The moment she heard the front door open, she did not even have time to put on her slippers. She sprang off the sofa and ran toward the entrance.

Her Big Brothers were home.

Without a second thought, she rushed forward to throw herself into their arms.Full novel: Apocalypse: The Mercenary Brothers Fiercely Compete for Their Little Sister — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Jiang Xun quickly stopped her. “Little Treasure? Wait, don’t. We’re filthy. Why are you crying?”

Seeing her tears, all four men were instantly distressed. They crowded around her, each trying to comfort her in their own clumsy way.

When Qin Shuo noticed her tiny bare feet, he immediately took a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet. Kneeling on the floor, he carefully helped her put them on. He had wanted to carry her, but his body was covered in dirt and blood, and he could not bear to stain his precious Little Sister.

Xiong Ji gently coaxed her, “Don’t cry anymore, sweetheart. Big Brother came home late. I’m sorry.”

Nan Qi rubbed his hands vigorously against his clothes before reaching out to lightly hook her little finger.

“Look at that pout. Don’t let those little pearls fall, sweetheart. It breaks Big Brother’s heart.”

Li Tong urged them to hurry and take a shower, saying she had something extremely important to tell them.

The four men obediently agreed. After comforting their precious Little Sister a little longer, they each returned to their rooms to wash up.

Li Tong walked over to the sofa and glanced at the time on her phone.

It was already past three in the morning.

Outside, peals of thunder were beginning to roll across the sky.

She hurried into the study, grabbed a pen and some paper, and carefully wrote down the sequence of disasters she had seen in her dream.

Torrential rain. Hurricane force winds.

Eternal night. Dense fog.

Hailstorms! Extreme cold.

Extreme heat. Acid rain.

And finally, the most terrifying disaster of all.

The insect invasion.

Now that she had been given this cheat ability, she would definitely protect her Big Brothers and herself, surviving together until the very end.

The men finished showering quickly. Normally it took them only a few minutes, but today the stench of blood clinging to them was especially strong, so they spent another ten minutes washing.

Holding the sheet of paper, Li Tong leaned against the wall outside their bedrooms, quietly waiting.

Xiong Ji was the first to come out. Bare chested with only a towel wrapped around his waist, he smiled when he saw her.

“Baby? Big Brother didn’t lock the door. Next time, just come inside and wait.”

The other three soon stepped out as well.

“Come on, hurry over!” Li Tong called.

Laughing, the four men gathered around her.

Holding up the paper, Li Tong blurted out everything she had prepared to say.

Silence immediately fell over the room.

Nan Qi took the paper from her and frowned as he quickly read through its contents.

Li Tong knew they would find it difficult to believe her. Just as she was about to explain further, all four of them nodded without the slightest hesitation, telling her they understood.

Qin Shuo spoke first.

“Alright! Big Brother understands. Tomorrow we’ll start stockpiling supplies. You don’t need to worry.”

“You… Do you actually believe me? You don’t think I’ve gone crazy or something?”

Jiang Xun smiled.

“Of course we believe you. Whatever Little Treasure says, Big Brother believes.”

“We need to leave right now,” Li Tong said. “We have to move to our apartment in Sunshine Garden. The villa won’t do. The torrential rain comes together with the hurricane force winds. We can’t stay here.”

Their luxurious villa stood alone atop a mountain, an exclusive residence reserved for the wealthiest. The entire mountain belonged to their family, while the nearest neighbours lived on the next mountain over. It was quiet, secluded, and exceptionally private.

Unfortunately, it was also far too dangerous.

Not only would mudslides, landslides, and severe flooding make the area uninhabitable, but the surrounding forest meant that trees, boulders, and countless other objects would become deadly projectiles once the violent winds arrived. By then, the villa would undoubtedly be devastated.

She had already seen this in her dream.

Back then, her Big Brothers had desperately protected her while escaping down the mountain, suffering terrible injuries.

Nan Qi had been crushed to death by a massive pine tree that the hurricane force winds had torn from the ground while shielding her.

Jiang Xun had lost one of his legs. Barely clinging to life, he had survived for less than a day before passing away as well.

They had protected her until the very last second of their lives.

The memory from her dream made tears well up uncontrollably in Li Tong’s eyes.

Nan Qi gently rubbed the top of her head.

“What’s wrong, sweetheart? Why are those little pearls falling again?”

He bent closer and carefully wiped away the tears from her cheeks.

The other three men’s expressions darkened the moment they saw him leaning in so close.

Xiong Ji forcefully grabbed Nan Qi and yanked him backwards, his eyes filled with warning.

Nan Qi returned the glare with equal hostility, neither willing to back down.

Li Tong wiped away her tears and tugged lightly on Nan Qi’s sleeve.

“What are you two doing?” she asked in a soft, slightly hoarse voice. “Big Brothers, let’s hurry. We can’t waste any more time.”

Her adorable appearance left all four men’s hearts itching.

Their ears turned red as they nodded, suddenly too embarrassed to look directly at her.

Xiong Ji smiled helplessly.

“Alright. We’ll pack up now. Baby, go wait in the living room like a good girl.”

Once they agreed, Li Tong casually waved her hand.

The entire villa instantly disappeared, shrinking into one of the storage slots inside her system inventory.

The four men froze where they stood.

Their eyes widened in complete disbelief as their brains struggled to process what had just happened.

Li Tong waved her hand again.

A people carrier appeared out of nowhere.

She darted into the front passenger seat, then turned around and called out,

“Hurry, Big Brothers! Get in!”

Only then did the four of them snap back to reality.

Still completely dazed, they awkwardly climbed into the vehicle.

Li Tong stuffed the keys into Xiong Ji’s large hand, urging him to start driving.

“This is my system, System 09. It’s exactly what I was telling you about.”

None of the men spoke.

It took them a long while before they finally accepted everything that had happened.

Jiang Xun looked at her seriously.

“Alright. Big Brother understands. But, Baby, you absolutely must never tell anyone else about this. And you must never show it in front of outsiders. Understood?”

The four of them repeatedly reminded their Little Sister until Li Tong finally grew impatient.

Pouting, she replied, “I know already. Stop nagging.”

Xiong Ji laughed.

Keeping one hand on the steering wheel, he reached over with his other muscular arm and affectionately ruffled her hair.

The moment their vehicle reached the foot of the mountain, the rain came crashing down.

Li Tong stared anxiously out the window, biting her lower lip.

“Baby, don’t bite your lip,” Xiong Ji gently comforted her. “It’s alright. We’ll be there soon.”

The rain only grew heavier.

It was as though the heavens were dumping endless buckets of water onto the earth.

Visibility had dropped to nearly zero.

The windscreen wipers swept back and forth without pause, while even the headlights looked distorted through the overwhelming sheets of rain.

Xiong Ji could only rely on the GPS to navigate.

Fortunately, all four brothers possessed exceptional driving skills. Even under such dangerous conditions, none of them panicked. Calm as ever, they continued reassuring Li Tong, telling her not to worry and not to be afraid.

The journey was difficult.

Traffic came to a standstill for a while, and it took them three full hours before they finally reached the high rise residential complex.

The building had thirty five floors.

Their apartment was on the thirtieth floor.

All four men were completely soaked through, while Li Tong had been protected so well that not even a single strand of her hair had gotten wet.

She immediately urged them to take hot showers.

While they were away, Li Tong used the system to install an additional bank grade aluminium alloy security door over the original entrance.

She then hurried through the apartment, replacing every window with bulletproof glass before reinforcing all the walls with another layer of aluminium alloy.

This system really was incredible.

As long as she imagined the process in her mind and waved her hand, it became reality with ease.

By the time she finished, the men had all finished showering.

Standing there bare chested with short towels wrapped around their waists, every one of them possessed a flawless physique. Broad shoulders, narrow waists, long legs, defined abs, powerful chests, and perfectly sculpted obliques, they lacked nothing.

The only imperfection was the countless savage scars covering their bodies, some of them old gunshot wounds that had pierced straight through and nearly claimed their lives.
