The one whose eyes lit up was naturally Yan Qing. Her heart burst with joy. This was simply wonderful!

It was actually Wei Hao! One of the nine teammates who had betrayed her in her previous life!

She had never expected that after Yan Xia and the others had been trapped here in her previous life, it was Wei Hao who had resolved their crisis.Full novel: Back to 100 Days Before the Apocalypse: I Sold My Possessions and Frantically Stockpiled Supplies — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

No wonder Yan Xia and Cheng Yutang had looked so emotional when they saw Wei Hao during one of the rescue missions.

This truly was a case of searching high and low only to find it effortlessly in the end!

She quickly swept her gaze around in all directions. There was no one else in this old alley.

She rushed forward, tightly gripped the iron rod in her hand, and viciously smashed it into Wei Hao’s head.

“Ah! Yan Qing! You killed someone!” Yan Xia raised a hand to cover her mouth, her eyes wide with horror as she stared at her.

Wei Hao collapsed limply onto the ground, blood pouring from his head. It was impossible to tell whether he was alive or dead.

Cheng Yutang and Elder Uncle, along with the others, were also so shocked by Yan Qing’s sudden action that their mouths hung open and they forgot how to react.

“Tch, a dying person isn’t worthy of speaking any more with me.”

Under everyone’s terrified gazes, Yan Qing took advantage of their stunned state and raised the iron rod in her hand, viciously smashing each of them in the head.

Bodies dropped one after another onto the ground with dull thuds. Behind her, heavy footsteps also approached. The zombies had been drawn over by Yan Xia’s scream earlier, saving her the trouble of attracting them herself.

She directly flipped herself onto the wall and stood on top of it. Turning around, she looked at the six zombies walking into the alley entrance, perfectly matching the six people lying on the ground. One zombie for each person.

The zombies dragged their twisted limbs forward with difficulty. Once they reached where the group had fallen, excited “heh heh” sounds came from their mouths.

Yan Qing watched one zombie stiffly try to crouch down, only to lose its balance and fall directly onto Yan Xia.

Pinned beneath the zombie, Yan Xia slowly regained consciousness while clutching her head. She opened her eyes and found herself staring directly into the zombie’s eyes…

“AHHHHHH!!! AHHHHHHH!!! HELP! SOMEBODY SAVE ME!!!”

Yan Xia broke down and screamed, her mouth opening wide. At that exact moment, she caught an unidentified liquid dripping from the zombie’s mouth…

The moment it entered her mouth, the rotten stench surged upward, causing her to gag violently.

But her hands were pinned down tightly by the zombie, leaving her unable to move.

Yan Xia could only watch as the unidentified liquid continuously dripped from the zombie’s mouth into hers. Enduring her disgust, she hurriedly clamped her mouth shut.

Yan Xia’s screams also gradually woke the others nearby. They too erupted into terrified screams.

As Yan Xia’s grandmother opened her mouth and screamed, she happened to see Yan Qing standing atop the wall.

“Yan Qing! Hurry, hurry and save Grandma! Hurry!”

Yan Qing lowered her head and looked at her so-called grandmother. She gave her a fake smile and ignored her.

“AH!! Yan Qing! You damned bitch! You’ll die horribly!”

Furious and exasperated, the old woman saw Yan Qing remain unmoved and immediately started cursing.

As her curses rang out, the others who had awakened also saw Yan Qing standing on the wall. Together they began cursing at Yan Qing atop the wall.

Yan Qing simply looked at them with that same fake smile. She neither responded nor spoke, and she certainly was not angry. Right now, she only felt the exhilaration of finally avenging her great hatred.

As she watched them gradually become surrounded by zombies, she even took an ear pick out of her spatial storage and casually cleaned her ears.

Watching their curses grow louder and louder, she smiled with increasing satisfaction. The harsher they cursed now, the more painful it would be for them later.

“AHHH!!! Yan Qing! You’ll die horribly!”

She watched as the zombie on top of Yan Xia let out a roar and bit directly into Yan Xia’s cheek. A massive bloody hole instantly appeared on her face as blood splattered everywhere.

The others were not faring any better.

The zombie sprawled in front of Cheng Yutang directly bit down on his manhood.

“AHHH!!!”

A shrill, eunuch-like scream pierced through the sky, causing Yan Qing to burst into laughter.

“Hahahahahaha! Seriously, Cheng Yutang, you’re too hilarious, hahahahahaha!! You’ve become a eunuch!”

Cheng Yutang opened his eyes and glared viciously at Yan Qing atop the wall. The venomous look in his eyes seemed as though he wanted to slice Yan Qing into a thousand pieces.

As he let out his high-pitched screams, he also cursed Yan Qing through gritted teeth.

Yet Yan Qing only laughed harder and louder, making Cheng Yutang, who lay on the ground being chewed apart in very important places, feel worse than death.

Not long afterward, screams rose one after another. Listening to them left Yan Qing feeling utterly refreshed.

Suddenly, it felt as though more than half of the resentment from her miserable death in her previous life had disappeared!

At first, the six people on the ground could still painfully wail while cursing Yan Qing a few times. But by the end, they could not even make tiny sounds anymore, and gradually the only thing left was the sound of zombies chewing.

By the time the zombies dispersed, only six sets of ghastly white bones remained on the ground. Yan Qing also turned around and left.

She found a lush tree nearby in the alley and climbed onto its trunk. Then she took out a notebook and pen from her spatial storage.

Flipping to the page where her revenge list was recorded, she looked at the names written there and used her right hand to cross out the names of those who had already died.

Her eyes flashed with a dark gleam as she stared at the eight names that remained, a cold smile curling at her lips.

After putting away the notebook and pen, her stomach suddenly growled. Yan Qing, who had originally planned to climb down the tree, simply took out some lightly flavored food from her spatial storage and began eating.

Although there were very few zombies nearby, she had no interest in causing trouble for herself. Besides, there was a residential building not far away, and she had no idea whether anyone had witnessed what had happened earlier.

Fortunately, she had been fully geared up the whole time, wearing a mask and hat. Even if someone had seen her, they would not know who she was.

After finishing her meal, she stored the trash back into her spatial storage. Wrapping her arms around the trunk, she slid down. But the moment her feet touched the ground, a zombie suddenly lunged toward her back.

“Bang!!”

A sharp Tang blade appeared out of nowhere. It swept across the zombie’s neck, and its head instantly fell to the ground while the body collapsed heavily after it.

Yan Qing pulled her baseball cap lower, completely hiding her face.

Just now, she had felt the gazes of many people.

The feeling made her extremely uncomfortable.

It felt like being secretly watched.

After she left, one of the tenants on the eleventh floor of a nearby residential building lowered his phone and stepped away from the window.

Looking at the video on his phone, he smiled in satisfaction.

This was huge news!

He was an eyewitness.

This time, he would definitely become famous throughout the country!

Meanwhile, Yan Qing had already changed into cycling gear. She was currently riding a modified silent motorcycle at top speed toward Qingjiang Village according to the route shown on her navigation.

One of the teammates who had betrayed her in her previous life was in Qingjiang Village, thirty kilometers away from Heshui City.

Thinking back to her previous life, when Yan Qing and the other ability users from Heshui Base had gone to Qingjiang Village on a rescue mission, she had found Liang Hong tied up inside the village ancestral hall.

At that time, Liang Hong had been starved until she was skin and bones. She had been tied up by the surviving villagers and placed on a roasting rack inside the ancestral hall. Fire was just about to be lit beneath it so they could roast Liang Hong alive.

Hung upside down on the rack, large tears streamed from Liang Hong’s eyes. Her mouth had been stuffed shut, and muffled “mmph mmph” sounds continuously escaped from her as she helplessly shook her head, begging the villagers not to eat her.

But how could those villagers, who had already eaten human flesh before, possibly let Liang Hong go?
