Sui Yuye coughed awkwardly and pulled Qi Shengxian along. “Alright, let’s go. It’s all a misunderstanding anyway. Mian Guanfei… I actually know him, and he’s not a bad person.”

Mian Guanfei said, “Wait.”

“What’s your relationship with Shao Jinghe?”

Sui Yuye was taken aback. “Just an ordinary one. We used to be classmates.”

Mian Guanfei smiled faintly, a smile that was beautiful yet unsettling. “Yesterday, Shao Jinghe said you threw yourself into his arms and left wearing his clothes. Your own clothes were left behind at his place.”

“…That’s not it.” Sui Yuye’s mouth went stiff.

“Brother, weren’t you with Mian Guanfei? Why did you go to Shao Jinghe’s place?” Qi Shengxian also threw out a question.

Both of their voices were calm, but Sui Yuye couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.

“I just asked Shao Jinghe to cover for me, so I used that method,” he said, pulling Qi Shengxian away quickly and brushing it off with a laugh. “Besides, you’ve changed so much I didn’t recognize you at the time. I thought you wanted me to be Cub.”

Back home.

Sui Yuye was searching for something in the bedroom when Qi Shengxian, standing at the door, said, “Brother, we’re out of vinegar. I’ll go buy some.”

Sui Yuye nodded. Before he could find the photo, his phone rang. On the other end was a pleasant male voice, one that sounded familiar—it was one of the Fu twins:

“Sui Yuye, don’t forget to be there at eight tomorrow morning.”

Sui Yuye laughed. “Don’t worry, I’m never late.”

He planned to search the living room next. Just as he was about to pull the door open, it wouldn’t budge.

“Did it break?” He tried the handle a few more times, but the door still wouldn’t open.

It was locked from the outside.

Sui Yuye paused for two seconds, then let out an exasperated laugh. “That little brat…” He dialed Qi Shengxian’s number.

Thud!!

A dull thud echoed as a man collapsed to the ground.

Qi Shengxian casually shook his wrist, the small hammer in his hand swaying. The flickering lights in the basement cast intermittent shadows. He lowered his eyes, his bangs casting a shadow that made his light-colored eyelashes even more striking.

“How many is this now? Has she still not given up?” He looked up at the person behind him.

The butler pleaded earnestly, “Young Master Shengqian, it’s not fitting for you to stay here. Besides, Madam only hopes you’ll come home to see her.”

“Don’t call me that name,” Qi Shengxian said, twirling the hammer’s handle in his fingers. “That name belongs to your family’s young master, doesn’t it?”

The hammer was small and seemingly harmless, but in his hands, it looked more like a murder weapon—the kind that could draw blood in an instant.

The phone rang.

The butler watched as Qi Shengxian picked up the phone, his gloomy and cold aura vanishing instantly. His voice even warmed as he answered, “Brother?”

“Brother, my birth mother wants me to go back.”

Sui Yuye’s angry words caught in his throat.

“Brother, what should I do?”

Sui Yuye snorted. “They’re probably trying to use you. Think about it—they haven’t contacted you all these years. They must have heard you’re doing well and want to use you as a cash cow. Besides, they never treated you well back then, right?”

Qi Shengxian glanced sideways. “Did you hear that? My brother told me not to go. He says you’re trying to trick me.”

The butler was at a loss for words.

Sui Yuye finally remembered the main issue and yelled into the phone, “Qi Shengxian! Get your ass back here and open this door! You have five minutes! One second late and you’ll be kneeling on the keyboard!!”

“I’ll be right back.” Qi Shengxian responded, then hung up and gave the butler a gentle smile: “My brother is urging me to go back.”

“Young Master Shengqian…”

“If I’m late, he’ll get angry. My brother hits pretty hard.”

Before leaving, Qi Shengxian took the coat that didn’t belong to Sui Yuye, glanced at it indifferently, and threw it into the trash along with the hammer.

Exactly five minutes later, Qi Shengxian pushed the door open, actually carrying a bottle of vinegar in his hand.

“What’s wrong with the door? Couldn’t open it?” he asked.

Sui Yuye crossed his arms: “Keep pretending, go on.”

Qi Shengxian placed the vinegar on the table, walked over, and suddenly hugged him, burying his head in the crook of his neck: “Brother, I don’t want to go back.”

“Back where?”

“That home.” Qi Shengxian’s voice was muffled, “You’re my only family.”

Sui Yuye’s raised hand paused, then finally landed on his back, patting him: “Nonsense, who else would you want to go with?”

That night, after Sui Yuye finished showering and got into bed, there was a knock on the door. Qi Shengxian asked: “Brother, can I sleep with you tonight?”

“What’s wrong?”

“I just suddenly really want to be by your side.”

Sui Yuye didn’t refuse, lifting the corner of the blanket beside him and patting it: “Come on up.”

He shifted his body to one side, but as soon as he lay down, he was pulled over by an arm. His view suddenly rose to Qi Shengxian’s chin. Sui Yuye looked up and found himself in the other’s embrace, the warmth of body heat radiating from the encircling arms.

“Wait, this isn’t right, is it?” Sui Yuye tried to pull back but was tugged back again, “Do you have to hug someone to sleep?”

“Is that not allowed? If it was okay when we were kids, why not now?” Qi Shengxian’s voice sounded a bit hurt.

Hearing this, Sui Yuye’s heart softened instantly, and he immediately fell silent.

Forget it, it’s just Qi Shengxian, it doesn’t really matter.

Late at night.

Qi Shengxian opened his eyes. His pupils absorbed the darkness, losing their luster, and his half-lowered eyelashes appeared somewhat cold.

He lifted his arm and glanced at the watch.

A few seconds later, he lowered his gaze, looking at the person already asleep in his arms. He tightened his arms, holding Sui Yuye close, and took a deep breath of his scent. In an instant, his pupils transformed into inhuman vertical pupils.

When will you belong to me?

…

As the saying goes, one shouldn’t speak too confidently. Sui Yuye almost ended up being late—the traffic was completely jammed, and he was so furious he nearly smashed the steering wheel.

If it’s still jammed in the evening, it’ll be a disaster. He still had to go to Venus with Shao Jinghe that night, and that guy hated waiting the most.

When he arrived at the location, the two hadn’t shown up yet. Sui Yuye looked up at the sign.

Elite Training Center.

It seemed these two brothers really were businessmen, coming here for further training?

While pondering, his phone rang. It was Shao Jinghe calling. The first thing he said was: “Don’t come tonight.”

“? Why?”

“Why so many questions? What could possibly happen to me at Venus? You’d just be in my way. I’ll tell my family you came.”

Sui Yuye was about to say, “What if something happens to you?” when he suddenly noticed many people’s gazes turning toward him. He looked back and saw a low-key Maybach appearing under everyone’s watchful eyes.

“Master Fu has instructed that you two must attend class properly and can’t skip anymore,” the driver said as he opened the car door for them.

“Alright, alright, we know,” one of the men replied without looking back, sounding quite dismissive.

“We’ll attend class properly, but only if what’s being taught isn’t nonsense,” the other man’s tone was slightly more polite, but not by much.

The driver had a headache and looked at Sui Yuye, who nodded slightly to indicate he understood.

Fu Zhong, who had gotten out of the car, walked toward him: “Sui Yuye, who were you talking to on the phone?”

“Who is that man speaking on your end?” Shao Jinghe’s voice was clearly displeased: “Who are you with right now?”

“I’m working. I’ll be at your place on time tonight. That’s it, I’m hanging up.” Sui Yuye decisively ended the call without further explanation.

Seeing the twins approach him, Sui Yuye couldn’t help but whistle inwardly. These two were truly good-looking—the kind of faces that could be pulled straight into the entertainment industry and win over a crowd of fans based on looks alone. And both of them were Rom.

Sui Yuye smiled and waved: “Good morning.”

Fu E sighed helplessly: “Our regular bodyguard took the day off today, so we had to trouble you again.”

Fu Zhong pouted and complained: “Today might be a bit boring. No playing around—we still have to attend that management course. It’s so simple it’s a waste of time.”

Sui Yuye recalled his previous experiences as their bodyguard. It was purely just playing around—they never treated him as a bodyguard but rather as a playmate.

Rather than grown men, Sui Yuye felt they were more like two innocent, carefree boys.

He followed behind them into the training center.

The moment he stepped into the lobby, Sui Yuye keenly sensed something off about the gazes directed their way.

The noisy lobby fell silent for several seconds.
