My laps are done and I am breathing like someone who escaped death.

I gulp down a water bottle as fast as I can enjoying the rich taste of water. Some of it runs down the side of my lips and wipe it before it creates a trial.

I am sprawled in the ground with no care in the world, as enjoy this little time before I have Beta Aiden dragging me a cross the field and forcing me to train with the others.

“ Reed!” Beta Aiden shouts from where he is standing.

I groan out in frustration.

The last thing I want is to be here.

I take awfully slow to get up to irritate him even further.

He stamps over to where I am and sits on the grass next to me.

I glance over at his side before I look somewhere else to the mountains that surround the pack.

“ I know you don’t want to be here, my brother told me that you wanted me to remove your name from the list but that is never happening.” He speaks to taunt me further.

I don’t turn to look at him, everything spilling out of his mouth is something I don’t want to hear.

I continue to stay quiet, he is the last person I want to talk to.

My mind is still foggy from the events that went down last evening with a certain alpha.

A giggle catches my attention and I look at Lexi who is giggling at something that Kayden must have said.

I feel a pang of jealousy and I try as bad best to ignore it.

If only she knew that I am wearing this turtle to hid his assault on my neck.

“ How do you feel when you see them together?” Aiden asks so causally.

I can feel his eye burning the side of my face as he waits not only to hear my answer but see my reaction too.

I smirk, “nothing.”

He chuckles, “ I don’t know if Kayden told you but you ain’t the best lair.

I can see the way you look at him.”

“How do I look at him?” I can’t help but frown.

“ Like you wanna jump his bones and claim him as yours.” He replies boldly making me choke on the water that was still gulping down.

My reaction spike mischief in his eyes, he got the reaction he was looking for.

I kind of like his answer.

Why do I get this feeling that him and I will get along very well?

“You are highly mistaken Beta Aiden Reed.” I disagree even though every word he spoke was the truth I am not just ready to admit it.

He scoffs and rolls his eyes, “ like I said you ain’t a good lair.”

I can’t help but groan.

He is way more chilled than I thought he would be.

It’s at that moment that decides that I am ready to put the grudge I held against him behind me.

Well, that is until he opens his mouth and says, “ back on the field Lucy.”

His once carefree look gets hard in an instant.

I groan out once more and head to the rest of the group that is fighting in human form.

Aiden is right beside me shouting out orders to the rest of the group.

“ So for you Lucy I have fought you before and this isn’t the group I think you should be training with.

This group is for people who have never dough before and you will get the join a group that is already as skilled as you are if not more.”

I groan once more, something I happen to be doing a lot since I got here this morning.

“ I really don’t want to do this,” I complain.

Aiden gives me a sympathetic look, so fake if you ask me.

“ Suck it up!” He yells right in my face as if yelling would change my mind the very instant.

He leads the way and I follow like a puppy.

As we get closer I realize that it’s the same group Lexi happens to be in.

I don’t know if he’s doing this on purpose or not.

My uncontrollable eyes sweep over to glance at Kayden who has Lexi wrapped up in his arms.

Our eyes meet, green on hazel, his eyes are blazing with an emotion I can’t quite read.

I can’t help but get more drawn to them…to him.

I look away quickly before Lexi can suspect anything.

“ Alpha, I have brought Lucy here I think this is the group she deserves to fight with.”

Kayden nodes, “ I also thought the same, since I am the one overseeing this group you can leave us.”

Kayden gives me a knowing smile that just feels like an evil smirk.

I can even feel him give himself a mental pat on his shoulder for a job well done.

He walks away heading to the other group.

“ I thought Aiden will be the one to train us.” I voice out trying not to sound worried at all.

Deep down I am suffocating, watching Kayden be all lovey-dovey with another she-wolf is too suffocating for me.

This day couldn’t get any worse.

“ I guess you missed out on most of the announcements yesterday Lucy, I wonder where your mind went.” He smirks acting all cocky.

Lexi might think this is just a normal statement but it ain’t far from it.

She chuckles at what he says and I try not to scowl at her.

If only she knew.

Kayden walks away from the both of us as the others soon join us.

I can feel that these training sessions will be filled with drama.

Lexi moves closer to me.

“ I am so happy you get to train together with our group.

At least that way we can be even closer friends.” She speaks cheerfully as she stares ahead, trying not to draw too much attention to us. Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.

I cringe, “ Yeah me too.” I say back.

Kayden begins to give us instructions on how we will be fighting in wolf form today so he can see where we all need to improve.

“ The first two people to duo are Lucy and Lexi.”

He just had to.

What is his game anyways?

Lexi is excited to fight me and I begin to wonder if she knows anything.

“At least I get to fight my new friend.”

At least she ain’t the only one excited about this.

My wolf is practically yelping for joy knowing she will get to fight someone she has held on a grudge against since Kayden made the big announcement.

Of course, she would want that.

‘ Yes I wanna kick her ass and teach her a lesson for thinking she can take my mate.’ She responds and I roll my eyes at her..

I feel a pair of eyes burning through me and I look to find Kayden staring at me.

I bet he saw me roll my eyes and…..

I blush at the thought making my cheeks turn slightly pink.

“ Aww look Kayden I made her blush.” Lexi speaks making the group laugh too.

She is so blind.

The group forms a circle around Lexi and I, as the wait to see a fight they know they will enjoy.

I am seriously curious to watch fight.

Is she a good fighter?

Is that why he chose her?

or maybe there is something else.

Inside the ring both of us shift into our wolves.

Mine is the a pure white and it’s size is slightly larger that most female wolves but smaller than most male wolves.

Lexi’s wolf is a pure dark grey her coat is beautiful, but her wolf is smaller than hers.

Seeing that her wolf is smaller than mine, my wolf feels even more prideful as if to show our mate that he made the wrong choice.

I remind her that I am the one who made the choice for us and she snaps back to me.

It’s very sour topic for her and everyday she keeps begging me to do something to get our mate back.

In this form my wolf and I have one mind, its like our thoughts are synchronised making our other senses even sharper.

We begin to circle Lexi’s wolf as she doesn’t the same too.

Each sizing the other up.

Its like this fight is gonna determine a lot and little by little I begin to realize how Kayden made us fight first and each other on the purpose that bastard.

I am going to slaughter him after this.
