The three of them were shaken by what they had just seen.

Naturally, the most frightened among them was Blister.

He had finally realized just how horrifying the incident he had gotten involved in truly was.Full novel: Yu-Gi-Oh!: Who Taught You Guys Link Summoning?! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

At this moment, he wished he could travel back in time and strangle the past version of himself who had followed them down out of curiosity just to dig up some dirt.

After tonight, if any one of the three of them dared show their faces in the Tops again, they would absolutely end up mysteriously committing “suicide” for one reason or another.

The two people from Satellite beside him could always pat his butt and hide in Satellite for the rest of their lives afterward, but he was a legitimate law-abiding citizen of the Tops!

He still had to continue living here!

“This is the end…” Blister muttered in despair, as though sentencing himself to death.

Kazumo had already expected all of this.

In the 5D’s anime, the Goodwin brothers simultaneously controlled the three major factions of the era: Iliaster, the Dark Signers, and the Public Security Maintenance Bureau.

Both the heroes and villains were essentially their own people, and they had orchestrated one massive scheme to manipulate both sides at once.

Still, Kazumo was shocked by the sheer filth preserved within these records of the wealthy elites.

He never would have dreamed that Sayer was basically the damn Epstein of another world.

Sayer possessed huge amounts of blackmail material on major figures from the political and business worlds, and had even purchased overseas islands to entertain various powerful figures.

The Arcadia Movement charity organization was nothing more than a front he used to gather Duelists with Psychic potential or Spirit Power.

He not only recruited from society, but also searched through the orphanages under the charity organization for talented children worthy of focused training.

Those children would be sent to secretly established facilities where they underwent brainwashing and military training, ultimately becoming death squads loyal only to him.

“Heh.” When someone is truly speechless, they laugh instead.

Crow had already been angered into laughter, and his fists cracked loudly as he clenched them.

At last, the information they had been searching for appeared within the data.

“Luna and Leo are currently being held in the VIP room on the twenty-ninth floor.” Blister’s terminal screen flickered as surveillance footage was projected before them.

Inside the VIP room appeared Luna and Leo, both sleeping on the bed.

Another corridor recording then began playing.

Within the footage, Kazumo recognized Tanner, with his blue spiky hair, and old man Yanagi.

The two were being escorted by a Duelist and thrown into a room along the corridor.

“These two came together with them.

They’re currently locked inside a maintenance room deeper underground.”

“Alright, now that the objectives are clear, who do we rescue first?”

Blister looked toward the two beside him and asked.

Within this three-man team, the ones truly making decisions were still Kazumo and Crow.

“Ah!

W-Who are you people?!” A woman’s scream interrupted them.

The three immediately looked up.

There stood a young woman with long black hair.

She wore a blue-and-white striped long-sleeved shirt beneath a brown vest, along with jeans and sneakers. Visit novelping.com for the full chapter.

Her thick round glasses beneath her straight bangs obscured much of her face, while the glare reflecting off the lenses mirrored the shock on the trio’s faces.

The girl panicked and immediately turned around, intending to retreat back into the emergency stairwell behind her.

Blister instantly quick-drew in true “American iaijutsu” fashion.

The handgun at his waist snapped out as two black circular rounds shot from the barrel, striking the girl squarely in the back.

Her body visibly stiffened… but the pain she expected never came.

Aside from a slight impact on her back, she suffered no injury at all.

She immediately let out a sigh of relief.

Abruptly, then, the powerful electric current spreading from her back paralyzed her body.

Before she could even scream, she collapsed backward onto the glass floor.

Blister blew at the barrel of his gun.

With a flick of his wrist, the handgun returned to the holster at his waist.

“So Pro!” Kazumo and Crow both gave him thumbs-up praise simultaneously.

Only then did the three leisurely walk over to inspect the intruding girl.

The moment he got a closer look, Kazumo nearly laughed.

Wasn’t this Carly Carmine?

She had actually managed to sneak past security this tight?

Kazumo slapped his forehead.

Oh right, they had already disabled the security systems.

Right now, practically anyone could enter.

Kazumo immediately explained things to his companions beside him.

“Don’t worry.

I know this woman.

Her name is Carly Carmine.

She’s Jack’s girlfriend and also a reporter.”

“Tch, Jack’s taste really sucks.

He found someone this plain?” Crow glanced disdainfully at the country-looking girl with thick glasses lying on the floor, though the jealousy in his tone was impossible to hide.

“So she’s one of us, then.

What do we do with her?” Blister asked.

Blister felt that he had already received more than enough shocking information tonight.

At this point, even hearing gossip from Kazumo that the King had a rumored girlfriend no longer stirred any emotion within him.

“Mm, let’s just bring her along while we’re at it.

Then we’ll head upstairs and rescue Luna and Leo first?” Kazumo thought briefly before asking Crow.

Crow immediately nodded in agreement.

When it came to rescuing the children first, there was nothing to hesitate about.

Thus, Blister hoisted the paralyzed Carly Carmine onto his back and followed behind the other two toward the upper floors. New chapters come out on g.com first.

As for Carly Carmine herself, she could only passively accept the trio’s arrangements while paralyzed.

Although her body could not move, she had heard all of their conversation.

Once she heard they were acquaintances of Jack, she stopped worrying about her safety.

Instead, Kazumo’s remark about her being Jack’s girlfriend sent her imagination running wild.

Draped over Blister’s back, she continuously let out lovestruck giggles.

The sound gave Blister goosebumps all over.

Returning to the main hall, the four arrived before the elevator and waited for one headed upward.

Ding.

A crisp notification sounded as the elevator arrived.

The doors slowly opened.

However, the one who stepped out was a red-haired Duelist.

“Sayer!” Kazumo blurted out the Duelist’s name.

The other three were equally shocked.

None of them had expected him to appear directly before them.

“Little mice, are you having fun inside my home?” Sayer carried himself with elegance as he slowly walked before the four.

The two sides confronted each other within the vast hall.

“Who sent you?

Goodwin?

Or some other old fossil?”

His gaze swept across the four people before him.

Seeing that none of their expressions changed at the names he mentioned, Sayer smiled and continued.

“So it’s neither of them.

Since you’re just curious little mice, then I can safely deal with you right here!”

Sayer tapped several buttons on his Duel Disk, reactivating the security systems as the main doors slammed shut.

Seeing this, Crow immediately moved to charge forward, only for Kazumo to stop him with an outstretched hand.

“I’ll handle him.

You two go rescue the others first.”

After a brief moment of hesitation, Crow gritted his teeth, turned around, and called for Blister.

The two quickly rushed into the emergency stairwell.

Within the enormous hall, only Kazumo, Sayer, and the forcibly “spectating” Carly Carmine remained.

“I quite enjoy games of cat and mouse myself.

So, I’ll start by devouring the little mouse left behind.”

The Duel Disk decorated with golden ornaments unfolded from Sayer’s arm.

Kazumo wasted no words.

He equipped his Duel Disk and initiated the Duel.

“Duel!” ×2
