CEO’s Little Wife 3
When Shen Yan was silent, Qiao Yu was also observing him. As the male lead of this world, Shen Yan was indeed exceptionally gifted.
Compared to Qiao Yu’s height of a little over 1.7 meters, Shen Yan was at least 1.9 meters by mere estimation, with broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and long arms and legs.
When Shen Yan didn’t smile, his cold and stern face was very imposing. When his dark eyes fell on a person, it always gave the illusion of being stared at by a wild beast.
Deep brows and eyes, delicate features, a smooth jawline in profile… a suit-wearing thug with coldness and a hint of ferocity.
So good-looking, and he could thoughtfully ask about his ears, and gently pave the way before the divorce. No wonder the original host fell in love at first sight with him.
But Qiao Yu was not the original host. He didn’t have such a deep obsession with Shen Yan, nor was he a person of this world. His only thought was to lie back and comfortably coast through the plot.
If Shen Yan wanted to divorce him, then divorce. If he didn’t like him, then fine. As long as he didn’t hit him.
If Shen Yan insisted on hitting him…
Then hit him, then.
“Mr. Shen, is there something you need?”
Qiao Yu felt he was being considerate, even giving Shen Yan an opportunity to say it naturally, so he wouldn’t have to hold back out of embarrassment.
He was even prepared for Shen Yan to throw the divorce papers in front of him. He definitely didn’t have the strength to quarrel with Shen Yan at the top of his lungs, so Qiao Yu decided to just put up a symbolic protest and then agree.
Because he really wanted to sleep.
“We’re married.”
Shen Yan stopped there. Qiao Yu seemed to nod in full agreement, waiting for him to continue.
And then, nothing.
Qiao Yu: ?
Wait, we’re married, then what?
Meeting the youth’s confused little gaze, Shen Yan slowly unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt and walked from the chair to the bedside.
“I’m sleeping with my wife. Is that not allowed?”
Is that something you can say?
Qiao Yu blinked, not understanding what the situation was, but his brain, which seldom operated, obviously couldn’t figure it out. He could only watch as Shen Yan unbuttoned all the buttons on his shirt, and then…
Left.
01: ?
Qiao Yu: ?
Is this guy crazy?
Shen Yan oddly unbuttoned all the buttons on his shirt right in front of Qiao Yu, then turned around and went to shower in the bathroom. Qiao Yu didn’t get it. He wasn’t taking it off; couldn’t he just undo them in the bathroom?
“Did I finish the wedding night plot?”
01 was a little dramatic, but still responded with a sound of agreement.
After hearing that, Qiao Yu closed his eyes, dropped his head into the pillow, and fell asleep again. Amid the sound of running water, within no more than three minutes, Qiao Yu’s breathing evened out as he slept.
His main trait was being able to sleep.
By the time Shen Yan finished washing and came out, the person was already sleeping so soundly that he couldn’t have been any deeper asleep. Even the series of disturbances… Shen Yan walking over, lifting the blanket, and lying down… didn’t make Qiao Yu’s eyelashes flutter at all.
He was sleeping quite sweetly.
Shen Yan extended a hand and gently touched Qiao Yu’s calm brows and eyes, then sighed helplessly and pulled him into his arms.
Although Qiao Yu looked thin, his body was soft. When held in his arms, a sweet and rich gardenia scent naturally drifted into Shen Yan’s nose.
Qiao Yu’s frame was small, and Shen Yan’s arms were long. When holding him sideways, Qiao Yu fit perfectly into his chest, a very good fit.
For many years in the past, Shen Yan had slept alone. He didn’t have any serious cleanliness obsession, nor did he have the habit of not being able to sleep with others.
But for the two of them, they were truly two strangers meeting for the first time. Logically, Shen Yan should have been uncomfortable, but surprisingly, he wasn’t.
A dreamless night. Shen Yan slept holding Qiao Yu until broad daylight. It wasn’t until the sun had fully risen that he finally woke up groggily. Reaching out to take his wristwatch from the bedside, Shen Yan was surprised to find that he had slept a bit longer than usual.
The hands on the watch were steadily at five past eight. For Shen Yan, this was almost the latest he had woken up in a long time.
Shen Yan was a very self-disciplined person. He had long maintained a state of not needing much sleep. Even if he had class until eleven or twelve at night, he could still wake up at five or six the next morning, eat breakfast, go to the gym, and arrive at the company on time by eight o’clock.
But today, he had obviously woken up late.
He looked down at the fuzzy sensation in his arms. Qiao Yu clearly hadn’t slept enough, constantly sticking and nuzzling into his embrace, as if craving the warmth of his broad chest.
Could someone really sleep that much?
“Like a little pig.”
Shen Yan moved slightly. He thought he was pulling Qiao Yu out of his arms with a reluctant and difficult posture, but Qiao Yu, for some reason, was very unwilling to leave his embrace. When he pushed him out a bit, Qiao Yu would move closer a bit.
…
A bit tricky.
But in reality, the movements of his hands were gentle even he himself didn’t notice. Even though he was still saying in his heart that Qiao Yu was like a little pig, his hands showed no intention of waking him up.
Saying one thing and meaning the opposite was clearly displayed by him.
By the time Shen Yan had washed up, dressed, and gone downstairs, the clock had steadily stopped at half past eight.
In the living room, Aunt Zhou was sitting on the sofa, staring intently at a somewhat melodramatic romance drama. Hearing the sound of Shen Yan coming downstairs, she quickly stood up to greet him.
“You’re up.”
Shen Yan looked at her and could clearly see some teasing and joking meaning on her face. Her expression seemed to say, “I knew you would like him.”
Shen Yan avoided her probing gaze, pulled out a chair, sat at the dining table, and coldly instructed, “Call him up to eat.”
Aunt Zhou’s smile couldn’t be hidden anymore. As she walked upstairs, she responded, “Sure.”
Look at that, still remembering that the person hasn’t eaten. Truly, only married men are so considerate.
Shen Yan had no idea that in Aunt Zhou’s heart, he had transformed from the person in power at the top of the food chain into a perfect ten-point husband after marriage. He was still quietly eating.
Shen Yan’s usual eating speed was neither fast nor slow. On a normal day, twenty minutes was definitely enough for him to finish breakfast. But today, his eating speed seemed to have slowed down intentionally or unintentionally.
Until Shen Yan’s bowl of congee was almost empty, and after raising his hand to check his wristwatch for the third time, Shen Yan finally frowned with some dissatisfaction.
And just when Shen Yan was getting impatient and was about to go up and check himself, the sound of someone coming down the stairs finally came. He didn’t turn around, just calmly added another half bowl of congee for himself.
“Oh dear, look how sleepy this child is. Mr. Shen really is something too.”
Aunt Zhou’s words almost made Shen Yan choke on the congee he had just swallowed. He looked somewhat dissatisfied at the two people entering the dining room. He was just about to say that Qiao Yu being sleepy had nothing to do with him, but he stopped short because of the scene he saw the next second.
He wasn’t even wearing shoes.
