I am the at pole again tied up and it’s sunny today.
It’s been two days now and it hasn’t been easy.
The meal I had with Xavier saved me a great deal of hunger.
But my stomach is making summersaults of its own.
Mara is restless and she keeps pacing around walking as far as the leash can allow.
She doesn’t like being tired down, she would rather be running in the forest.
‘Why is mate doing this to us?’ She asks.
She sounds sad way too sad she can’t comprehend what is happening, why it’s even happening.
‘ It’s not mate it’s Lexi.’
‘No Lucy it’s mate!!
He is the one that put us back here not her.’
She is heartbroken, how do I even explain it to her to make her understand?
She watches everything that happens and to her, it’s Kayden hurting her.
Her restlessness is beginning to make me feel even more stressed than I should be.
But how can you be okey if your other half isn’t?
It breaks me that for the first time I don’t know what to say to calm her down.
It’s the close we have gotten forever.
She always shuts me out and back then I didn’t care if she did or not but now I do cause at the end of the day she is the only one I have.
‘Why did he even bring it back here?’
‘ Our punishment isn’t over.’ That is all I can tell her.
‘ You mean your punishment.
I didn’t know insult mate.’
Of course, she would turn her back on me now.
‘Suck it up bitch, we are going in this together whether you like it or not.’
Mara only whines and it’s cute as Xavier said.
‘I ain’t cute.’ Mara is quick to respond.
I wanna laugh, ‘ stop acting like a tough girl you are still cute.’
‘I am not a girl either.’
I groan which comes out as a growl.
She can be infuriating sometimes.
Speaking of how he brought us back here.

Two days ago
“ Who does Kayden love?” I ask Xavier I am intrigued and curious.
If he was in love with Lexi he would have mentioned her name to Xavier.
It doesn’t make sense that when he comes here all he ever does is complain about me.
Xavier is about to answer when the kitchen door suddenly swings open and Kayden steps in.
It’s dark outside but the rains have stopped.
I was so engrossed in our eating and conversation that I lost track of what is happening around me.
Xavier and I give Kayden an astonished look, just where did he come from?
“ I only love one she-wolf and that is Lexi.” His words and tone don’t match.
It’s like he is trying to convince himself too and just us.
I huff and shoots me a very hard glare it has me shutting up instantly.
“ How come you have never told me about her?” Xavier asks.
His eyebrows are furrowed as he gives Kayden a questioning gaze.
My attention goes back to Kayden and he simply shrugs his hug wide shoulders, “ I thought you knew.” That is his simple answer.
It has my chin dropping to the floor.
It’s like has he an answer for every question?
Xavier is surprised too.
Kayden’s sexy green eyes are on me and the looks he gives me tell me everything no need for him to elaborate.
I say my goodbye to Xavier and follow Kayden who is already out of the door.
His gaze scrutinizes me then he just shrugs and continues to walk.
I wonder what goes through his head.
“ Trust me you don’t want to know.” He answers.
“ Get out of my head Kayden,” I growl in warning.
He laughs, “ how cute.” He mocks me.
His tone is sarcastic and I hate it.
I roll my eyes and as I glare at his back as he walks in front of me.
His back flexes with each step he takes.
He is very sexy and has a body that is fully packed with muscles.
He never looked like this the last time I saw him.
“ How long did you train?” The question slips through my mouth before I can stop it.
“ You never seem to stop talking to do?”
“ I am just curious.”
“ Do you know what curiosity did?” He asks, his voice is low and it sounds dangerous.
It’s a clear sign that he doesn’t want to be having this conservation but when have I ever listened or followed the signs?
“ It killed the cat.” My voice is low.
“ Exactly!”
“ But I am not a cat,” I reply feeling offended.
Heck even more feels offended.
“ Of course you are kitten.” He answers casually.
“ Oh wait you are a flower what type of flower is it again?” He mocks.
I fold my hands over my chest as he chuckles.
I pout even though he isn’t looking at me.
He keeps leading the away.
And I am only graced with his sexy back muscles that I wanna trace with my fingers.
“ You are bad, Alpha.”
I hear another chuckle this time it’s sinister.
“ I never said I was good.” He remarks.
This surely shuts me up.
We keep walking and his muscles keep tempting me.
I raise my hand ready to touch his back through his light black t-shirt.
My hand gets caught right before I can make any contact with his back.
Kayden glares hard at me and I am scared.
He looks murderous, and his eyes change to a completely black color.
I have never seen him this mad before.
All because I wanted to touch.
“ NEVER TOUCH ME!” He growls out and all I can do is not.
“ The last I want is your hands touching any part of my body.” He snarls this time.
I shut up, I love trouble.
His face changes so fast like he wasn’t pissed moments ago.
He gives me a fake smile it doesn’t even reach his eyes.
“ Hope you have understood.”
I nod.
“Words Lucy.”
“ Good.”
He turns back and continues to go.
The forest is quiet at this time of the night so quiet that not even insects can be heard.
It wasn’t like this a few moments ago.
It’s like Kayden not only scared me but those buzzing insects around him too.
“ You know,” he suddenly begins to say, “ when I went to the mountain to train.
I discovered something there.
It’s dark and dangerous, something about myself.
All this power that you feel radiates from me it’s not from my wolf alone.
Something changed those months and I don’t know exactly what it is ye lt but I feel it deep inside me.
I gained a few gifts people say a few people are lucky to have them but I thought it was myths.”
He leaves me confused for a moment and I don’t know where this conversation is going.
“ So what is it about you that changed?”
“ Everything.”
I sigh, I am scared to ask him another question.
The fog has cleared and thanks to my werewolf senses I can see clearly in this dark forest.
The silence stretches as we continue to walk.
“ Why didn’t you send Aiden to come to pick me up?”
My mouth won’t stop running.
He groans, he sounds irritated I doubt he will even answer my question.
But he surprises me when he answers, “ Xavier doesn’t just like anyone visiting him.
Now, will you keep quiet please?”
I shut up instantly.
We finally reach the place where I am to be tied up.
The pack is so quiet we didn’t even meet anyone on their runs.
“ You know the drill.” He says.
“ Turn around.
I don’t want to rip these clothes Xavier won’t be happy if I do so these closes belong to his mate.”
He gives me the are you serious look.
I stand my ground.
He sighs and turns around.
I shift, mara barks at him and he turns around.
He is dazed as he looks at her.
“ Your wolf is nice.” He compliments.
Oh, that only seems to confuse Mara even more.
She barks out once more as she wiggles her tail.
She likes this man standing in front of her.
She sees him to be worthy to be her mate.
He grabs the leash and puts it around her.
Mara’s whole demeanor changes.
She can’t understand why he is suddenly doing this again when he had saved us a few hours ago.
I simply watch and see what she will do.
She growls at him and he growls back only his growl is more powerful and it has her submitting to him even when she doesn’t want to.
He released his power, he was right when he said something about him had changed.
I don’t know if I should be scared or not.
He has finally accomplished his mission and his lips turned up into a proud smile.
“ Stay away from trouble and by trouble, I mean that boyfriend of yours.” He warns as he walks away leaving me confused rather than heart broken all time.
More days have passed this then and he has never showed up.
Well until it’s finally my time to be realised.
