Kyrian didn’t even wait a single moment, he grabbed the car keys off the table and rushed out the door.

“Wait, where are you going?” Rick called after him.

“To find her!” He said simply, hurrying his steps.Full novel: Alpha’s Regret: Rise Of The Ugly Luna — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“You know she hasn’t been anywhere to be found for months now.

Luna Avielle is long gone.” “I know.” Kyrian himself had searched Obsidian pack inside out, she was gone.

He had repeatedly questioned guards at the borders but none of them had any records of Avielle leaving the pack.

Kyrian had even called her home, Red-Moon pack, Claire’s father the current alpha had repeatedly assured him that she hadn’t returned there.

He had no idea in the world where Avielle currently was.

“If you don’t know where she is then where the hell are we going?” Rick asked as he entered the car hurriedly seeing that Kyrian was about to drive off without waiting for him.

“There’s someone who must definitely know where she is.” At first Rick had no idea who Kyrian was talking about until they stopped several minutes later in an apartment complex.

Understanding dawned on him and he proceeded in front of Kyrian to Nelly’s apartment, ringing the doorbell.

She gave Rick a sour look the moment she opened the door, “What the hell are you doing here?” Rick pushed past her and walked right into her home like he belonged there without an answer.

Kyrian followed right after.

Nelly glared at Rick, but since Kyrian was with him, she couldn’t complain, he was the alpha after all.

“Do I have to offer you a seat and snacks or will you take that too just like you barged into my home?” Nelly quipped at Rick, her arms folded on her chest.

Rick made himself comfortable on her plush loveseat as if he owned it with a taunting smirk on his face.

Kyrian shook his head at Rick’s childishness.

The idiot didn’t seem to plan on letting go of their past grudge so easily.

Nellisa had been Rick’s childhood bully, one day he grew up, taller and stronger and the tables turned.

He never missed a day to taunt Nellisa, but their little spat wasn’t the reason he was here.

“Miss Edwards, where is Avielle?” Nelly’s eyes turned to the alpha, momentarily startled before she composed her expression.

“I don’t know where she is.” “Don’t lie to me Nellisa, if anyone knows where Elle is it has to be you.” “Avie left because she’s finally done with this pack, and she’s smart enough not to tell anyone where she’s going because she doesn’t want the past searching for her.

And that past mind you is a man who tossed her out just to be with his other woman.” “Watch your mouth Nelly, you’re talking to your alpha.” Rick cut in seriously.

He might be playful sometimes but he never played with his job as the alpha’s second in command.

“Oh I’m sorry, did I offend the alpha?” She chipped unbothered.

“Look, I just need to find Elle.” “Why?” Nelly asked steadily.

“She’s carrying my child.” Nellisa froze, “How did you…?” “It doesn’t matter how I know, I just need to see her.

Where is she.” Nelly didn’t say anything, looking to be contemplating something.

“The man asked you a question Nelly.” Rick chimed when she’d been silent for a while.

“Stay out of it Rick, this is none of your concern.

And I already said I don’t know where she is.” “You don’t really think we’re going to believe that right, you’re her best friend.

Kyrian has a right to know, he’s her husband!” “He’s not her husband anymore he divorced her!” “Stop it you two!” Kyrian roared angrily, unable to take their back and forth anymore.

Nelly remained glaring at Rick furiously, “Ugh, I can’t stand you.” “The feelings mutual baby, I can’t stand you either.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, just answer the damn question or things are not going to look so pretty for you.” “Are you threatening me?” “He just wants an answer Nelly.” Rick urged, earning himself another brutal glare.

“Alright Alpha, you’re here questioning me about your ex wife now when it’s too late.

What type of answer did you expect to hear, that she’s out there carrying your precious alpha heirs?” Nelly had been affording Kyrian the respect she was obligated to show to an alpha, but the whole thing was now getting her all pissed.

“I’m sorry to disappoint you, but she’s no longer carrying your pups.” “What?” “You heard me, she was pregnant and it was high risk and it would have put her in danger.

You wouldn’t expect her to choose to keep the babies of a man who abandoned her killing herself in the process right?” Kyrian felt something twist deep in his stomach.

“You mean she got rid of the pregnancy?” Nelly rolled her eyes, an action of disrespect Kyrian had no choice but to overlook right now because he was desperate for answers.

Claire pushed the door open right at this moment, ignoring everyone else in the space and not caring that she had just barged into someone’s apartment.

“What the hell is she doing here?” Nelly turned a furious glare to Rick who shrugged.

Kyrian was still surprised at how fast her legs were healing ever since Avielle left that so quickly she no longer needed the crutches.

But the first time he’d seen her in that state, the doctors had told him she’d suffered severe damages that could get worse over time, instead of crutches she might need wheelchairs soon so this development was truly astonishing.

Though he asked how she was suddenly healing so fast, she would only shrug and say it was her own luck.

Now she strutted to his side and hugged him.

“What are you doing here Claire?” He asked with a frustrated sigh.

“I saw you drive off so fast and I thought something was wrong so I followed you.

What are you doing in this rat’s nest?” She cooed coquettishly.

“Nobody invited you to my home, in fact you’re not welcome here.

Get out!” Nelly yelled pointing to the door.

“Nelly.” Rick called shaking his head at her as a warning.

Being the alpha’s woman Claire could go wherever she wanted.

Rick didn’t want Nelly attracting Kyrian’s displeasure if she went head to head with Claire right now which was definitely going to happen and the one who would suffer from it would be Nelly herself.

Nelly suppressed her anger deciding she didn’t want any of them in her home anymore, so she faced Kyrian to give him the damn answer he wanted so they could all leave.

“If you think Avielle would get rid of her pregnancy to save her own skin then you surely don’t know her, just like you’d believe any lies anyone tells you about her because you have no idea who she is.” Nelly gritted looking straight at Claire.

“Wait, Avielle was pregnant?” Claire asked looking shocked.

“Nellisa, what happened to my children?” Kyrian queried, not caring about anything else in this moment.

Not the woman clinging to him or the tension in the room.

“Your rejection killed them alpha.” Nelly spat the words bitterly.

Kyrian’s head jolted up sharply, the words sunk in painfully, confusion and disbelief in his eyes.

“I…I killed them?” “Why the fuck would you tell him something so painful Nelly?” Rick suddenly grabbed her arm.

“Did you listen to me when I tried to keep it from him?” “Quiet.” Kyrian suddenly said, his eyes looking lost.

His mind was a chaos, heart thundering and memories of their last days together replaying in his head.

Why didn’t she tell him?

Why did she keep it from him?

“Why did she fucking let me reject her when she was carrying our children?

If she just told me, I wouldn’t have…” “Would that have stopped you from replacing her with your other woman?” Nelly said looking at Claire who was about to snap back a reply but Kyrian raised a hand to silence her.

“She would have told you if you’d given her a chance to, but you were too busy thinking about building a life with someone else.” The guilt and regret in Kyrian’s heart turned into blazing anger, all that anger directed at himself.

He paced restlessly like a panther who had fire on its tail.

“She should have told me!” Kyrian snarled, his wolf rising to the surface.

He could hardly control the trembles that wracked his body.

“How could she have told you when you shoved divorce papers right in her face before she could even do so?” Nelly questioned accusation sharp in her tone.

Kyrian could smell the fear in her as his alpha aura infused the air yet she didn’t back down from defending her friend.

His whole body froze as he suddenly recalled something from that night when he’d given her the papers.

“I have something to tell you too.” He remembered the excitement in her tone as she’d said that.

“What did you want to tell me?” “It’s no longer important.” This time he could vividly picture the pain and disappointment in her eyes.

That must have been why she had looked so pale that morning before he rejected her, she must have been dealing with morning sickness, and she had declined the wine he’d offered her.

How couldn’t he have seen it in the smallest hints around him?

“You’ve gotten your answer Alpha…” Nelly began, knowing that asking the alpha to leave her home might get her punished, but she was done having that two faced vixen anywhere in her space, however Kyrian suddenly said something that cut her words short.

“How could Elle be so selfish, she tried to hide my pups from me and now we’ve lost them!”
