He immediately looked toward the little skeleton.

The skeleton’s fiery eyes met his gaze.

Aron asked through telepathy, “Why are you telling me this now?” The skeleton let out a long sigh, “Master…” “The power hidden inside you…Sigh!…Even I can’t properly sense it.” “I know you’re hiding things.” “And I know you understand far more than ordinary people.” “This world is not as simple as it appears.” “So I want to help you.” Its voice became firm, “I want to help you reach the apex.” “But in return…” “Help me grow stronger alongside you.” The skeleton looked at him quietly, waiting for an answer.Full novel: Calamity Through My Eyes — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Aron was genuinely surprised.

So his Assistant had sensed something unusual about him after all.

That was why it had finally decided to share this information.

He thought for a moment then he nodded.

“Alright.” “From now on, I’ll help you become stronger.” “In return, provide me with the information I need in the future.” The skeleton’s face immediately brightened.

It nodded repeatedly.

“Deal, Master!” The two of them silently reached an agreement.

Not far away, Lisa and Sarah had noticed Aron communicating with his Assistant through telepathy.

Seeing that he seemed busy, they didn’t interrupt him.

Instead, the two girls quietly began chatting among themselves, giving Aron some time to finish his conversation.

At that moment, while everyone was busy eating and Aron was discussing things with his Assistant through telepathy, the ground suddenly trembled.

The cups placed beside a nearby stone began shaking violently.

Thrrrrrr…

Thrrrrrr…

Lisa and the others instantly became serious again.

They immediately got into position.

Aron also stood up, his sword appearing in his hand.

The ground shook more violently, and the next second, Aron sensed something beneath them.

His expression changed as he shouted, “Jump!

Jump to the side!” Without hesitation, he grabbed Lisa and Sarah by their waists and leaped away.

Everyone else also reacted immediately.

Gorgon and Cedric jumped in one direction, while Rob pulled Myra along with him.

The moment they landed a few meters away…

BOOM!

The entire area where they had been sitting collapsed.

The ground split apart as something enormous swallowed everything in a single bite.

The food, stones, and even the sand disappeared into a gigantic mouth.

Then the creature slowly rose from beneath the desert.

Since it had failed to catch any prey, it was clearly enraged.

A terrifying screech echoed across the wasteland.

Everyone finally saw what it was.

A gigantic red-faced centipede over a hundred meters long.

Its body was covered in crimson-red armor-like plates, while countless sharp legs crawled across its enormous body.

Its face was completely red in color…

Just looking at its disgusting face made Myra shiver uncontrollably.

“Shrriiieeeeekkkk!!” The giant centipede shrieked in fury.

Only then did Aron realize he was still holding the waists of two beautiful girls.

His ears instantly became hot.

He quickly let go and stepped back.

Lisa and Sarah both felt slightly embarrassed for a moment before focusing on the monster again.

Sarah swallowed nervously, “What are we going to do…?” “That’s an Initial A-rank monster…” Lisa also looked toward Aron.

Aron simply chuckled, “So what if it’s an A-rank monster?” Then he turned toward Lisa, “Lisa.” “Watch carefully.” “Don’t miss a single movement.” “I’m only going to use my sword against this thing.” Lisa’s eyes immediately brightened.

She nodded seriously.

The only thing she was interested in was the sword, and now she had met someone whose swordsmanship was even better than the S-rank Sires from her clan.

“I understand.” Sarah, however, frowned immediately.

Aron had specifically instructed Lisa but hadn’t said anything to her.

She hmphed softly and folded her arms across her chest.

The others gathered together once more.

Aron told them to stay back and keep themselves safe.

Then he walked alone toward the giant centipede.

With a smooth motion, he unsheathed his sword.

Shing!

The beautiful light-blue blade instantly attracted everyone’s attention.

Even the centipede seemed to sense the pressure coming from Aron at this moment.

It roared furiously at him, yet Aron didn’t move a single step.

Standing there calmly with his sword in hand, he looked completely unfazed by the gigantic monster before him.

Seeing that scene, everyone felt a surge of admiration and respect rise within their hearts once again.

The giant centipede suddenly attacked.

Its enormous mouth opened wide, and a massive ball of poisonous liquid shot toward Aron.

“Aron!

Dodge!” Sarah immediately shouted in panic.

The horrifying truth of Mika’s death flashed through her mind once again.

On the side, Myra and the others also looked at Aron with worry.

Now they possessed Vortex Stones.

They could leave this vortex whenever they wanted.

But Aron was their savior.

None of them wanted to leave this place without him.

Aron simply smiled…

Then he looked toward Lisa and spoke calmly, “Lisa.” “Let me show you something.” “Swordsmanship can be used in many ways.” “But the foundation of every sword technique consists of only three movements.” He slowly raised his sword.

“Horizontal Slash, Vertical Slash and Stab.” “If you master these three fundamentals…

you could perform any moves flawlessly.” “No matter how profound a sword technique becomes, it will eventually return to these three forms.” Lisa listened attentively, not daring to miss a single word.

Aron raised his sword slightly higher, “Using just these three movements…” “You can cut apart anything in this world.” “Even this….” SLASH!

A single horizontal slash swept forward.

The enormous poison sphere was instantly split into two halves.

The two section’s trajectory moved a little and both of them flew past Aron from both sides before crashing into the desert.

HISS!

HISS!

The ground on both sides melted with a clear hissing sound, but not a single drop touched his clothes.

Everyone saw it happen and felt dumbfounded but the slash still didn’t disappear…

It continued forward.

The giant centipede’s eyes widened.

Before its hundred-meter-long body could react…

the sword wave struck it directly.

SHHHHK!

A perfectly straight line appeared across its body.

Then…

SCREEEEEEEEEEECH!!

A miserable scream echoed throughout the wasteland.

The scream was so loud that everyone’s ears rang for a moment…

BOOM!

BOOM!

The giant centipede’s body split cleanly into two pieces.

The severed halves crashed onto the desert floor from opposite directions, sending massive clouds of sand into the air.

The shockwave alone made the ground beneath everyone’s feet tremble.

Absolute silence swept over the area.

Everyone stared at the young man still standing in front of the dead, giant centipede.

Lisa’s eyes never left his figure for a single moment…

From the moment Aron started speaking until now, she had watched every movement he made.

That simple horizontal slash had shaken her to the core.

Her heartbeat quickened.

Without her noticing, a small figure suddenly appeared on her shoulder.

It was her Assistant.

The Little Sword Master.

The tiny swordsman stared at Aron for a few moments before slowly nodding in appreciation.

Even it seemed impressed by that swordmanship just now.

Lisa’s lips parted slightly.

Her shining eyes remained fixed on Aron.

A single word escaped her mouth.

“Cool…” For the first time in her life, she realized that true swordsmanship could be this beautiful.

Even the others nodded and said together, “True!” The giant centipede twitched a little before it completely became motionless.

Aron returned to the group after storing the giant centipede’s corpse inside his System Space.

Only his System Space was large enough to accommodate such an enormous monster.

He chuckled as he looked at Lisa and the others.

“So, Lisa…” “You saw that, right?” “That’s how a sword should be used.” Lisa immediately nodded her head.

Her eyes were still shining with excitement.

“Aron!

I learned a lot just from watching that attack.” “Please teach me more.” Suddenly, Aron’s gaze landed on the Little Sword Master sitting on her shoulder.

He pointed at it and chuckled, “Why don’t you ask him to teach you?” Lisa blinked.

Only then did she notice the tiny swordsman.

“When did you appear?” The Little Sword Master snorted.

“Hmph!

None of your business.” Then it turned its gaze toward Aron.

Its eyes became cold.

It tried to inspect him, but no matter what it did, it couldn’t see a single piece of information.

The Little Sword Master frowned.

At the same time, it noticed the little skeleton sitting proudly on Aron’s shoulder.

The skeleton was grinning mockingly.

Long ago, it had already used its power to block all information related to Aron.

Now, none of the other Assistants could view anything about its master.

Realizing it couldn’t see anything, the Little Sword Master clicked its tongue.

Then it looked at Aron and said, “I don’t know what your Assistant has told you about her.” “But be careful.” “Don’t reveal anything to her yet.” Lisa and the others were immediately dumbfounded.

What did that mean?

Did Aron know something about Lisa that even she herself didn’t know?

Aron, however, simply smiled.

A teasing expression appeared on his face.

“So what if I tell her?” “Or don’t tell her?” “Why is that your concern?” “If it’s so important, why don’t you tell her yourself?” The Little Sword Master’s expression stiffened.

For a moment, it remained silent…

Then it turned toward Lisa, its voice softened slightly.

“Don’t believe everything he says.” “But make sure you learn what he teaches.” “That will benefit you far more than anything I can tell you right now.” After saying those words, it glanced at Aron one last time.

Then…

Poof!

Its tiny body disappeared completely.

Lisa stood there in confusion, still dumbfounded.

The others weren’t much better either.

Everyone felt as if some secret conversation had just taken place right in front of them, yet they were the only ones who didn’t understand anything.

Meanwhile, the little skeleton sitting on Aron’s shoulder crossed its arms proudly.

“Hmph.” “At least that sword brat knows his place.” Aron could only shake his head helplessly.

Sometimes, he felt that the Assistants were even stranger than humans themselves.
