Thinking that she might one day have to survive in the wilderness, Chen Yuan made another trip—this time to an outdoor equipment wholesaler.

She bought one hundred climbing ropes each in 10-meter, 50-meter, and 100-meter lengths; fifty folding ladders; one hundred flashlights and one hundred searchlights; ten thousand windproof lighters; fifty windproof, waterproof tents; ten thousand moisture-proof sleeping mats; fifty sleeping bags rated for -30°C and another fifty rated for -50°C; one hundred entrenching shovels; one hundred folding outdoor knives, Swiss Army knives, and multi-purpose pocket knives; one hundred wood-burning stoves, alcohol stoves, and gas stoves; and one hundred sets of wind-resistant camping cookware.

She also bought twenty thousand gas canisters, five thousand 5-kilogram gas cylinders, five thousand 10-kilogram gas cylinders, and one thousand gas cooktops.Full novel: After the Apocalypse: Surviving an Ancient World of Calamities — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

For drinking water, she purchased ten thousand 17-liter bottles of bottled water, ten thousand cases of mineral water with twenty-four bottles per case, and another ten thousand cases of soft drinks and other beverages.

She stocked up on a full ton each of her favorite fruits—grapes, cherries, and watermelon—and another 2,000 jin each of Hami melons, apples, pears, and other fruits.

She also bought 2,000 jin each of tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, green beans, potatoes, pumpkins, winter melons, zucchini, Chinese cabbage, radishes, spinach, lettuce, Chinese chives, green peppers, red peppers, and many other vegetables.

Afterward, Chen Yuan visited a seed supplier.

Whether she liked eating them or not, she bought 1,000 jin of every type of vegetable seed available, along with 1,000 jin of every major grain seed. She also purchased 1,000 fruit tree saplings of various varieties.

Chen Yuan had no idea whether she was destined to transmigrate or face another apocalypse.

So if she could think of it…

She bought it.

With most of the essential supplies already stockpiled, she decided to travel around the country and collect local specialties from every region.

In the Northeast, she stocked up on 500 jin each of ginseng, deer antler, hazelnuts, pine nuts, and walnuts, along with 500 mink pelts. She also bought 500 boxed meals, 5,000 meat buns, 5,000 steamed buns, and 100 cases of Harbin sausages.

In Meng Province, she purchased 500 cases each of cheese, milk tablets, and milk tofu, along with 1,000 cases each of fresh milk and yogurt. She also bought generous quantities of beef jerky, whole roasted lambs, and roasted lamb legs.

More importantly, she bought livestock.

Two rams and six ewes.

Two breeding bulls and six cows.

Two dairy bulls and six dairy cows.

Two boars and six sows.

She released them onto the grasslands inside her storage space.

That way, she would have an endless supply of meat in the future.

In Wei Province, she purchased 1,000 jin of red dates, 10,000 jin of cotton, and 1,000 jin each of Hami melons, grapes, watermelons, and Korla fragrant pears. She also bought 1,000 cases of fresh milk, 1,000 baked buns, 100 servings of hand-grabbed rice, 500 servings of lamb skewers, 500 servings of Big Plate Chicken, and 500 servings of stir-fried rice noodles.

In Yue Province, she bought 500 servings of every kind of morning tea delicacy, 1,000 clay pot rice meals, 1,000 assorted breads and pastries, and 500 cakes.

She also purchased crabs, prawns, crayfish, oysters, and all kinds of fish, releasing them into the ocean inside her storage space to breed naturally.

In Chuan Province, she bought 50,000 packets of hot pot soup base, 10,000 bags each of hot pot meatballs, beef tripe, and honeycomb tripe, along with 100 servings each of máocài, Mao Xue Wang, and assorted pickled vegetables.

In Shan Province, she purchased 5,000 Chinese hamburgers, 1,000 meat buns, 500 each of fried pancakes, meat pies, and vegetable pies, 100 bowls each of lamb noodles, beef noodles, and lamb soup with torn flatbread, plus 500 bowls of oil-splashed noodles.

Time flew by as she tirelessly continued buying supplies.

More than half a year had passed.

By now, she had gathered almost everything she could think of.

She had just over fifty million yuan left, and she planned to spend it all on furnishing the storage space itself.

She returned to her home in the capital.

It was the only piece of real estate she had kept.

After all, if she never transmigrated, she would still need somewhere to live.

After moving all of the unnecessary furniture into the warehouse inside her storage space, Chen Yuan began buying everything the space itself would need.

For the kitchen, she purchased one hundred sets each of refrigerators, ice makers, ovens, microwave ovens, induction cooktops, bread makers, soy milk machines, dishwashers, range hoods, electric griddles, electric pressure cookers, and air fryers.

One complete set was installed in the kitchen, while the rest went into storage.

She also bought ten woks, ten steamers, and ten stockpots, along with one hundred complete sets of bowls, chopsticks, ladles, basins, plates, spoons, knives, and forks.

For the bathroom, she purchased one hundred sets each of bathroom heaters, water heaters, shower systems, bathtubs, toilets, vanities, utility sinks, washing machines, and clothes dryers.

Again, she installed one complete set and stored the remaining ninety-nine.

Next came the second-floor living room.

She furnished it with sofas, coffee tables, a water dispenser, a television, a projector, a projection screen, and a tea bar.

In the bedroom, she installed a large Simmons mattress bed, bedside tables, a dressing table, and every other piece of furniture she considered useful.

Finally, using nothing more than a thought, Chen Yuan planted the fields inside her storage space with the vegetables and fruits she ate most often.

She also planted many of her favorite flowers and ornamental plants.

Then she fenced off a section beside the grasslands specifically for raising chickens, ducks, and geese.

At long last…

The storage space finally felt like home.
