8: CHAPTER 9.
New Luna Lucy
His tall silhouette comes into view and my eyes flicker in his direction.
What was doing here watching me in my personal space?
I couldn’t even be free at this damn pack that no longer felt like home.
He almost says something but hesitates.
I watch him intently peaking from my long lashes.
I only glare at him and before I look away I see his eyes briefly flicker at my exposed thighs.
I let a short laugh, of course, he has to be a perve too.
I do nothing to hide my thighs from him if anything I widen my legs apart just to gauge his reaction.
He shifts uncomfortably where he is standing, my eyes wander too and I can see his bulge growing with each passing second.
I am already growing tired of this staring contest.
I decided to look back at the field and pretend he isn’t there even though every fiber of my being is tense as hell.
I hear him groan, “ what are you doing at my spot?” He suddenly asks.
My head quickly jerks in his direction and I can’t help the glare that is on my face.
“ This is my spot it has always been.” I reply to him.
He simply smirks and I know the next thing he will say won’t be nice at all.
“ Are you sure cause ever since I got here this place has been free and I claimed it as mine, it always the nice place to fuck someone.”
I don’t know if he only said that to taunt me or what but gosh it’s working.
I fist my palms tightly, I can’t help the jealousy or the anger that is coursing through me at the thought of him fucking another girl while my sex life has been let’s say none existent.
I couldn’t even let another man touch me cause every time I did my wolf would go crazy and just a mere touch was always painful.
She simply said it was punishment for rejecting who was made for us.
“ You only thought it was free ‘cause I have been occupied the past week,” I state through gritted teeth when I thought of exactly what had kept me busy.
Crying.
And who was the cause of that?
the very man who stood a few feet from where I was seated.
He smirks, a wide evil grin coating his handsome hot face.
“ I wonder what got you so occupied.” He taunts me.
I turn to glare at him before looking back at the field, the less I looked at him the better.
He sure does look so hot in those cargo shorts and t-shirt that is so tight over his bulging muscles.
With those strong arms, I could imagine all the things they could do to me, dirty and raw.
I swallow hard, what is getting over me I rejected this man years ago.
“ Nothing that concerns you,” I reply after a moment of being quiet.
I feel him take some steps closer till I feel him standing even closer to me.
Just what did he want near me?
“ I am your alpha after all I believe everything that pack members do is my concern.”
I sign, he was like a hard wall.
There is no breaking him, he seems guarded like he didn’t know what to expect from me.
I wonder why?
“ Am sure you are” The sarcasm dripped from my lips.
I hear him growl in response.
The next thing I am grabbed from the ground and forced to a standing position.
He glares hard to me and I can’t help but tense.
His forest green eyes seem to switch between black and green, the inner battle is tense and I can feel it.
“ I am your alpha, Lucy and the last thing I expect from you is disrespect.
I won’t let you disrespect me the way you once did.
I am not that weak man that you once thought I was.
From an omega like you I except better.” He abruptly pushes me away and I stumble a few steps back.
The shock of what just happened didn’t wear off.
I blink a few times out of shock.
He watches me waiting to see what my reaction would be.
“ Understood Alpha Gray.
Am sorry for the disrespect.”
His eyes widen for a split second before they narrow.
I bet he expected me to fight him on this but I wasn’t in the mood.
I was already going through a lot and the fact that he contributed to everything didn’t sit well with me.
“ Good.”
“Alpha!” He stops in his tracks as he is about to walk away from me.
“What!” he replies through gritted teeth.
Whatever crawled up his ass.
I nearly roll my eyes but stop in time.
“ I need permission, I don’t feel like I belong to this pack anymore.
It’s possible to make a transfer so that…..”
“NO!” He cuts me off even before I finish talking.
“But…”
“I SAID NO LUCY, WHAT PART OF NO DON’T YOU GET.”
“ The first part.” The words slip out of my mouth before I could stop them.
He glares at me once more like I wasn’t used to his glares by now.
If looks could kill I would have been six feet under by now.
“ I am not in the mood for your bullshit.”
With that, he walks away leaving me to be alone in the peaceful flower field.
This was my sanctuary after all and knowing that Kayden thought it was his too kinda made my blood boil.
I continue to bask in the feeling of being out the sun shining brightly over my head.
‘Mate hates us’ my wolf spoke to me.
She rarely did anyways.
She always just watched from the sidelines.
‘ we rejected him remember.’ I say to her.
‘ No you did.’ She replies harshly making my head ache.
Such a bitch if you ask me.
This conversation is over.
I had dosed off in the field only to wake up in the evening.
When my stomach kept growling from being too hungry.
I need to leave this place.
I shift back into my sandy brown wolf.
I loved the fur of my wolf, she was so beautiful and sassy.
She had an average size just like most of the she-wolves in the pack.
I watch as my wolf ran back to the pack house I shift back to my human form.
I grab a random t-shirt that was left stashed near the house I wore it and it reached my thighs just like all the other t-shirts.
I got inside the house and mum was dressed in an elegant dress like she was going out for dinner.
I smile when I looked at her.
She looks so pretty in her dress.
“What is the occasion?” I ask
“Oh, you didn’t hear?” I give her a blank stare.
“ we have to go for dinner at the alpha’s house he said everyone had to be there.
He has a big announcement to make.”
I groan the last thing I want to see was that face of his.
“ Is it a must ?” I ask..
“Alpha command Lucy you can’t escape this.”
I groan as I rush to my room to prepare.
I made sure I took a shower before getting dressed in some jean shorts and a t-shirt.
I was more of a shirt and jeans person than anything else.
I made it downstairs in time and mum is still waiting for me while dad and my young brother are nowhere to be seen.
She looks at the outfit I am wearing and gives me a disapproving look.
I look at my clothes and shrug.
“I ain’t changing.” I voice out before she can even say anything.
She simply shakes her head she knows how stubborn I can be something.
She begins to lead the way I follow through.
The pack is nearby and it doesn’t take us long to get there.
It is the perfect place to hold dinner with so many wolves in one place.
I walk in and it doesn’t take time to locate him.
He is sitting at the head of the table waiting for everyone and looking at everyone that comes in though from mums shy reaction I can tell we are late.
As if I care anymore he made me lose something that was a big part of my life and now he keeps mocking me calling me an omega.
I look at him and our eyes meet that only makes my heart beat fast.
Mum suddenly looks at me confused as to why I am suddenly looking flushed.
I look away instantly the last thing I want is mum suspecting anything but mum is very sharp that simple moment must have given me away.
The dinner commences and it’s quite peaceful most of the time.
There is chit-chat around the table and everyone is talking to each other.
I continue to eat quietly till I see something I missed the first time I got here.
That girl that approached me a while back is seated next to Kayden and they seem to have a conversation from the looks of things, it’s like they are both enjoying how things are going.
I glare at them before I look away.
The jealousy is killing me.
I know it but I am too prideful to admit that I made the biggest mistake to reject Kayden.
Like last time he whispers something in her ear making her laugh once more.
“ You see it too don’t you?” A male voice from my other side destructs my line of sight.
I look at him and I can’t help but notice that he is drool worthy.
He is very hot.
“ I don’t know what you mean.” I know exactly what he meant.
But I don’t want mum knowing that I have gawking at Kayden and Lexi the entire dinner time.
The guy only hums in response not pushing it.
Suddenly Kayden stands up.
“ i am glad you all came I asked for this dinner cause I wanted to make an important announcement.
As you most of you know I once found my mate but she rejected me.” He eyes flicked to me for a second before they fell back on Lexi.
“ The announcement I want to make is that I will be taking Lexi as my mate and soon I will declare her your new Luna so give her the respect she deserves.”
I can feel my heart drop.
