Ryan stored the dungeon map and looked at the Black Water Wyvern.
"Let’s keep hunting."
The wyvern spread its wings and continued through the cave.
The deeper they went, the stronger the monsters became.
Ryan found several groups of Blackwater Crocodiles, Poison Toads, and Water Serpents. Most of them were between Level 45 and Level 55.
The Black Water Wyvern fought them one group at a time.
Ryan only stepped in when there were too many monsters for the wyvern to handle alone. Otherwise, he allowed his new summon to gain as much experience as possible.
After several battles, more notifications appeared.
[Black Water Wyvern has leveled up.]
[Level 9 → Level 16]
Ryan nodded.
"That’s much faster than I expected."
The wyvern’s growth rate was clearly much better than that of Blizzy when he had first summoned her.
Ryan continued moving deeper into the dungeon.
After another hour, the wyvern had reached Level 28.
Ryan himself had also gained several levels.
His Constitution was now 490, leaving only ten more points before he could use the Black Dragon Blood Drop.
He opened his status screen.

Ryan looked at his available stat points.
"Only four."
He had already spent most of them on Constitution.
"I need six more."
He closed the status screen.
"That shouldn’t take long."
He looked ahead.
The tunnel had become much wider, and the water around them was deeper than before.
Ryan activated Spirit Sense.
Several powerful presences immediately appeared in his perception.
"There are monsters ahead."
The Black Water Wyvern stopped.
Ryan looked at the dark tunnel.
"Their levels are much higher."
A few seconds later, several enormous creatures emerged from the water.
They were Blackwater Crocodile Kings.
Their bodies were almost twice the size of the ordinary crocodiles they had fought earlier.
Ryan checked their levels.
Level 62.
"There should be enough experience here."
The Black Water Wyvern lowered its body.
Ryan pointed forward.
"Go."
The wyvern rushed toward the monsters.
BOOM!
Its claws struck the first Crocodile King.
The monster was pushed several meters backward.
The other Crocodile Kings immediately surrounded the wyvern.
Ryan remained on the edge of the battlefield and prepared a few temporary support totems.
A Wind Totem appeared beneath the wyvern.
An Ice Totem appeared behind it.
An Earth Totem formed near its feet.
The three totems activated together.
The wyvern’s movement speed increased while the surrounding monsters were slowed by ice.
The Earth Totem created a layer of protection around the wyvern’s body.
Ryan nodded.
"That should be enough."
The Black Water Wyvern opened its mouth.
"Black Water Breath."
BOOOOOOM!
A massive stream of poisonous water swept across the chamber.
Two Crocodile Kings were caught directly in the attack.
Their scales began corroding as they struggled to move.
The remaining monsters charged forward.
The wyvern spread its wings.
"Draconic Roar."
ROOOOAR!
The roar shook the entire chamber.
The weaker Crocodile Kings hesitated for a moment.
That was enough.
The wyvern rushed forward and finished them one after another.
Ryan watched the experience notifications appear.
[Black Water Wyvern has leveled up.]
[Level 28 → Level 35]
Ryan smiled.
"Good."
He checked his own experience bar.
He was getting close to another level as well.
"If we keep this pace, I should reach Level 81 soon."
Ryan looked at the Black Water Wyvern.
The creature was already much larger than when it had first appeared.
Its scales had become darker, and the blue flames in its eyes had grown brighter.
Ryan nodded.
"You are growing pretty quickly."
The wyvern lowered its head.
Ryan climbed onto its back again.
"Let’s keep going."
They continued deeper into the Blackwater Cave Dungeon, searching for stronger monsters and more experience.
Ryan continued deeper into the Blackwater Cave Dungeon with the Black Water Wyvern.
The monsters became stronger as they moved farther from the entrance.
Most of the creatures they encountered were now above Level 60, and some were close to Level 70.
The wyvern handled most of them by itself.
Ryan supported it with temporary totems whenever necessary, using Wind Totems to increase its speed, Earth Totems for defense, and Ice Totems to slow down groups of enemies.
Their hunting speed increased considerably.
After another two hours, the Black Water Wyvern reached Level 50.
Ryan also gained several levels.
More importantly, his experience bar was almost full.
"Just a little more."
They soon entered another large underground chamber.
A group of monsters was gathered around a large underground lake.
Ryan activated Spirit Sense and checked them.
There were more than twenty monsters.
Most were Level 65 to Level 72.
At the center of the group was a much larger creature.
Ryan looked at it.
Blackwater Crocodile Lord
Level: 75
Rank: Elite Monster
Race: Blackwater Crocodile
Ryan smiled.
"Perfect."
The Black Water Wyvern immediately rushed forward.
The monsters noticed it and charged at the same time.
Ryan raised his staff.
"Let’s make this quick."
Several temporary totems appeared around the battlefield.
A Wind Totem increased the wyvern’s speed.
An Earth Totem strengthened its defense.
An Ice Totem froze the ground around the monsters.
A Fire Totem released several waves of flames across the lake.
The Black Water Wyvern charged through the flames and attacked the nearest monster.
Its claws tore through the creature’s scales.
Another monster attacked from behind.
The wyvern quickly turned around and struck it with its tail.
Bang!
The monster flew across the chamber and crashed into the cave wall.
Ryan continued supporting the battle from behind.
The Blackwater Crocodile Lord was much stronger than the other monsters.
It fought the wyvern directly and managed to block several of its attacks.
The wyvern opened its mouth.
"Black Water Breath."
A large stream of poisonous water struck the Crocodile Lord.
The monster’s body was pushed backward.
Ryan immediately created another totem.
This time, a giant ice rune appeared above the battlefield.
"Ice Bind."
Chains of ice formed around the Crocodile Lord’s legs.
