Yan Yang stuttered for the first time in her life. "You… aren't you supposed to… supposed to be trading stocks…"

"Who told you I was going to trade stocks, hmm?"

Feng Sixi tilted his head slightly and smiled.Full novel: After Saving the Yandere Villain, I Crashed and Burned — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

When a smile broke across his cold, sharp features, every line of his brows and eyes radiated seductive charm—yet those bottomless, glacial eyes sent a chill racing from the soles of one's feet straight to the crown of the head.

Feng Sixi's question was pregnant with meaning. He said, "Yan Yang, where did you learn all of this? The details you know are far more than I ever imagined."

Yan Yang barely steadied herself and came up with an excuse in the shortest possible time.

She knew he had seen through her.

That little performance just now had been deliberately staged for her benefit—he had noticed something off about her and had deliberately laid a trap.

Clearly, one could only understand just how dangerous this man was by coming into direct contact with him. No wonder those transmigrators in the past had all been swiftly destroyed by him within a short span of time.

One slight misstep, and she would leak her secrets right in front of him.

"Wasn't it your previous business partner who sold off all your stocks, leaving you drowning in debt… and he even snatched your company while he was at it?"

Yan Yang quickly regained her composure and answered at her own pace.

Feng Sixi let out a short laugh. "But I've never told anyone about those matters. You know far too much."

"I'm sorry. I did investigate you—and for a very long time. I looked into everything I should have and everything I shouldn't have."

Yan Yang immediately placed both hands on her thighs, straightened her back, sat up properly, and apologized with utmost sincerity: "I promise I won't do it again. But back then, I genuinely wanted to understand you."

She was counting on the fact that no matter how suspicious Feng Sixi might be, he could never guess the true reason she knew so much—which was why she dared to stick to her story.

"Is that so?"

Feng Sixi's expression gave no indication of whether he believed her or not, but he suddenly dropped the matter and turned back to continue his crypto-mining venture.

Yan Yang watched from the side, utterly dumbfounded and heart-stopping.

This villain's skills… were absolutely extraordinary.

By the current standard technology, mining Bitcoin required using a computer's powerful CPU capabilities to search the network for that encrypted cryptocurrency.

Normally, the general public used specialized software to search for it—but Feng Sixi wasn't using the conventional method at all.

Yan Yang had already figured out what approach he was using. Feng Sixi hadn't employed any off-the-shelf software, but rather… his own self-developed hash function algorithm software.

In the Bitcoin protocol, the hash function was part of the block hashing algorithm. Feng Sixi was using a more advanced algorithm to locate Bitcoin across the internet.

What might take others ten days, half a month, or even years to find—a single cryptocurrency worth tens of thousands of dollars—Feng Sixi found two of them in the few minutes she watched him work.

In other words, in that short span of time, Feng Sixi had gone from a pitiful man drowning in massive debt to rapidly accumulating capital.

At this rate, what would happen next?

Within two days at most, he'd pay off every single debt—and even have the financial power to build an army and develop terrifying technology.

No.

She needed to start stirring up trouble.

While Feng Sixi was fully absorbed in his mining operation, Yan Yang silently rose and left the living room.

A few minutes later, the power in the room went out.

The internet went down with it as well.

Yan Yang's startled cry came from outside the door: "Oh no, why did our fuse blow?!"

A glint of amusement flickered through Feng Sixi's eyes.

Right after, Yan Yang ran in, looking utterly innocent as she said, "Mr. Feng, our circuit breaker is broken and the fuse is blown, so it looks like we won't have electricity or internet today…"

"That's fine." Feng Sixi closed his laptop. "I'll go find an internet café outside."

Yan Yang immediately lunged over and wrapped her arms around him: "No! You can't leave!"

Feeling the soft touch of her body pressing close once again, Feng Sixi asked calmly, "Why not?"

Looking up at him, Yan Yang pouted: "I'm scared if you leave."

Even her act was so vivid and charming. Feng Sixi paused for a moment before asking, "Scared of what?"

"Scared that… what if Feng Lidong comes back to seek vengeance? And what if your enemies also show up at our door? I'm all alone, and still injured—how dangerous would that be?"

Her tone turned pleading: "So you can't go anywhere. Just stay home and keep me company, okay?"

Feng Sixi knew Yan Yang was doing this deliberately, and he could see what she was trying to do. But for some reason, he didn't want to call her out. Instead, he felt like playing along, curious to see what other acts she could put on.

Perhaps it was because of those shimmering eyes of hers—too radiant and dazzling.

"Fine, I won't leave."

After all, there were plenty of ways to make money; he wasn't in a hurry.

Yan Yang, meanwhile, curved the corner of her lips at an angle Feng Sixi couldn't see.

She was certain Feng Sixi could see through her little tricks, yet she deliberately let herself be seen through.

In certain situations, the more loopholes she exposed, the more she would attract his attention. Once Feng Sixi grew eager to uncover more secrets and truths, she could easily manipulate him.

Both of them harbored different thoughts, each scheming in their own way. But who would ultimately win and who would lose had yet to be decided.

…

Dinner was also takeout. After eating by candlelight, Yan Yang said to him with deep meaning, "Mr. Feng, you should go to bed early and enjoy the softness of your new mattress."

Feng Sixi gave her a long, searching look before turning and heading back to his room.

Yan Yang then slipped into her own master bedroom, used the laptop's remaining battery to connect to her phone's hotspot, and devised a new hash function algorithm.

From now on, it wouldn't just be the stocks and futures Feng Sixi had his eye on—Yan Yang planned to add cryptocurrency and similar things to her blacklist as well.

Once the new algorithm was in place, no matter how much cryptocurrency Feng Sixi managed to successfully mine, Yan Yang could snatch it away in the first instant, denying him any chance of a successful trade.

It was all thanks to the advantage of advanced technology—after all, the technological level of the Central Star System where Yan Yang came from was far superior to that of this remote planet by countless degrees. A cryptocurrency trading algorithm was hardly a challenge.

Just as the battery ran out, Yan Yang's new algorithm had successfully come to life.

She hurried to the electrical box by the door to restore power to the house, then went to the bathroom, and finally returned to knock on Feng Sixi's door.

"Mr. Feng, are you asleep?"

Feng Sixi opened the door. The moment he took in Yan Yang's appearance at that very moment, his long, slender fingers resting on the door handle tightened abruptly.

A black silk camisole nightgown with a deep V-neckline, trimmed with lace at the chest, paired with Yan Yang's long black wavy hair swept to one side—she looked voluptuous and alluring, both bewitching and ravishing.

Under the light, her skin was as white as translucent mutton-fat jade, her liquid gaze brimming with tender affection.

Feng Sixi slowly narrowed his eyes.

He suddenly recalled certain descriptions from tales of gods and ghosts.

Even the most seductive of spirits could not compare.
