase Kotone answered at once, without a pause.
Andou Ryo gave a small, bitter smile at the cold reply.
"Haha... you're pretty cold. Well, at least let's swap contact info? I'd like to get to know you."
"Sorry, I'm not interested. If that's all, I'll be going. Oh, and—"
Ayase Kotone looked at Andou Ryo and pointed to his neck.
He leaned back a little, eyes wide, as her cool gaze and slim finger aimed at him.
"That breaks school rules."
She ignored his panic and warned him coldly about the silver chain. Then she said, "Excuse me," and pulled Kondo Yuuichi away without another word.
The students who had watched without a sound now started to talk again.
Kondo Yuuichi did not look upset about being dragged off—after all, it was Ayase Kotone. But what caught Shimizu Ken's eye was the way she turned back just before leaving the room. She looked at him in the back row with a slightly puzzled face, then left.
That look left Shimizu Ken confused too. At this early point in the game, they should not know each other. They had never even spoken.
He decided it was just his imagination and thought back to the first loop. In that one, Ayase Kotone often found reasons to take Kondo Yuuichi away like this.
Shimizu Ken could never figure out why the cool president liked the quiet Kondo Yuuichi, but that was how these games worked. There was no point in complaining.
Anyway, the cold student president saw Kondo Yuuichi as a friend and junior she could open up to. Later, her feelings would grow into love.
Yet even she had left Kondo Yuuichi in the first loop.
Behind her strong, cold front, the student president was secretly an Eromanga Teacher (Eromanga-sensei). She also hid a strong hidden desire to be treated roughly, something she did not even know herself.
In the first loop, after Shimizu Ken won her over, that strange side seemed to wake up. He still remembered scenes of Ayase Kotone sticking out her hips and asking him to spank her.
The memory sent a chill down his back, like cold air on his neck.
He had finally escaped that evil system, but when he closed his eyes, those pretty pictures still played in his mind over and over.
Thinking of those heavy sins, Shimizu Ken clicked his tongue.
