The trainees stared at these two brothers from the Fu Family, not so much because of their faces, but with a mix of vigilance and fear, as if they had seen some kind of fierce demons.

Hmm?

Sui Yuye raised an eyebrow slightly.Full novel: After Redeeming the Madmen, I Became Prey — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The two walking ahead turned back. Fu E asked, “Why are you so far behind us?”

“In crowded places like this, it’s more appropriate for me to follow behind you. After all, my main job is to protect you.”

“Is that so?”

All the way, even after entering the classroom, everyone’s gazes were exactly the same.

Sui Yuye asked, “Have you two had breakfast?”

Both shook their heads.

Sui Yuye glanced at the time on his phone. “What time does your class start? I’ll go buy something for you first. What do you want to eat?”

Fu Zhong: “No need. We don’t like eating breakfast.”

“That won’t do. You’ll get stomach problems. Is there a breakfast shop nearby? I saw one when I drove over.”

Unable to argue with him, the two reluctantly told him what they wanted to eat.

Watching Sui Yuye leave, Fu E and Fu Zhong’s expressions changed. They glanced indifferently at the other trainees around them, who immediately averted their eyes.

As Sui Yuye went downstairs, a wave of whispers drifted into his ears.

“Did you see? Those two are here again. They actually dare to come.”

“Why wouldn’t they dare? Don’t people in the underworld walk around like they own the place? Haven’t you seen they always bring bodyguards with them?”

Sui Yuye paused for a moment, then continued walking.

What era is this? Where is there any underworld? This isn’t a novel.

“I heard they’re the sons of murderers. Their parents have who knows how much blood on their hands. Raised in a family like that, they must have killed people too.”

“Exactly. How can people like that still live peacefully in this world? They don’t deserve to be human.”

“I think people like them, who don’t accumulate virtue, will definitely be reborn as animals in their next life.”

A voice suddenly rang out: “Who told you all this?”

The gossiping group was startled and looked at Sui Yuye.

“Bang!!”

A slovenly man leaning against the railing had his head slammed hard against the wall, the cigarette in his mouth falling to the ground. Sui Yuye’s voice was icy cold: “Spreading rumors doesn’t cost anything, does it?”

“You motherf—”

“Do you have any proof?”

“What proof do I need? Just look at their entourage—it’s obviously not legit—”

“Kneel.”

The man uncontrollably dropped to his knees with a thud.

Sui Yuye: “Crawl.”

The man crawled over on his hands and knees. Sui Yuye raised his foot and stepped on his shoulder, resting his arm on his knee, his tone casual: “If you still don’t provide proof, I’ll give the order for you to strip naked and run two laps around the training center.”

“I—I don’t know. I just saw them arriving in luxury cars every time, always with bodyguards, so… I just guessed.”

Sui Yuye kicked him hard in the face, and the man’s cheek instantly swelled red.

No wonder Fu E and Fu Zhong were treated with such looks. What difference was this from invisible bullying?

At that moment, around a corner, two men stood quietly, watching.

“What I hate most are scum like you who slander and spread rumors everywhere, jealous of others and unable to bear seeing them do well.” Sui Yuye sneered coldly:

“Even if they are in the underworld, what does it have to do with you? Have you ever considered whether being in the underworld is what they wanted? Did they choose to be born into such a background?”

Fu E and Fu Zhong’s expressions froze instantly.

They parted their lips slightly, lowered their eyes, and remained silent.

Sui Yuye went out to buy breakfast after beating someone up.

On his way back, his expression suddenly changed, and he rushed through the door. The scene before him was exactly the same as the one he had foreseen.

Two people lay motionless on the table.

He ran over and called their names, but there was no response.

Sui Yuye instantly blamed himself. He shouldn’t have relied too much on his precognitive ability. No matter how fast he hurried, he couldn’t have made it back in time after being away for so long.

He took out his phone and frantically dialed for an ambulance when a slightly cold hand suddenly covered the back of his hand. Sui Yuye froze.

Fu E: “…Low blood sugar.”

Sui Yuye: “…”

He inserted straws into two chocolate milk cartons and fed them to the two. After a while, their complexions visibly recovered.

“You have low blood sugar and still skip breakfast? Why can’t you take better care of yourselves?” Sui Yuye couldn’t help but scold them.

Fu E lowered his head and asked softly, “Um, did you also hear those things?”

Fu Zhong nervously probed, “What about you? You don’t really think we’re the kind of people they say we are, do you?”

They watched Sui Yuye’s expression, expecting silence or hesitation, but he simply shook his head gently.

Sui Yuye offered a reassuring smile. “You don’t need to explain. I’ll always take your side.”

Fu E and Fu Zhong froze, their ears rapidly turning red.

When class started, Sui Yuye leaned against the corridor, watching them from outside the window.

Even the way they rested their chins in their hands was synchronized. Sunlight filtered through their eyelashes, making them look vibrant and lovely. As if noticing his gaze, Fu Zhong and Fu E turned slightly and smiled at Sui Yuye.

The teacher cleared his throat to remind them, “Fu E, Fu Zhong.”

Sui Yuye knew they weren’t paying attention. He was about to mouth for them to focus when his phone vibrated in his pocket.

Fu Zhong glanced out the window again and nudged his brother beside him. “Who is Sui Yuye talking to on the phone? He looks so happy.”

Fu E looked over. “Is it the person who called this morning?”

“Doesn’t seem like it. He didn’t have this expression back then.”

“I’ll be back very late tonight. Go to bed early and don’t stay up,” Sui Yuye instructed Qi Shengxian before hanging up.

After class ended, Fu E and Fu Zhong said they needed to use the restroom and asked him to wait.

Sui Yuye insisted on accompanying them, but they repeatedly refused. He finally relented, saying, “Fine, I’ll wait three minutes. If I don’t see you by then, I’ll come find you.”

Fu Zhong: “Mm-hmm.”

As they turned around, their expressions changed.

On the rooftop, a man smoking saw the two and trembled, his cigarette dropping from his hand. His body shook like a sieve as he immediately knelt and raised his hands.

Fu E aimed a gun at him with one hand.

Fu Zhong, hands in his pockets, kicked the man to the ground expressionlessly and stepped on his chest.

The man flailed his limbs on the ground, staring in terror at the gun in Fu E’s hand. “Don’t, don’t…”

“Haha, don’t dodge. How am I supposed to aim like this?” Fu E suddenly grinned, leisurely brushing aside half of his bangs.

Fu E’s features were inherently aggressive, but with his bangs covering them, he appeared gentle and steady—the calm, composed older brother. Yet now, he wore a delighted smile as he aimed the gun at the man’s leg.

Meanwhile, Fu Zhong, the cheerful and sunny younger brother, showed no expression on his face. His eyes were devoid of emotion, chillingly cold. He tilted his head as if looking at a dead man.

No longer pretending, they revealed their true selves.

The true personalities of the underworld twins are actually the opposite.

Fu E slowly lowered the gun muzzle, aiming at the trembling thigh. “Why are you shaking? So scared?”

Fu Zhong: “Stay.”

The man desperately begged for mercy: “I’ll explain everything to everyone! I made it all up! I have a foul mouth! I promise I’ll never talk nonsense again!”

Fu E smiled brightly. “But you guessed right, so it’s not exactly a rumor. Anyway, dealing with one more person like you doesn’t matter.”

Fu Zhong bent down and directly broke the man’s arm. “It just so happens we’re in a bad mood right now.”

Sui Yuye still went upstairs to look and saw two figures coming down.

At first glance, he thought it was Fu E and Fu Zhong, but it wasn’t.

It was another pair of twins.

He had seen them in the elevator before.

Seeing twins outside isn’t actually unusual; what’s unusual is that their looks are as striking as Fu E and Fu Zhong’s, and their presence is even stronger.

That pair of twins passed by him. Just as Sui Yuye finished climbing the stairs, his eyes were suddenly covered, and his waist was encircled from behind. A low voice whispered in his ear.

“Guess if I’m Fu E or Fu Zhong?”
