"Where’s everything? Why is it all gone?"

He never went into this room, but for even the quilt to be gone... something was obviously wrong.

His bleary eyes scanned the room and landed on the open window. "She ran away—"

Su’s mother’s expression changed drastically.

She ran to the window and peered out, but there was no sign of that wretched girl.

"That bitch! She actually dared to run—"

Mr. Su’s expression was grim as well.

"How could she have run off with so much stuff by herself? Someone must have been waiting to help her."

The thought of all the things that little bitch had cleaned out made Su’s mother so furious it felt like her insides were being twisted into knots.

’When I get my hands on that little bitch, I’ll kill the whore.’

She whirled around and glared at her husband. "What are you just standing there for? Get your ass moving and go after her!"

Mr. Su: ...?

’Where am I supposed to chase her?’

"The train station! That damned girl must have gone to the train station."

The moment Su’s mother spoke, Mr. Su snapped to his senses, spun around, and ran out the door.

Su’s mother followed right behind him. ’This time,’ she thought, ’when I catch that damned girl, I’m going to make her pay.’

Su Yun had indeed headed for the train station.

As luck would have it, she managed to buy a ticket just in the nick of time.

By the time Mr. Su and Su’s mother reached the station, Su Yun was already on the train with her child.

From her seat in the carriage, she saw them chasing after the train.

A cold laugh escaped her. ’Just you wait. I’ll be back.’

Just then, Mr. Su spotted her inside the carriage.

He quickly tugged on Su’s mother’s arm. "Look! That damned girl is over there!"

Su’s mother turned, her gaze locking with the person in the carriage who was holding a child and staring at her with cold eyes. It was none other than that damned girl.

"Damned girl! You get down here right now!"

Su Yun sneered. ’Get down?’

’They don’t deserve to be my parents.’

Just then, the train began to move.

Seeing this, Mr. Su and Su’s mother grew frantic.

"Su Yun, get off the train—"

"Damned girl, get off the train now!"

But no matter how loudly the couple yelled, it was no use.

The closed doors and the slowly moving train were proof that they were one step too late.

"Goddamned bitch! Get down here!"

"Stop the train! Stop the train! Someone’s kidnapping a child!"

But it was all too late.

The train picked up speed, quickly disappearing into the distance.

The couple stomped their feet in a rage.

Su Yun watched the figures on the platform shrink into the distance, imagining just how furious they must be.

She pulled her gaze away.

She looked down, her gaze softening as she gazed at the sleeping child in her arms. ’Mama’s precious baby,’ she thought, ’in this life, Mama won’t let you suffer again.’

She was on her way to find the child’s father.

At the thought of the child’s father, a complicated look entered Su Yun’s eyes.

In her past life, she had been forced by circumstance to marry Qin Zhicheng.

Somehow, she had been drugged, and then she’d run into Qin Zhicheng, who had also been drugged by Su Tong.

Through a bizarre twist of fate, the two of them ended up in bed together.

The very next day, Qin Zhicheng called his unit to file a marriage application.

He then accompanied her home where, to Su Tong’s seething fury, Qin Zhicheng paid her family a three-hundred-yuan bride price, and the marriage was settled.

His only condition was that she remain with the Su Family for one year.

At the time, she had figured she and Qin Zhicheng were practically strangers anyway.

More importantly, she could tell that Qin Zhicheng was a cold man, not someone easy to get close to.

He thought she was the one who had set him up.

So, she had agreed without a second thought.

A week later, they held a simple wedding and officially registered their marriage.

The day after the wedding, Qin Zhicheng returned to his military base.

After that, he only ever sent money; he never once returned to the Su Family home.

In her past life, Qin Zhicheng died in the line of duty one year after their wedding.

He never even got to see his child.

This life, she was going to live for herself.

So, her first step was to go to his base and get a divorce. That way, she could get her own household registration.
