The lock at the gas station was not easy to pick. It took quite some effort before she managed to open it. She reached inside and stored the gasoline into her space, filling the empty fuel tanker trucks she had just collected. She then did the same with the diesel on the other side. However, Jiang Li did not take everything, she deliberately left some gasoline and diesel behind.

By the time she left the gas station, it was almost 3:30 a.m. In summer, dawn came relatively early; around 5:30 a.m., the sky would already start to brighten. So it was time to head back.

On the way back, she slightly detoured and took a different street. She planned to stop by any pharmacies she encountered and check them as well, and pick up a couple of useful shops along the way if possible.Full novel: Apocalypse Farming: I Stockpile Hundreds of Thousands of Goods Using My Space Ability — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Midway, she entered a clothing store and a shoe store, storing all the clothes and shoes inside, men’s and women’s alike. Among them were high heels as well. Even though she might not wear them in the future, keeping them there to look at occasionally was fine. She also visited a cosmetics store; in her previous life she had no chance, but now that conditions allowed, she naturally had to take proper care of her skin. After all, Jiang Li was still a girl who cared about her appearance. Then she went to an electronics store and stored all the phones, tablets, computers, and other devices inside her space in one go. These shops were close together, so the process was very fast.

Finally, when she arrived at another pharmacy, Jiang Li realized she hadn’t even had to pick the lock, the door was already open. Just as she was about to approach it, someone came out from inside.

The person walking out was also dressed in black, wearing a mask, and had a tall, sturdy build. It was too dark to see his face clearly. He seemed to be carrying something, likely medicines from inside.

The two of them froze for a moment as they faced each other.

Well, it looked like she had run into a fellow “professional.”

The atmosphere became slightly awkward. Jiang Li reacted first, quickly turning around and leaving, abandoning the pharmacy.

The two of them were still at some distance from each other, and with the darkness it was impossible to clearly see each other’s appearance. However, Jiang Li felt that the silhouette looked somewhat familiar, but she couldn’t remember where she had seen it before.

After this incident, Jiang Li decided not to go anywhere else and directly went home.

Back home, she turned on the two air-cooling fans in the bedroom and added ice cubes inside them. These were the type of fans that could be filled with water and ice, making the airflow much cooler, almost like a small air conditioner. She also turned on another fan, placing a basin with a large block of ice in the center of the room. The room temperature dropped significantly in an instant.

The items in the living room had already been stored into her space, so the area was now quite empty. After all, in a power outage situation, the living room was too large, and air-cooling fans alone were not enough to cool it effectively.

In the living room, she took out a bathtub, filled it with water, and quickly took a shower. She had been out all night and was covered in sweat from head to toe, even her hair was damp. After washing up, she stored everything back into her space. The used water was specially kept in a separate container, after all, everyone was short on water, and pouring it into the sewer would be too noticeable. It would draw unnecessary attention. When others didn’t even have drinking water, if her household still had water flowing into the drain, it would be suspicious. So she could only store it in her space. During water outage periods, she also used cat litter to solve bathroom needs instead of flushing the toilet.

With the high temperature, her hair dried quickly after a few wipes with a towel. Returning to her room, she took out a pre-packed serving of braised chicken with rice and a bottle of ice-cold cola from her space. She opened her tablet, played a downloaded drama, and ate while watching. After finishing, she rested for a while, refilled the air-cooling fan with ice, and then went to sleep.

On the other side, Gu Jin came out of the pharmacy. He didn’t expect to encounter someone else there, let alone someone doing the same thing as him. For a moment, he didn’t react in time. Before he could even make a move, the figure in front of him had already run off.

Watching the retreating silhouette, he felt the person’s build seemed to be a woman, and strangely, somewhat familiar, as if he had seen her somewhere before.
