Q: What do you do with a dad who loves his stepmom but not his own son?

Waiting online, pretty urgent.

Jun Yize said he wanted to go out and play, but Jun Lin ignored him.Full novel: Young Master, your wife has gotten into trouble again — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Xia Ruohan said she wanted to go shopping…

Jun Lin: “Sure.”

Followed by a gentle pat on the head.

Jun Yize: “……”

Since Xia Ruohan wanted to go shopping, Jun Yize didn’t have to study today, so the two of them accompanied her.

Girls love to shop, so even though Jun Yize wasn’t particularly interested, he had to unconditionally go along with Xia Ruohan’s suggestion.

“Jun Yize, I want to buy this outfit for you.”

Inside a children’s clothing store, Xia Ruohan’s eyes lit up as she looked at the clothes on the mannequin.

Jun Yize looked at the pale pink outfit and grimaced.

Jun Lin gave the sales clerk Jun Yize’s size, and the clerk brought over a set of clothes.

Jun Yize felt like crying.

“.Miss, this outfit… I just don’t think it’s… that great.” Jun Yize tried his best to refuse Xia Ruohan’s purchase in a tactful tone.

It was truly hideous.

Pink! Did she think he was a girl?

Xia Ruohan looked down at him. Just as Jun Yize was about to say something else, Jun Lin’s icy gaze fell upon him.

Jun Yize: “…Go ahead and buy it.”

It wasn’t his money, after all.

From then on, most of the clothes Xia Ruohan bought were that color.

The young master felt like crying but couldn’t.

They shopped until noon, when Xia Ruohan said she was hungry, so the group went to a restaurant for lunch.

“Young Master Jun.”

Just as they’d ordered, someone called out to Jun Lin.

Up walked a middle-aged man, and to her surprise, Ruan Jinxi was by his side.

Ruan Jinxi had her arm linked through his, and her expression changed the moment she saw Xia Ruohan.

“Jinxi? Are you here for lunch?” Xia Ruohan smiled at her, not giving much thought to why Ruan Jinxi would be there.

Ruan Jinxi forced a smile and nodded, then glanced at Jun Lin, who looked completely indifferent, as if he hadn’t even noticed her.

“Dad, isn’t this Mr. Wang, the guy who competed with you for that project last time?” Jun Yize looked completely innocent, his little arms propped on the table, his babyish voice sounding adorable.

Jun Lin didn’t answer him.

“Hey, big sister, let me tell you—this guy is really bad. He tried to snatch a project from my dad last time, and later that project flopped, costing him hundreds of millions.” Jun Yize’s voice wasn’t loud, but it was just clear enough for the others to hear.

Xia Ruohan glanced silently at General Manager Wang, then reached out to ruffle his hair. “Anyone who can compete with your dad for a project is no pushover.”

She meant no double meaning by this; she was simply responding to Jun Yize’s comment.

But to others, it sounded quite different.

As the waiter brought out the dishes, Xia Ruohan saw that Jun Lin had no intention of engaging with General Manager Wang or Ruan Jinxi. She asked, “Jinxi, have you eaten yet?”

“Not yet…”

“Eat.” ” Jun Lin said indifferently, handing the chopsticks to Xia Ruohan. The words Ruan Jinxi had been about to speak were abruptly choked off in her throat.

Xia Ruohan didn’t dare to be disrespectful in front of Jun Lin, so she obediently took the chopsticks and began eating.

Jun Yize chuckled and said to Ruan Jinxi, “Auntie, isn’t it a bit rude for you to just stand there watching us eat?”

A… Auntie?

Ruan Jinxi’s expression darkened once more, looking extremely displeased. But with Jun Lin present, she forced herself to remain patient and said, “Young Master, I’m the same age as Ruo Ruo.”

“Oh? Is that so?” Jun Yize slapped his forehead in sudden realization. “Then why do I feel like you’re older than Sister Xia? Maybe it’s just that Sister Xia looks so young.”

Ruan Jinxi was heavily dolled up in a tight dress and sky-high heels, standing in stark contrast to Xia Ruohan. Moreover, with a man sporting a beer belly standing right beside her, she looked at least a decade older—calling her “Auntie” wouldn’t be out of place.

Meanwhile, the man by Xia Ruohan’s side was Jun Lin—a man whom so many women could only dream of being with.
