“You all must live well, for your families and for your parents!”

The children raised their reddened eyes to look at her and nodded through their tears.

Yan Qing turned around and looked at the people before her with determination written across her face.

She considered herself neither a completely good person nor a completely bad one.

Since Heaven had given her another chance at life, it had not only given her an opportunity for revenge, but also an opportunity to save more lives.

Although she had been betrayed by those people in her team in her previous life, there was no reason for her to hate all humanity because of a few scumbags.

After all, the people she had saved were not limited to just those few.

Although she had not saved a thousand people in her previous life, she had at least saved a hundred.

Among them, many had contributed to survivor bases, and many had become ability users or mission participants.

They had sincerely carried gratitude in their hearts.

Whenever Yan Qing encountered difficulties, they had always stepped forward to help her.

Though they had not been her family or teammates, they had felt even more like family and teammates than her actual family and teammates.

And among the countless missions in her previous life, she had also been saved by others.

She had likewise received care from others.

She simply had never expected that the first people to betray her would be her closest family and the person she loved most…

Three hours later, the RV stopped in front of a mountain.

Yan Qing opened the door, and a line of children immediately climbed out of the vehicle.

The people in the vehicles following behind also stopped their cars and got out.

Dozens of people stood together and looked up at the towering mountain before them.

They were standing directly at the foot of the mountain.

The sound of flowing water entered their ears.

Looking to the right, there was a gently flowing stream.

Many large and small trees lined the banks, with scattered dead branches lying beneath them.

The beautiful scenery made it seem as though they were tourists on a spring outing rather than survivors fleeing disaster.

On the left side of the mountain was a national highway just wide enough for one vehicle to pass through.

No one knew where it led.

Looking upward at the front of the mountain, around six meters above the ground there was actually a cave entrance.

From where they stood, the inside appeared pitch black.

Nothing could be seen.

Standing at the foot of the mountain, Yan Qing could not help recalling the scene from her previous life when she had discovered this place.

Back then, in order to earn more points and support Yan Xia’s family, she had often gone to the Task Hall to randomly form teams and participate in supply searches and rescue missions.

Unfortunately, their team had encountered a zombie tide nearby that contained a Zombie Lord.

There had also been several Level 1 and Level 2 zombies among them.

Fortunately, she had carried climbing ropes in her space.

Relying on the cooperation of a soil ability user, a wind ability user, and a speed ability user in the team, everyone had safely climbed into the cave six meters above the ground and escaped disaster.

While waiting for the zombie tide to pass, they had explored the cave before them.

Unexpectedly, there had been much more hidden within.

The cave’s interior space had actually exceeded five hundred square meters!

They could not determine whether the cave had been artificially constructed or naturally formed.

Near the entrance they had climbed through, there had also been a small pool approximately three meters wide.

The water was only half a meter deep.

Water flowed from cracks in the stone walls and into the pool, while excess water ran out beside the cave entrance and flowed into the stream below.

Yan Qing had even drunk from that small pool.

The water had been incredibly sweet, even tastier than water produced by water ability users.

Further inside the cave, they had discovered three branching paths.

One led to the mountaintop.

One led to the stream on the right side of the mountain.

The final one led between the stream and the road.

Furthermore, all three entrances were extremely well hidden.

So hidden that neither Yan Qing’s group nor the zombies had discovered them in her previous life.

It had practically been the perfect shelter.

The only downside was that the cave had poor lighting.

Yan Qing had only remembered this mountain a few hours ago and brought the eighty nine survivors here.

As a temporary shelter, it was extremely safe.

“Miss Yan… that cave entrance is so high… isn’t it kind of… hard… to climb…?”

A young woman named Cha Xiaofan asked Yan Qing nervously.

After speaking, she cautiously looked at Yan Qing’s expression.

The others also looked at Yan Qing uneasily.

“No need to climb. There’s another route inside. Bring your things and follow me.”

Upon hearing that, Cha Xiaofan and the others immediately let out sighs of relief.

If they truly had to climb up there, it would be extremely difficult…

Yan Qing led them between the stream and a small path, winding through twists and turns for several minutes.

Suddenly, a cave entrance large enough for two people to pass through side by side seemed to appear out of nowhere.

Everyone’s eyes widened.

They turned around and looked at the vehicles behind them.

How had they simply walked around for a bit and suddenly found a cave entrance?

It clearly had not been there earlier.

This entrance was obviously incredibly hidden.

Without someone leading the way, there was absolutely no chance of finding it!

After entering the somewhat narrow entrance, the passage gradually widened and could accommodate four people walking side by side.

After several more minutes, they finally arrived inside the cave.

Upon entering, the survivors first carefully laid the unconscious injured people on the ground one by one.

Then they scattered in all directions and quickly investigated the cave’s surroundings.

As for Yan Qing, she directly walked over near the cave entrance beside the small pool, hugged Da An, leaned against the stone wall, closed her eyes, and rested.

After exploring the cave, the survivors looked around in amazement.

They never would have imagined that this ordinary looking cave could contain such an enormous interior space.

The children soon discovered the small pool not far from Yan Qing.

Immediately, they ran over and lay down on the ground to drink water.

Hearing movement, Yan Qing opened one eye to see what was happening.

Upon realizing the children were simply drinking water, she closed her eyes again.

After the children finished gulping down water, the adults also walked over.

They wanted to cup water with their hands, but looking at their hands, which were covered with blood, sweat, dirt, and grime…

In the end, they chose to imitate the children and simply lay down to drink directly.

Yan Qing opened her eyes and watched their actions.

Then she lowered her head and looked at her own clothes, which were so filthy that their original color was no longer visible.

After everyone finished drinking, she instructed them to head down to the stream below the mountain and clean themselves.

They dragged along the bound bald man and his daughter and headed toward the stream.

Using rope, they tied the bald father and daughter to the nearest tree by the riverbank.

The women and children cleaned themselves upstream while still wearing their clothes.

The men cleaned themselves downstream.

They rotated in shifts.

One group washed themselves and their clothes while another group remained on the shore with weapons standing guard in case zombies suddenly appeared.

Meanwhile, tied to the tree by the riverbank, the bald man and his daughter stared viciously at the people washing in the river and patrolling nearby.

They wished with all their hearts that zombies would appear immediately and devour every last one of them.
