At the sound of Lucas Walker’s voice, the bodyguards waiting outside instantly barged in.
With a wave of his hand, Lucas was immediately handed a gun.
“Bring her back to me,” his frown deepening into an angry growl.
He added sternly, “Don’t harm her!”
The bodyguards acknowledged the command and dashed downstairs.
Lucas raised his gun, aiming at a figure darting across the deck.
Under the sun, Ivana Bennett wore only an open back dress, revealing vast spans of skin on her back, which was as warm and polished as jade.
Bracing his gun against Ivana’s back, Lucas Walker bellowed threateningly, “Stop, or I will shoot!”
Ivana acted as if she hadn’t heard him.
Instead of stopping, she accelerated.
She guessed that she was no more than eight meters away from her target.
As long as Lucas didn’t hit her vital parts, she had a chance to escape…
She didn’t believe that he could aim accurately.
Bang!
Bang!
Two gunshots rang out, but instead of aiming at Ivana, he was aiming at the jet skis on the deck.
He hit the fuel tank dead center.
Lucas knew what she was planning, but he would not allow her to escape.
Reluctant to shoot her, he could at least destroy the jet skis.
Bang!
Two jet skis exploded one after the other.
Facing the sudden burst of flames, Ivana had just enough time to shield her face with her arm.
The powerful shock wave from the blast flung her back, causing her to fall onto the deck.
Her body hit the ground heavily, and she braced herself with her arms.
Her vision darkened, and she blacked out.
At this time, the bodyguards had already charged nearby, they rushed towards Ivana.
Lucas, on the terrace above, angrily tossed his gun aside, leaned heavily on the railing, and jumped down from the terrace.
His movements were as precise as hers but lacked her lightness, and yet he was just as agile as a cheetah.
Once he landed on the deck, Lucas Walker shouted harshly at the bodyguards.
“No one touches her.”
The bodyguards who had rushed to Ivana’s side all halted in their tracks, surrounding her but none dared to approach.
Striding over, Lucas quickly squatted next to her and checked her pulse.
Her pulse was a bit weak but not threatening.
His heart, which had risen into his throat, finally returned to its place.
He stretched out his arm, intending to pick her up, but when he saw her dress slipping down her thighs, he cursed in English.
His palm made a fist as he tugged hard, ripping open the buttons on his shirt.
Once he had removed his white shirt, Lucas carefully wrapped it around Ivana’s body, his voice icy and stern.
“Look away.”
The bodyguards did not dare to disobey and turned their backs, not daring to glance at Ivana.
Placing Ivana’s hands on her chest, he noticed the blurred wound on her right hand, and Lucas Walker’s brow tightened even further.
He cursed again.
Who gave her the right to injure herself?
This little girl, she even dared to ruin his belongings!
It was simply, outrageous!
Lucas Walker felt as if he were losing his mind, his movements while holding her unconsciously grew rougher.
“Eek!”
Her injured hand was jostled by Lucas Walker, and the unconscious Ivana let out a small groan.
Now you know it hurts?
What were you thinking, risking it all just now?!
Filled with anger and vexation, Lucas Walker’s grip nevertheless eased a bit.
Heading towards the stairs, he carefully bent his waist, trying his best not to jostle her injured hand.
“Call the doctor up here!”
