It was still congested, but at least better than the stretch of road they had just passed.

Qin Ze signaled for everyone to find a car and get in.

Nan Fei immediately opened the door of a nearby taxi, dragged out the zombified driver inside, and tossed him aside.Full novel: Book Transmigration into an Apocalypse: The Irritating Supporting Villainess Is Actually the Real Powerhouse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Then, under everyone’s watchful eyes, she shoved her backpack into the front passenger seat, clearly not intending to share a car with anyone else.

Seeing this, Lin Runxin quickly ran over and asked, “Nan Fei, can I ride in your car?”

Yu Hong and Yu Yang followed right behind him.

Nan Fei paused for a moment. Thinking of the person controlling the zombies, she swallowed her refusal and gave a light nod.

“Get in.”

After getting her approval, Yu Hong looked at Qin Ze. “You guys take one car—four people together is safer.”

With that, he tossed their four backpacks into the trunk.

Bang!

The trunk slammed shut at the same time a dull thud came from the roof.

Nan Fei was closest to it. Even though she dodged immediately, a few drops of bright red liquid still splattered onto her.

In an instant, the zombies that had previously been unaware of them went into a frenzy.

“ROAAAR—”

Roars echoed one after another. Everyone instantly realized what had been thrown onto the roof and hurried into their cars.

Because the meat landed on Nan Fei’s side, all the zombies rushed toward her car. Fortunately, she had already opened the door, and before they could swarm in, she slammed it shut and got inside safely.

“Who the hell would do something so insane?!” Yu Yang cursed from the back seat as he watched zombies start climbing the car.

Nan Fei ignored the zombies smashing at the windows. She had blood on her body—after eating the meat chunk, the zombies would not leave.

She had to find the perfume quickly.

Lin Runxin understood her intention and started helping search.

The perfume had been an important item, and Nan Fei had always kept it in an easy-to-reach place—but now, it was nowhere to be found.

Listening to the zombies pounding the windows, she frowned, her hand already reaching into her bag, ready to take out a bottle from her space.

“What are you looking for?” Yu Hong asked.

“Perfume,” Lin Runxin replied while still searching.

“Wasn’t the perfume with Zhou Wenqian?” Yu Yang said in confusion.

At the same time, on the other side—

Zhou Wenqian stood in a different car, frantically spraying perfume all over herself as she watched the zombies swarm toward Nan Fei’s direction.

“Wenqian! Why is the perfume with you?!” Guan Kaiwen shouted in shock.

Zhou Wenqian’s hand froze slightly, confusion flashing across her face.

“It’s been in my bag since we left the mall… didn’t you guys put it in there?”

“Impossible! Perfume is life-saving stuff—why would Nan Fei give it to someone else?” Guan Kaiwen said angrily, eyes turning toward Nan Fei’s direction. “The meat is over there, and you took the perfume?! No wonder the zombies aren’t leaving after eating!”

Zhou Wenqian’s expression stiffened.

Someone framed her.

Almost instantly, her confusion vanished, replaced by a dark, dangerous look.

A hand suddenly pressed over hers.

It was Wang Qiang. She stood there stiffly, panic written all over her face as she tried to hide her fear from Guan Kaiwen.

Zhou Wenqian pulled her hand back and glanced toward Qin Ze’s cold profile in the front seat, her eyes darkening further.

“Back off! The zombies are retreating!” Guan Kaiwen suddenly shouted again.

Sure enough, the zombies that had been rushing toward Nan Fei’s car began to lose their target and slowly dispersed.

Zhou Wenqian finally relaxed.

Bang!

Before she could fully breathe out, another familiar thud came from the roof.

The scattered zombies immediately surged toward their car instead.

Zhou Wenqian looked at the window—blood was slowly sliding down the glass.

Zombies pressed their faces against the windows, making her pale.

“Ah!!” Wang Qiang screamed and curled up, covering her ears as she squeezed toward the center.

“Shut up!” Qin Ze snapped from the driver’s seat.

But Wang Qiang was already too terrified to respond. Only Zhou Wenqian, pale-faced, reached out to hold her and softly comforted her.

“Why did the zombies suddenly switch to their side?” Yu Yang asked, holding back a sneeze in confusion.

“The attacker didn’t leave,” Yu Hong explained. “They were the ones who threw the meat.”

Because their car was heading out of the mall and its rear faced Qin Ze’s direction, Yu Hong could clearly see through the rear window that the meat had been thrown onto Qin Ze’s car.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t see where the attacker was.

Hearing this, Nan Fei lowered her gaze, expression cold.

She had deliberately placed the perfume in a visible spot.

It was taken out of her space using the cover of her backpack.

She was glad she had placed it in a shopping bag before meeting the others.

Otherwise, how would she explain an extra bottle of perfume?

Tell them she had dual abilities? And one of them was spatial storage?

That would be equivalent to admitting everything in the supermarket had been taken by her.

Suppressing her thoughts, Nan Fei opened the car window and looked outside.

The perfume masked the scent of blood on her body, so even though she appeared, the zombies didn’t react to her at all.

She simply got out of the car.

The paint on the vehicle had already been scratched away, leaving countless claw marks.

Lin Runxin and the others followed her out immediately.

From outside the car, the distant situation was still unclear.

Yu Yang climbed onto the roof to look.

“They’re still throwing it!” he suddenly shouted, then jumped back down into the car.

Nan Fei and the others quickly got back in.

The moment the doors shut, dull “thump thump thump” sounds rang out again on the roof.

Fist-sized chunks of flesh rained down from above—hitting the roof, the body of the car, and the ground around it…

Nan Fei looked at a bloodied, mangled hand sliding down the windshield, her fists tightening.

Before she transmigrated into the book, she had worked in a special department handling interrogations. As a “special personnel,” she naturally wasn’t limited to just interrogation work.

So the moment she saw the first piece of flesh, she knew—it was human meat.

At first, she had hoped optimistically that in the early apocalypse, humanity hadn’t completely collapsed and someone might have cut off their own flesh to distract zombies and escape.

But now, the sight of this severed hand mocked her naivety.

So much fresh flesh—it couldn’t possibly come from one person.

While she was thinking, the zombies arrived.

After prolonged attraction from blood and flesh, it was no longer just nearby zombies—newly arrived ones included many Level 1 zombies.

Nan Fei observed their agile movements and pressed the horn.

The piercing sound rang out, attracting not only the zombies but also Qin Ze’s group.

They followed suit and honked their horn.

Once the flesh was consumed, the zombies roared again, and Nan Fei had already started the engine.

Level 0 zombies were left behind; only those above Level 0 continued to chase.

Without hesitation, she rammed straight into the zombies blocking her path.

Dark red zombie blood splattered onto the hood, but she drove forward without slowing down.

Only when encountering abandoned vehicles on the road did she detour.

Qin Ze’s group followed behind. Two cars sped through the road as zombies ran wildly after them, arms flailing.
