Murong Liefeng was the biggest Boss in this novel and also its strongest Male Protagonist. He was the unattainable white moonlight the heroine loved but could never have. In the final ending, he became the leader of the strongest Dawn Base, and Jun Ruoli’s group would follow him with unwavering loyalty until death.

“Who are you?” Hearing the commotion, Jun Ruoli and the others hurried over. He pulled Mu Qingruan behind him and looked coldly at the two strangers.

“Don’t misunderstand! Please don’t misunderstand! We really aren’t bad people!” The man immediately panicked and waved his hands frantically in explanation.Full novel: Apocalyptic Transmigration: The Godslayer Queen — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Unfortunately, with his rugged face and an extremely short buzz cut, no matter how one looked at him, he hardly resembled a trustworthy person.

“I’m Murong Liefeng. This is my partner, Liang Qing. We came from Z City and are heading to X City. We mean no harm,” the cold and handsome man said calmly.

“My boss is also the captain of the Strong Dragon Special Forces. We’re going to X City to find our teammates,” Liang Qing added.

“Let them come in,” Mu Qingruan said as she peeked out from behind Jun Ruoli.

“Alright.” Chu Mochen opened the RV door and let the two men aboard.

“Awesome! This RV is incredible!” The moment Liang Qing stepped inside, he looked around at the spotless and comfortable interior with unconcealed envy. Ever since the Apocalypse World began, he hadn’t slept on a proper bed once, let alone enjoyed clean sheets, pillows, and blankets.

“Where are you all headed?” Murong Liefeng asked.

“We don’t really have a destination for now. We’re simply collecting supplies wherever we go,” Jun Ruoli replied.

“X City is the nearest major city. Since it’s quite large, there should be plenty of supplies there. Would you like to team up with us and head there together?” Liang Qing suggested.

“Little Qingruan, what do you think?” Chu Mochen looked at Mu Qingruan.

In everyone’s eyes, Mu Qingruan had become the team’s lucky charm. Every route she chose either contained the most supplies or the fewest zombies.

Liang Qing and Murong Liefeng were both surprised. They hadn’t expected such a young girl to make the decisions for the team.

“There will definitely be plenty of zombies in X City, but it’ll be a good place for you to gain combat experience,” Mu Qingruan answered.

“Since Qingruan says so, then we’ll head to X City.” Jun Ruoli made the final decision, and no one objected.

“Then shall we leave now?” Chu Mochen asked.

“Judging by the two of you, you probably haven’t had a proper rest in quite some time,” Jun Ruoli said, looking at them.

“That’s right. We’ve been chased by zombies the whole way, and we’ve been in a hurry to reach X City to find our teammates. Boss and I have basically been taking turns driving without getting much rest,” Liang Qing admitted with a nod.

“Then stay here tonight and get a good night’s sleep. We’ll continue our journey tomorrow,” Chu Mochen suggested after a moment’s thought.

“Alright.” Murong Liefeng and Liang Qing both nodded.

“There aren’t any beds left on the first floor, so you’ll have to stay on the second floor for now. We’ll spread bedding over the mattresses first. Is that alright?” Jun Ruoli asked.

“Of course. As long as we have somewhere to sleep, it’s fine. We’ve been sleeping in sleeping bags inside tents anyway. Having a mattress is already more than enough,” Liang Qing said with satisfaction.

“Come on. I’ll take you upstairs.”

Jun Ruoli led them to the second floor.

There was a nearly two-and-a-half-meter-wide mattress covered with dreamy purple teddy bear sheets. Not far away were two single mattresses.

“That large mattress belongs to Qingruan. Would the two of you mind sleeping on the single ones?” Jun Ruoli asked.

“Not at all. We’re not picky,” Murong Liefeng replied with a nod.

Soon afterward, Chu Mochen and Xiao Yunzhou carried up blankets and placed them on the two single mattresses.

“Then have a good rest. We’ll head downstairs.”

“Thank you for your trouble,” Murong Liefeng said.

Jun Ruoli and the others smiled before leaving.

“Now that there are two strangers we don’t know well, let’s take out more supplies and leave them in the kitchen. We should avoid exposing Qingruan’s space as much as possible,” Jun Ruoli said as he sat beside Mu Qingruan, who was reading her comic.

“Okay!”

With a wave of her hand, a pile of vegetables, packaged bread, instant noodles, and canned food appeared on the table.

“Murong Liefeng doesn’t seem like an ordinary person. Should we invite them to officially join our team?” Ye Yifan suggested.

“I’ve heard of Murong Liefeng before. He’s considered an extraordinary figure among the special forces. According to the rumors, there isn’t a single mission he can’t accomplish. No matter how difficult the challenge, he always handles it with ease. On top of that, he’s famous for his decisive and ruthless methods. Once he takes action, he never shows mercy. Back in the military, he was someone everyone both respected and feared,” Jun Ruoli said, sharing what he knew.

“You can tell just by looking at him. He carries the aura of a king. Even if he joined our team, he would never remain an ordinary member. He would naturally become the unquestionable leader,” Mu Qingruan said calmly.

“Little Qingruan, you seem to think very highly of Murong Liefeng.” Chu Mochen sounded slightly unhappy after hearing her praise.

“I acknowledge anyone with real ability. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have chosen to leave with all of you in the first place.” Mu Qingruan smiled at him.

“Qingruan, when we first met, only our captain had awakened an ability. The rest of us didn’t have any powers at all. How were you so certain we had potential?” Ye Yifan asked curiously.

“You soldiers probably won’t believe this, but I understand a little metaphysics. When I first saw all of you, I saw the murderous aura surrounding you as well as your light of merit. That’s how I guessed your identities. I could also more or less see the direction your destinies would take,” Mu Qingruan answered.

“What? You’re that amazing?” Long Potian stared at her in disbelief.

“Otherwise, why do you think Huhu, who usually protects me, didn’t attack any of you?” Mu Qingruan rolled her eyes at him.

“Huhu? Are you sure his attacks would actually be effective?” Xiao Yunzhou looked at White Tiger, who spent nearly all his time either eating or sleeping in Mu Qingruan’s arms.

“Trust me. You really don’t want to find out firsthand.” Mu Qingruan smiled at him.

For some reason, that smile alone sent a chill down Xiao Yunzhou’s spine.

“Then, Qingruan, can you tell us what our future will be like?” Although Jun Ruoli didn’t believe in ghosts or destiny, he found himself instinctively trusting Mu Qingruan’s words.

“Heaven’s secrets cannot be revealed. But trust me, your destinies and Murong Liefeng’s are deeply intertwined. They cannot be separated.”

“I’ll believe you. Then let’s see for ourselves what kind of person this Murong Liefeng is to become so closely connected to us.” Jun Ruoli smiled and gently rubbed Mu Qingruan’s hair.

He trusted his instincts.

Mu Qingruan definitely knew far more than she let on.

And despite appearing innocent and harmless, she was anything but.
