Within the pattern encircled by purple flames, a blue and a red D-Wheel sped forward.
Mad laughter came from Kalin atop the blue D-Wheel.

Facing such an enormous monster, Yusei, riding the red D-Wheel, was speechless for a moment.
Farther away, Jack had arrived by helicopter at Goodwin’s request, and at this moment, he too witnessed the horrifying scene from the air.

At Yusei’s command, Stardust Dragon released a dragon’s roar and charged straight toward the incoming giant hand.
Yet the charging Stardust Dragon passed directly through the massive hand, and Yusei immediately understood.

I open my Set card and activate the Trap Card, Urgent Tuning!
It lets me perform a Synchro Summon during the Battle Phase!”
“What?!
At a time like this, what monster could you possibly bring out to save yourself?!”
“I won’t let that tragedy happen again!
Whether it’s Satellite or the Tops, I’ll protect them both!”
“So, Kalin!
I will defeat you right here!
Soar forth, Stardust Dragon!”
Yusei’s D-Wheel instantly accelerated.
At top speed, red waves of light enveloped both Yusei and Stardust Dragon.
“I tune my Level 8 Stardust Dragon with my Level 2 Formula Synchron!”

Yusei and Stardust Dragon vanished together into the red light.

They disappeared!” Kalin cried out in shock.
Jack, however, seemed to have witnessed this scene before.

The next moment, Yusei and an entirely new monster appeared behind Kalin.
“Be born!
Shooting Star Dragon!”

The white Shooting Star Dragon, trailing green fluorescent light, broke through the sound barrier and shot high into the sky, directly facing the giant Earthbound Immortal.
As the number of monsters on the field changed, Kalin’s attack was rewound by the Duel Disk’s ruling, forcing him to choose a target again.
“Even so, the outcome won’t change!
Earthbound Immortal, attack Yusei!” Kalin still gave the exact same attack command.
“I activate Shooting Star Dragon’s effect!
Once per turn, when the opponent declares an attack, I can banish this card to negate that attack!”
Shooting Star Dragon transformed into emerald particles of light and vanished into the sky.
Those particles spread across the Earthbound Immortal.
Wrapped within the particles, the Earthbound Immortal seemed restrained by some gentle force and halted its attack.
Seeing his attack about to fail, Kalin immediately activated his Set card.
“Not so fast!
I open my Set card and activate the Counter Trap, Chivalry!
Negate your Shooting Star Dragon’s effect and destroy it!”
“I also activate a Counter Trap, Dark Bribe!
Negate your Chivalry, and as compensation, you can draw one card.”
Neither side activated any further cards, and the Chain resolved.
Shooting Star Dragon successfully negated the Earthbound Immortal’s direct attack, and Kalin was forced to draw a card.
The Battle Phase ended, entering Main Phase 2.
“You barely escaped disaster!
I Set one card and end my turn.”
As the declaration of the turn’s end echoed out, the green particles of light gathered once more within a tornado, and Shooting Star Dragon returned to Yusei’s field.
Faced with Kalin’s mockery, Yusei could not refute him.
All of his Set cards had already been used up, and the only card left in his hand was the monster card “Junkuriboh.”
Kalin still had two Set cards on his field, along with the Earthbound Immortal whose effect remained unknown.
Because of that, victory or defeat would depend entirely on this draw.
“My turn, draw!”
After looking at the card he drew, Yusei thought for a moment before beginning his Main Phase.
“I activate Shooting Star Dragon’s effect!
I reveal the top five cards of my Deck, and then Shooting Star Dragon can attack a number of times equal to the number of revealed Tuner Monsters!”
The cards flipped over.

Stardust Mirage!
Shooting Star Dragon accelerated upward, spiraling through the air.

The icy breath struck, and Yusei’s three monsters instantly shattered into scattered ice fragments.
All of them were banished.

At Kalin’s command, the two monsters on his field launched their attacks.
The only Set card on Yusei’s field flipped open.
Scrap-Iron Scarecrow floated out alone and blocked Trishula’s freezing breath, but against the giant hand descending afterward, it no longer had the strength to resist.

The giant hand slammed down, shaking the earth.
