Fu Yanci looked at the messy living room, slumped onto the sofa, and lit a cigarette, his chest feeling suffocated:

"Aunt Liu, haven't I been good enough to Madam? Does she really need to be this angry?"

Aunt Liu swept the floor and gently comforted him:Full novel: You Weren't Here During My Postpartum Confinement, Why Are You Crying Now That I'm Divorcing While Raising Our Child? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Mr. Fu is very good to Madam. In five years of marriage, I've never seen you two argue. It's just that women's emotions can fluctuate after giving birth, leading to postpartum depression. They need more care from their husbands."

Fu Yanci frowned:

"Are you saying she has postpartum depression? Other women don't change this much after giving birth; they remain gentle and considerate."

Aunt Liu paused: "Other women?"

Fu Yanci realized he had misspoke, his eyes flickering:

"I mean, my cousin just gave birth too, but her temperament is still gentle, and she never throws such unreasonable tantrums."

Aunt Liu mused:

"Oh, then she must have had her husband's full companionship. Unlike Madam, who carried the burden alone from pregnancy to childbirth and raising the child. A woman giving birth is a hurdle in itself, and a husband's companionship afterward is crucial."

Fu Yanci froze, lowered his head, and was silent for a moment, a trace of guilt and remorse crossing his mind.

"Aunt Liu, ask Zhang Sao where they are staying with the child now."

Aunt Liu replied, "A truck came to pick up things earlier. I asked the driver, and he said they moved to Wanshi Shengjing."

She hesitated, then mustered the courage to add:

"Sir, please spend more time with Madam. Madam was never like this before; you've been neglecting her lately."

Wanshi Shengjing... that was a mid-to-high-end residential complex in the new district, not an industry under the Fu Corporation.

Why would she move there?

He suddenly remembered Lin Sa mentioning two years ago that Tang Guo had bought a house in Wanshi Shengjing.

The thought of Tang Guo's rebellious words on the phone earlier made Fu Yanci's expression darken.

It seemed... Tang Guo must have instigated her to secretly purchase property there.

Women shouldn't have best friends; once they do, they tend to get brainwashed and go against their husbands.

Fu Yanci immediately called his assistant and quickly found Lin Sa's specific apartment number.

By the time he arrived, it was already nine in the evening.

Lin Sa had just finished a simple dinner with Zhang Sao and Tang Guo. After putting her daughter to sleep, she had Zhang Sao prepare a medicinal pack and enjoyed a relaxing herbal bath, washing away the greasy long hair and finally feeling much more at ease.

She walked out of the bathroom wrapped in a bathrobe, about to return to her bedroom to rest, when the doorbell suddenly rang.

Thinking it was Tang Guo, she yawned and opened the door:

"It's so late, why are you—"

Her voice abruptly stopped. Fu Yanci stood outside the door with a grim expression.

His voice was cold and sharp, filled with suppressed anger:

"Lin Sa, you just left home without a word?"

Before Lin Sa could respond, he forcefully pushed the door open and squeezed inside.

His tall figure loomed like a mountain, exuding his usual assertiveness, instantly dimming the entryway.

He quickly scanned the surroundings, and after taking in the layout of the entire house, the sharp aura around him slightly softened:

"The Taoyuan place was smashed beyond recognition by you, so you've grown tired of the old and sought the new. You bought this house, why didn't you tell your husband?"

Still with that condescending tone, he habitually pinched Lin Sa's earlobe as he finished, just like always.

His hand skillfully embraced her waist, and before she could speak, he habitually moved to press her against the wall.

But this time, Lin Sa did not obediently hook her neck. Instead, she nimbly slipped out from under his arm and quickly retreated two steps.

She stared at him coldly, her gaze as sharp as ice blades.

Fu Yanci felt an inexplicable panic, frowning in annoyance:

"Why are you like a little hedgehog? Look how spoiled you are. You've hit me, smashed things, and now you won't even talk to your husband?"

That deep, magnetic, and doting scolding tone was once what Lin Sa loved to hear the most.

Having lacked a father's love since childhood, she fell for her superior who was five years her senior precisely because Fu Yanci always exuded this stern yet doting "fatherly vibe."

Others might feel upset when he reprimanded them sternly, but she never minded. Instead, she enjoyed the feeling of being pushed by him.

But now, she had suddenly lost her fascination with this approach.

She let out a cold snort, her anger rising again. Casually, she grabbed a vase from the entryway cabinet, aimed it at his head, and sternly shouted:

"Get out!"

Fu Yanci's smiling eyebrows instantly turned stern.

"Haven't you made enough of a fuss? Lin Sa, I'm offering you a way out now. If you don't take it, this opportunity will be gone."

Lin Sa sneered:

"Keep your way out for yourself to slowly descend. I don't need it."

She had held back this resentment for too long.

She would never give up until those who had caused her so much pain saw blood.

Fu Yanci rubbed his temples, stepped forward, and carefully took the vase from her hand. Then, he quickly grasped Lin Sa's hands and lifted her slender body.

Lin Sa struggled desperately, but the man did not loosen his grip. He directly carried her to the sofa and pinned her underneath him.

His sharp eagle eyes seemed to pierce through her, his warm breath spraying by her ear:

"Alright, it's my fault. I've been spending more time with my cousin lately and neglected you. Be good, stop making trouble."

His hands were pressed above her head, rendering her unable to move. Just as Lin Sa was about to lift her legs, Fu Yanci tightly clamped them with his own long legs.

Her petite frame, at 1.62 meters and 45 kilograms, was like an ant trying to shake an elephant against his robust physique of 1.83 meters and 80 kilograms.

"Let go of me!"

"No. Be good, did you miss me?"

"Let... go!" Lin Sa roared through gritted teeth.

A smile flickered in Fu Yanci's eyes, his breathing deepening:

"You're out of your postpartum confinement, so it should be okay... Wife, I'll spend the night with you properly tonight."

After saying that, he lowered his head and gently bit Lin Sa's earlobe.

He knew her body like the back of his hand, always able to precisely target her sensitive spots.

But regarding her emotions, he didn't understand, nor had he ever intended to.

In the past, when Lin Sa threw tantrums, felt wronged, or resisted him... he always had a way to make her body soften first, and then wear her down until she had no temper left.

He had always succeeded before, always enjoying the thrill of conquest with Lin Sa.

But this time, it was different.

Lin Sa's whole body felt numb, like a piece of wood riddled with holes, completely devoid of sensation.

He tried every method, kissing and caressing her, but when he found Lin Sa unresponsive, he finally stopped, a hint of panic flashing in his eyes.

"Sa Sa, you..."

As soon as he released his grip to ask.

"Slap!"

Lin Sa, breaking free from his restraint, unhesitatingly raised her hand and slapped Fu Yanci hard across the face!

The air instantly froze.

Fu Yanci's expression turned so grim it could drip water.

It took a full minute before he suppressed his voice and spoke:

"Lin Sa, aren't you going too far?"

His gaze grew colder and colder, as if quenched with ice.

"When I said divorce, I wasn't throwing a tantrum. I was formally notifying you."

Lin Sa quickly tidied her clothes and immediately sat up opposite him, deliberately creating distance from Fu Yanci:

"Tomorrow, the lawyer will deliver the divorce agreement to your company. Once divorced, you can openly take care of your cousin and child."

Since they were divorcing, he could take care of them however he wanted from now on.

She wanted to avoid seeing it; her heart was already filled with disgust, and she didn't want to waste any more energy.

Faced with her indifferent demeanor, Fu Yanci finally lost his patience and stood up abruptly:

"Lin Sa!"

"You know better than anyone why I, Fu Yanci, chose you to marry!"
