15 – Chapter 15

An Sheng smiled cheerfully at You Xin, “Want to go another round?”

You Xin stared at her blankly, only snapping out of it when Ning Yun’ai patted him. “You… you cheated! You must have played this before!”

“A sore loser – is that how your parents taught you to behave?” Bo Jinye spoke coldly.

You Xin pouted, both aggrieved and unwilling, glaring at An Sheng.

“I really haven’t played before. If you think I cheated or want another match, I’m always welcome to it. But right now I’m tired.” An Sheng hugged the displeased Bo Jinye with a laugh.

You Xin opened his mouth, but upon seeing Bo Jinye’s cold, deep gaze, closed it again and shook his head. “Fourth Brother is right. I, You Xin, am no sore loser.”

“I lost fair and square. My skills were inferior – I have nothing to say. You’re really good.”

After speaking, You Xin posted in the world channel: “I admit defeat…”

Then he gazed sorrowfully at his account before quickly logging off.

An Sheng teased him, “Are you convinced in your heart, or just with your words?”

“I… I’m completely convinced!” You Xin pouted.

“Then call me Fourth Sister-in-law,” An Sheng immediately demanded.

You Xin jumped up, “Don’t even think about it!”

“Then you’re just paying lip service. Want another round? I can beat you until you’re truly convinced,” An Sheng raised an eyebrow.

Ning Yun’ai held You Xin’s head down. After struggling internally for a long time, You Xin finally squeezed out a mosquito-like whisper, “Fourth Sister-in-law…”

An Sheng responded cheerfully, “Yes—”

Shi Yan and Bo Xiyuan walked out together. “How did you know Little Madam would win?”

Bo Xiyuan played with his phone, “Just a feeling…”

“Since when did you develop women’s intuition?” Shi Yan laughed.

Bo Xiyuan glanced at him lightly before leaning closer. “This is called prediction.”

Shi Yan looked at the man who was now inches away and raised his hand to pat his face. “Back off. I need to return to the company.”

“You seem to have lost weight recently. Is the company busy?” Bo Xiyuan’s eyes wandered around the other man’s waist.

The neat white shirt outlined a slender waist.

Bo Xiyuan walked over and measured with his palm. “You’ve definitely lost weight.” Unconsciously, the man had virtually encircled his private assistant in his embrace.

Shi Yan looked down at himself. “Really? I hadn’t noticed. Probably because we’ve been working overtime recently to prepare the new quarterly plan.”

“Have you been eating properly?” Bo Xiyuan frowned.

Shi Yan smiled, “I can’t remember either. It’s fine, things will be better after this week.”

“Should I come take care of you? So you don’t work yourself to death and dump your work on me,” Bo Xiyuan lowered his voice.

Shi Yan looked at him with an amused expression. “You? You need to stay by President Bo’s side.”

“Besides, you couldn’t handle my work anyway. If I die, someone else will take over.”

“Don’t talk nonsense,” Bo Xiyuan pinched the soft flesh at the private assistant’s waist.

Shi Yan quickly dodged, “Oh, you’re so annoying. I’m going back.”

Bo Xiyuan saw him out, then turned to see Ning Yun’ai. “Doctor Ning heading back?”

“Yes. Little You Xin is sulking alone in his room. Remember to call him for dinner,” Ning Yun’ai smiled.

In the small study, Bo Jinye held An Sheng’s slender, jade-like fingers, curiously squeezing them. “Sheng Sheng’s hands are so amazing!”

An Sheng smiled softly at him, “Amazing?”

“Amazing…” the man murmured, his lips descending to kiss her ring finger.

Over and over, he kissed the place where a wedding ring should be.”Sheng Sheng’s finger looks so empty here, not pretty at all,” Bo Jinye murmured softly, his warm lips kissing every inch of her hand.

“I want to buy Sheng Sheng a ring, to keep her firmly by my side.”

The man lifted his face, his eyes filled with deep obsession.

“Sheng Sheng, do you want me? Do you want me?”

An Sheng leaned in and embraced him. “What if I say no?”

“Sheng Sheng can only say yes. If you refuse, I’ll…” Bo Jinye didn’t finish his sentence, instead capturing the girl’s soft lips with his own.

[I’ll turn Brocade Garden into a gilded cage you can never escape from, imprisoning you forever.]

[All my love and hatred, I give entirely to you. Your love and hatred must also be poured solely into me.]

[Whether you accept it or not, I refuse to let you belong to anyone else—you can’t even belong to yourself.]

[You’re mine, Sheng Sheng, you’re mine…]

What on earth has gotten into this man?

An Sheng paid no mind to her explosive popularity in “War Assassination”—such games were merely practice for her.

Besides, back when she first started exploring computers and the internet, she seemed to have participated in designing a similar game.

But she’d long forgotten about it; it was just something she’d tinkered with out of interest shortly after getting acquainted with technology.

As expected, You Xin didn’t come out for dinner that evening. Bo Xiyuan had a servant bring the meal to his room.

The young master was full of pride, and having been thoroughly humiliated by Little Madam today, he was bound to be sulky for a few days.

Fortunately, Little Madam didn’t mind, treating it as merely teasing a child.

That night, after An Sheng fell asleep, Bo Jinye quietly got up, dimmed the room lights, and carefully slipped out.

Bo Xiyuan came downstairs for coffee and was startled to see Bo Jinye sitting on the carpet, fiddling with something.

“President Bo, aren’t you going to sleep?” Bo Xiyuan approached and widened his eyes in astonishment upon seeing what the man was doing.

President Bo… doing needlework?!

Was he seeing things? He must be hallucinating, right?

Or had President Bo finally lost his mind?

“Hmm, I’m sewing a pillow for Sheng Sheng,” Bo Jinye replied without looking up, frowning as he continued threading the needle.

Why was this so difficult? And it kept pricking his fingers—it hurt.

“Is Little Madam uncomfortable while sleeping? Why not just buy one? Sewing it yourself…” Bo Xiyuan trailed off.

If you sew it yourself, the stitches will be so crude—will it even be usable?

Bo Jinye carefully placed the prepared millet grains into the brocade fabric. “Of course, the one I sew will be better than anything from outside.”

“Sheng Sheng rubbed her neck last time she woke up—probably because the pillow was uncomfortable. This millet was used by ancient people to make pillows, and it’s hard to find nowadays.”

Bo Xiyuan was speechless. He could only pour Bo Jinye a cup of tea before returning to his room.

He couldn’t help with this task—it was better to let President Bo handle it himself.

Bo Jinye worked all night, barely managing to finish two pillows, which he proudly carried upstairs.

An Sheng was sound asleep. Bo Jinye gently lifted her, replaced the pillow, and lay back down, holding her close.

When An Sheng woke up, she habitually turned her neck and snuggled against the man’s waist, lingering in bed.

Usually, Bo Jinye would cuddle her, squirming around in bed, insisting on kissing and being affectionate before getting up.

But today was different. He held An Sheng up and pointed at the pillow. “Look!”

An Sheng glanced over in confusion. “Huh? Why is the pillow changed?”

“Is it comfortable?” Bo Jinye asked eagerly.

An Sheng blinked, lay back down to carefully feel it, and gave a serious evaluation. “It is quite comfortable, and the fabric is nice.”

“But… it’s a bit ugly. Oh, and there’s a loose thread here.”Bo Jinye’s handsome face completely fell as he turned away, not wanting to pay attention to An Sheng. “Sheng Sheng is mean…”

An Sheng was puzzled. “Hmm?”

[“I worked on it all night!”]

An Sheng exclaimed, “Ah!”
