It was quite a rarity for a professor invited to lecture at Imperial Capital University to choose the Archeology Department!

Archeology was considered an unpopular major at the university, with a very low enrollment rate. Xu Yi had entered the department because of her family’s arrangements; her father was a museum director.

As for why she stayed, it was because of her master.Full novel: At Nightfall, Third Master Bows to His Sweet Little Darling — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“How handsome could he really be?”

Jiang Wan’s attitude was remarkably nonchalant.

If we were talking about handsome men, the “top host” from last night was easily the finest specimen she had ever seen in her life!

That face, that body…

Tsk, tsk…

Working as a gigolo was simply a waste of such talent!

Xu Yi smiled. “You’ll know once you see him. I’m waiting for you!”

When Jiang Wan returned to the university at nine in the morning, Xu Yi was already waiting for her at the base of the teaching building. “You’ve got some nerve. You’ve already failed subjects, yet you’re still skipping classes. Do you really want to repeat a year?”

Xu Yi slung her bag over her shoulder and walked side-by-side with her.

Jiang Wan shrugged. “I don’t really care.”

Xu Yi shook her head at the response. “You really are an optimist!”

When the two reached the classroom, they almost couldn’t find seats. It was packed to the brim, mostly with women, many of whom had hurried over from other departments just to listen.

Jiang Wan set down her notebook. “Since when did the Archeology Department become so popular?”

“It’s never the course that’s popular; it’s the person teaching it. People heard a handsome professor was coming—how could he not be popular?”

Xu Yi leaned in with a mysterious look. “This Professor Lu is a researcher, a PhD in Astrophysics from Cambridge. As soon as he returned to the country, he was invited by the Dean of the Astronomy Department. I heard he was originally going to choose the China Academy of Physics, but in the end, he chose our university. The key is that he’s also a finance mogul. He was supposed to give a lecture in the Finance Department, but who knows why he changed his mind at the last minute and picked Archeology? Don’t you think that’s strange?”

Hearing this, Jiang Wan did indeed find herself feeling curious.

A tall, upright figure appeared unhurriedly outside the door.

An audible gasp erupted from the girls in the room.

Xu Yi’s eyes sparkled. “My god, Professor Lu really is so handsome!”

The man’s build was tall and poised.

He wore a well-tailored gray suit with sharp lines and refined fabric, exuding an undeniable air of luxury.

While glasses might mask the looks of most men, on him, they only served to release more charm. His temperament was noble, cold, and detached from the mundane.

Jiang Wan took a closer look.

The smile completely vanished from her face.

This man—

Wasn’t he the “top host” from the nightclub last night?!

Jiang Wan’s mind went blank, her thoughts descending into utter chaos.

She would never mistake that man’s face!

A club “gigolo” transforming into a specially invited professor at the university? This was just…

The word “mind-blowing” flashed through her mind.

The moment she met the man’s gaze, Jiang Wan flinched, hurriedly raising her notebook to hide her face.

He wouldn’t recognize her, would he?

This was a nightmare!

She had even slept with the man…

Lu Yanzhou witnessed a certain woman’s panicked attempt to hide herself. The corners of his lips quirked almost imperceptibly as he began the lecture with a calm, unhurried composure.

Throughout the entire class, Jiang Wan couldn’t focus at all. Her mind was wandering, her thoughts drifting aimlessly.

“The student in green…”

Lu Yanzhou rested his hands on the edge of the lectern, his gaze fixed on the audience.

Everyone looked around at one another.

Finally, all eyes landed on Jiang Wan, who was wearing a cyan outfit.

Xu Yi nudged her with an elbow, her voice full of envy. “He’s calling you!”

Jiang Wan looked down at her clothes.

She almost doubted if she was actually wearing green!

This was clearly cyan!

Lu Yanzhou remained as calm as a still lake, acting as if he had never crossed paths with her. “Student, you’ve been daydreaming through my class. Do you find it that boring?”

If looks could kill, Jiang Wan probably would have been slaughtered a hundred times over by the glares of the other girls.

Jiang Wan gritted her teeth and stood up, saying testily, “Professor, I don’t understand a word you’re saying!”

“Who is this girl? How dare she speak to the professor like that?”

“I heard she’s the Jiang family’s adopted daughter, some girl from the countryside. She didn’t even graduate middle school and got into university through the back door just to fish for a degree. It would be a miracle if she could understand anything!”
