Sitting on a chair to the side, Jiang Youyang looked at Kong Ning and Wei Mu with a smile, though there was a hint of a bitter expression at the corner of her mouth.

Lucky guys.

Beside her, Shen Nanxi silently impaled a piece of apple with her fork and ate it, remarking, “You’d better stop looking. “It’s interesting, really. It’s not that someone was a step too slow, it’s just that her eyes never held anyone else to begin with.” Jiang Youyang shook her head, and seeing Shen Nanxi beside her, she suddenly wanted to find another topic to chat about.

“I heard you write novels. Looking at it that way, we both make a living off the internet. I forgot to give a detailed introduction earlier, Jiang Youyang, a specialized online clean-up expert, commonly known as a hacker. If you ever need anything, hit me up, I’ll give you a 50% discount.”

For some reason, Jiang Youyang proactively shared her own secret.

“Hello, Shen Nanxi, an obscure and unknown writer. I hope to reach the point of being famous enough to get hacked and flamed by the whole internet someday, I’ll definitely look for you then.” Shen Nanxi speared another piece of apple, speaking to Jiang Youyang with a smile.

“How did you know?” Jiang Youyang’s words had a double meaning; she had thought no one would know.

“After I started writing novels, I picked up a new hobby: I like observing people to gather material,” Shen Nanxi replied.

“I see. So if I were in your novel, how would you write me?” Jiang Youyang suddenly became very interested in chatting with Shen Nanxi.

“Hmm, for now I only write novels without romantic pairings. But if it were you, how about making you an unrequited, tragic third female lead in a future romance story?” Shen Nanxi pondered.

Though she probably wouldn’t write romance stories anyway.

“Do I have to be that miserable?” Jiang Youyang sighed.

“What can I do? You’re the third female lead. From the start, you weren’t the destined main character. The main characters will end up together in the end, regardless of how long it takes.” Shen Nanxi patted Jiang Youyang on the shoulder.

At that moment, Shen Nanxi noticed Kong Ning still unable to resist glancing at Wei Mu. She burst out laughing, “Pfft.”

“Jiang Youyang, reality is sometimes quite exciting too. Being a bystander isn’t bad either.”

“I think so too.” Jiang Youyang likewise speared a piece of apple to eat.

“Do you want me to add a fourth female lead for you?” Shen Nanxi asked.

“Not for now. I’m waiting for one of the main characters to do something stupid. Who knows, maybe it’s a harem-selection story.”

“You even know about that?” Shen Nanxi was surprised.

“When I have nothing to do, I like surfing the web.” A smile tugged at the corner of Jiang Youyang’s mouth.

“So you’ll want a fourth female lead later then?”

“Maybe.”

Because the mood was so great, the two close friends Ning Qing and Le Xiu called for alcohol, wanting to sing to their hearts’ content. What was mind-boggling was that out of eight people in total, within a short time, four drunks emerged.

Jiang Youyang kept drinking and no one dared to persuade her otherwise. Fortunately, she had a high tolerance for alcohol, so she was only half-drunk with her consciousness intact.

Shen Nanxi passed out after being persuaded to drink just a few sips. Fortunately, she was a quiet drunk, she simply lay there, neither crying nor making a scene.

Wei Mu drank slowly and methodically, one glass after another.

Out of spite, whenever Wei Mu drank a glass, Kong Ning drank one too.

On the other hand, the four who were drinking while singing didn’t drink much since they had to sing. By the time they turned around and discovered the four drunks, it was already too late.

“Stop drinking so much.” Kong Ning finally couldn’t hold back any longer. She tottered over to sit beside Wei Mu, took her wine glass, and set it down heavily on the coffee table.

“So you still care about me,” Wei Mu said coldly, looking at Kong Ning.

“Isn’t that obvious? Of course I have to care about you.” Kong Ning was a little angry. Even though it was usually Wei Mu who took care of her, in her heart, Kong Ning had already assumed the responsibility of looking after Wei Mu.

“You’re so good to me.” As she spoke, Wei Mu’s eyes looked silly. Her tone suddenly shifted as she cooed affectionately to Kong Ning.

So, whenever she drank alcohol, Kong Ning would care about her and mind her? Wei Mu thought with her confused mind.

Afterward, she wanted to pick up the glass to continue drinking, but was stopped by Kong Ning.

That makes me good? Kong Ning felt doubtful. Wei Mu, acting like this will get you tricked by someone in the future, this won’t do at all. Kong Ning wrapped her arms around Wei Mu, who had burrowed into her chest, and let out a helpless sigh.

Wei Mumu, you put on quite an act today.

A spoiled brat who needs coaxing.

“Kong Ning, I feel so terrible.” After getting drunk, Wei Mu only felt immense grievance. Nestled in Kong Ning’s arms, all those details she usually deliberately ignored resurfaced.

Her parents didn’t like her.

Kong Ning… didn’t like her either.

If Kong Ning didn’t like her, why bother staying entangled, why keep anticipating, only to learn the truth that Kong Ning disliked her? Wei Mu hadn’t wanted to reply anymore, nor had she dared to meet her again.

But Kong Ning had clearly promised to like her for a lifetime.

When she was little, Kong Ning had said she would marry her so she wouldn’t be alone.

Little liar.

In the end, Wei Mu had still come to the gathering.

Even if Kong Ning truly disliked her, she still couldn’t resist coming to see her.

Why did Kong Ning dislike her? Couldn’t she just like her? She herself already liked Kong Ning so much.

At the thought of this, Wei Mu’s eyes turned red, on the verge of crying.

“Don’t cry, don’t cry.” Kong Ning’s head was spinning. Seeing the rare sight of a grown-up Wei Mu crying, her heart panicked, and she felt like crying herself.

“You know that ever since I was little, I couldn’t bear to see you cry.”

From childhood to adulthood, if anyone ever tried to mess with Wei Mu, Kong Ning would be the first to jump in and beat them up. Although as Wei Mu grew up and became increasingly popular, hardly anyone ever did such things anymore.

Yet on many late nights, unbeknownst to anyone, the warm and gentle Wei Mu during the day would hide under her blanket and cry silently because of a certain person.

“Kong Ning, you’re terrible.” Why do I just have to like her? Why doesn’t this blockhead like me back? Tears welled up in Wei Mu’s eyes as she made a childish accusation.

“Alright, alright, alright, I’m terrible.” Kong Ning caught Wei Mu’s wildly flailing hands.

“All you know how to do is dislike me,” Wei Mu said angrily.

“Nobody likes me,” Wei Mu added, feeling aggrieved all over again.

“I don’t dislike you, stop crying.”

Kong Ning coaxed Wei Mu. She didn’t want Wei Mu to cry. As Wei Mu’s tears fell continuously like connected strings of pearls, Kong Ning grew increasingly agitated.

So what if she drops a few small pearls? But why am I feeling so extremely upset?

Use your hands, use your mouth, use anything you want, just don’t let Wei Mu cry any longer.

She felt as if she were seeing the childhood Wei Mu, who would always run to her house holding a bunny doll after her parents argued, hiding behind her. Wherever she went, Wei Mu would clutch her sleeve, looking at her with red rimmed eyes like a little rabbit.

She, Kong Ning, had been a compassionate person since childhood; she couldn’t bear to see cute little rabbits cry.

“I really don’t dislike you, really. If you don’t believe me, feel my heart, it’s very sincere.” Kong Ning hugged the person in her arms tightly, placing the other’s hand against her own heart.

“Nonsense, you just dislike me! I know it all, I remember everything!” Wei Mu poked Kong Ning, feeling how soft it was.

Wei Mu remembered every single thing related to Kong Ning with absolute clarity. Along with Kong Ning’s antagonism every time, she recorded it all in a little notebook.

She wanted Kong Ning to look at her, yet she was also hurt by her dislike.

She wanted to record every bit of Kong Ning’s “badness,” not missing a single stroke. If she ever found the little Kong Ning who had sworn to like her for a lifetime when they were young, she was going to demand payback line by line.

Kong Ning’s head was about to explode. Coupled with the “restlessness” of Wei Mu’s hand just now, she decided to solve the source of the noise right at the root.

“Mmh, ” Wei Mu’s beautiful eyes opened slightly; she regained a sliver of sobriety.

Their lips touched. Kong Ning flipped over, pressing Wei Mu beneath her body. Amidst the noise, she blocked Wei Mu’s crying complaints with her lips.

“Shut up, stop crying.” Having coaxed her for so long, Kong Ning felt a bit impatient. She paused for a moment and whispered into Wei Mu’s ear.

“Wei Mu, I don’t dislike you. From childhood to adulthood, I’ve never disliked you.” Kong Ning swore calmly.

At most, she had felt a tiny bit of jealousy.

Jealous of the other party who was always shining so brightly. It was an indescribable feeling, she just wanted to go against her because she was afraid of forever falling behind Wei Mu.

“Besides, who says nobody likes you?”

“I like you.” In the end, Kong Ning finally voiced her stubborn inner feelings, candid and passionate.

She didn’t know what kind of liking this was, but she was certain that out of the entire world, she was the person who liked Wei Mu the most.

In her heart, Wei Mu was the best person there was.

“I like you too.” Wei Mu froze for a moment before speaking these words with total clarity. Then she wrapped her arms around Kong Ning’s neck and pressed close once again.

“If you don’t want me to cry, then keep kissing me, okay?”

“Okay.”

Wei Mu taught Kong Ning what a real kiss was.

Having spoken those words, Kong Ning completely fell into the maze of alcohol. Her mind was filled with thoughts:

So sweet, so soft, I really want to keep tasting it.

Upon receiving a response from the person beneath her, she grew increasingly reckless, nibbling and kissing away.

In a corner hidden from everyone else’s view, Kong Ning followed the steps, kissing gently and softly.

Between her eyebrows, the passionate corners of her eyes, capturing her earlobes and lip peaks, moving down to the front of her neck, that perkily raised tip of her chin, the high-tilted head, expressing the heartbeat beneath her whimpers.

Holding those wildly moving fingertips, she then softly kissed and lightly suckled them, teasing and stirring the heart of the person beneath her, a hunter bound to succeed.

The white rabbit surrendered obediently; the blushing corners of her eyes turned even redder amidst the entanglement of their lips and teeth.

Tying up strands of hair, the hand wrapped around her neck slipped into her hair. The person who had tasted sweetness held the teacher, cupping her cheeks with broad yet slender hands to press down a deep kiss, proving her proud achievements through action.

Consciousness was sinking; naive willpower silently collapsed. The two drunk individuals didn’t want to think about anything else.

Drunk in the realm of night, this sweet dream.

How fortunate to meet the one I desire.

A fortunate encounter, physical desire, endless joy, endless love, utterly wild in this night.

“Holy shit, ”

Ning Qing, who was planning to rest on the sofa, felt she was hallucinating. She even rubbed her eyes.

“You’re not seeing things, it’s real.” Holding a wine glass, Guo Tong pointed it out with a smile beside her.

Did they just reach a happy ending? Isn’t this a bit too passionate?!

“Damn it, ! Are the two of them… doing it because of the alcohol?” Le Xiu was swaying with a microphone in hand, but when she turned around and looked upon hearing the sound, she gasped in awe.

“Quick, move the mic away,” Yu Lingbo said. It would be so embarrassing if those two were startled.

The word “damn” echoed through the room thanks to the microphone. Le Xiu’s subsequent words weren’t broadcasted because Yu Lingbo snatched the mic away the very second she spoke.

Besides, those two passionately lost individuals couldn’t hear a single sound from the outside world anyway.

“Stop looking. If those two find out later, they’ll silence us,” the half-drunk Jiang Youyang said to them as she opened her eyes, still hugging a bottle of booze in her arms.

Everyone believed the drunk Jiang Youyang’s words, leaving the drunk girl alone to admire the view. In her hazy state, the scene from the day school started flashed before Jiang Youyang’s eyes, and she slowly fell asleep.

Half an hour later, everyone, who was trying their best to ignore Kong Ning and Wei Mu, felt helpless and gave up. Kissing for so long, are these two perpetual motion machines?!

Finally, after waiting another half hour, there seemed to be no more movement. Just as they were planning to carry one back to each dorm, they discovered that these two simply couldn’t be separated.

Since Shen Nanxi was also knocked out after one glass and couldn’t get up, she was supported by Yu Lingbo, while the half-drunk Jiang Youyang was supported by Guo Tong. On this side, only Le Xiu was left to pull Kong Ning away, while Ning Qing pulled Wei Mu from the other side.

After tossing and turning for half a day, Kong Ning’s hands wrapped around Wei Mu just couldn’t be pried open.

Kong Ning, is this what you called your sworn enemy and arch-nemesis?!

Le Xiu sighed once more. She really should have taken a picture to show Kong Ning when she sobered up, just to see how Kong Ning could possibly stay stubborn after that.

“These two can’t be pulled apart, what are we going to do tonight?” Le Xiu said helplessly.

“Didn’t Kong Ning rent an apartment? Let’s take them there,” Ning Qing reminded her, having heard about it from Yu Lingbo last time.

“Sigh, that girl Kong Ning guards her nest very strictly; she didn’t tell us where she lives at all,” Le Xiu continued.

“That’s tricky then!” Yu Lingbo sighed as well.
