11 – So exciting!
Xu Ni clenched her fists tightly, feeling as if he had already licked her ear. Unable to bear it any longer, she abruptly pushed him away, her face flushing red as a persimmon: “Too fast, I’m not ready. I’m a relatively traditional person…”
Fu Guidu lowered his gaze to look at her.
He didn’t speak.
Looking all prim and proper, like a respectable gentleman.
Quite the actor.
Xu Ni took a deep breath and spoke again: “It’s too erotic, I…”
Perhaps it was just her imagination.
In the dim light, the man seemed to faintly curl his lips.
The next second.
He tilted his chin, gesturing for her to look behind him, his tone light and inscrutable: “King, Miss Xu doesn’t like it. Not allowed.”
Xu Ni: ?
She turned her head.
An enormous horse face was right before her eyes.
Dark and shadowy.
Breathing hot air.
Xu Ni’s expression turned cold: “…”
Suddenly, there was no trace of shivers left on her neck.
Only disgust remained.
How to solve the problem of chasing a man while constantly embarrassing oneself along the way?
Her persona was about to crumble!
“What are you looking at so intently?” someone asked.
Fu Qibai, however, frowned as he gazed toward the dark, unlit stable in the distance. Why did he think he had just caught a glimpse of Xu Ni’s figure? How could she be here?
Fu Qibai set down his glass. “I’ll be right back. You all keep drinking.”
Ignoring the others’ questions, he strode toward the stable.
The stable was unlit, empty and dim.
Just as he was about to push the door open,
it swung open ahead of him.
Immediately after, Fu Guidu stepped out, holding a riding crop. The dark brown riding suit accentuated his tall, well-proportioned figure, making him look even more restrained and handsome. His black hair swayed in the wind, and beneath his dark lashes, his eyes seemed even darker than that day. His crimson lips looked as though he had just bitten the neck of his prey—both stunning and unsettling.
Fu Qibai’s steps halted abruptly.
A cool breeze brushed past.
Goosebumps rose on his back.
“Fifth Uncle, what are you doing here?”
Fu Guidu was only three years older than him, but Fu Qibai had never liked him, feeling inexplicably intimidated.
Especially after the kneeling punishment last time, when even his father couldn’t plead for leniency.
Moreover, his father and Fu Guidu currently had a strained relationship.
It was a time of power struggles, and everyone had their own hidden agendas.
He hadn’t seen Fu Guidu many times in total. In his memory, Fu Guidu was usually abroad, only returning for his grandparents’ birthdays and important holidays.
Today, Cheng Yang’s younger brother had invited him to come hang out.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have come.
Fu Guidu’s expression remained unreadable. “You want to ride?”
Fu Qibai immediately glanced behind the door, a strange urgency stirring in his heart. “Yes, I thought I’d give it a try. I’m not as skilled as you in horsemanship, just a casual ride.”
He couldn’t have been mistaken earlier, could he?
If that were the case…
Was Xu Ni with Fifth Uncle?
Impossible!
Fu Guidu seemed oblivious to Fu Qibai’s expression and stepped aside to clear the path.
Fu Qibai hurriedly rushed inside.
But all he found was emptiness.
There was no sign of Xu Ni anywhere.
Fu Qibai inexplicably breathed a sigh of relief.
Could it have been an illusion caused by thinking about Xu Ni constantly these past few days? In all his relationships, he had never faced such a major setback. He couldn’t let go of Xu Ni—he had only strayed physically; emotionally, he still loved her. Couldn’t they just resolve this properly?
Not finding Xu Ni,
Fu Qibai exhaled. Heaven knew he had broken into a cold sweat the moment he saw Fu Guidu. Thankfully, nothing had happened.
Besides,
Fu Guidu had always disliked romantic entanglements. Xu Ni was too flirtatious—in Fu Guidu’s eyes, she would surely be nothing more than cheap makeup.
“What are you looking for?” Fu Guidu asked casually.
Fu Qibai snapped back to attention. “Nothing, just looking around.”
The man Xu Ni was currently seducing still hadn’t been found. He refused to believe there was no trace to uncover. Anyone who dared touch someone belonging to Fu Qibai would have to face some consequences.
