Wеn Zhi was still in the bасk cаbin, so hе соuld onlу wаit.

When thе рlаnе аrrivеd in Jiаngchеng and аll thе passengers hаd disembаrked, Мо Тingjuе waited bу the eхit. Аs sооn as Wеn Zhi emеrged, he immеdiаtеlу stеpрed forward, grаbbеd hеr wrist, аnd using his рhysical аdvаntаge, рulled hеr toward а nеаrbу wall.

Wen Zhi rаisеd her hand аnd shook him оff. “Whаt аrе yоu dоing!”

Mo Tingjue blocked hеr pаth bасk, lоwеring his voiсe. “Xiaо Zhi, if yоu reаlly dоn’t want me following you every day, just give me five minutes, okay?”

Wen Zhi stared at him coldly.

Seeing she wasn’t trying to leave again, Mo Tingjue quickly said, “Who gave you this necklace? Is there really a rich second-generation chasing you?”

Wen Zhi glanced sideways and scoffed. “What if there is? What does it have to do with you?”

“Xiao Zhi, please don’t like him, okay? There are some things I didn’t want to bring up again, but I really don’t want to lose you, so I have to mention it. Do you remember? When you were a kid and someone splashed chili water in your eyes, I was the one who helped you.”

Bringing this up still made Mo Tingjue feel somewhat guilty, but to win Wen Zhi back, he couldn’t care less. After all, the truth from back then wouldn’t really come to light…

Wen Zhi pushed away his grasp and said bluntly, “Mo Tingjue, you don’t need to hold a favor over me. It’s true you helped me back then, and I was grateful, which is why, out of all my suitors, I gave you a chance. But it’s also true that you slept with the person who hurt me. You betrayed me—why should I forgive you? It’s impossible, absolutely impossible in this lifetime.”

After saying this, Wen Zhi didn’t bother with another word. She simply walked around him and strode away, leaving Mo Tingjue standing there, watching her retreating figure with growing frustration.

Who on earth had managed to win Wen Zhi’s heart in such a short time, making her so ruthless toward him?

He would definitely find out who that bastard was and win Wen Zhi back.

Just as he was seething with anger, a mocking laugh suddenly came from behind him.

Mo Tingjue turned abruptly to see Mo Tingyan approaching with disdain in his eyes.

He said coldly, displeased, “What are you laughing at?”

Mo Tingyan didn’t hide his contempt. “Your high-and-mighty mother would be thrilled to know her precious son is begging a woman for forgiveness like a dog… That would be quite a sight.”

Mo Tingjue’s face darkened. “Shut up. No wonder my mother says you’re an ungrateful wretch. It’s true…”

Remembering that Mo Tingyan worked in the same unit as Wen Zhi, Mo Tingjue added, “And let me tell you, Mo Tingyan, Wen Zhi is mine. Stay away from her and stop eyeing her. She would never choose a despised illegitimate son like you to spend her life with.”

Mo Tingyan wasn’t angered. Instead, he sneered sarcastically. “Oh? Are you so sure?” With that, he also strode away with a mocking smile.

Mo Tingjue clenched his fists tightly. He would never lose to this detestable man.

As soon as Wen Zhi returned home, she hurried into her room and set up the live-streaming stand by the desk.

Mo Tingyan followed her in, wrapping his arms around her slender waist from behind. His warm, moist lips casually brushed against her neck as his voice whispered softly in her ear, “Let’s go to the bedroom…”Wen Zhi let out a soft sigh and quickly slipped out of his embrace before her thoughts could become too scattered by his teasing. Turning back, she looked at him seriously and said, “Mo Tingyan, don’t cause trouble. I have a live stream tonight.”

Mo Tingyan was not about to give up. Leaning forward, he kissed the tip of her nose and said affectionately, “We can make it quick. You can start your live stream after we’re done.”

But Wen Zhi flatly refused, “No! Stop messing around. My follower count and streaming income have both dropped these past few days. Even though I don’t earn much from this industry, we still have a mortgage to pay. Every little bit helps with the household expenses. Now, please be quiet and leave.”

As she spoke, she moved behind Mo Tingyan and pushed him out of the room. To prevent a repeat of the last time he barged in and caused chaos, she locked the door from the inside.

Mo Tingyan stood outside the door, speechless.

Bored, he walked over to the sofa, picked up his phone, and anonymously entered Wen Zhi’s live stream.

A thoughtful glint flashed in Mo Tingyan’s eyes as he opened the tipping interface—

An hour and a half later, the door to Wen Zhi’s room finally opened!

Mo Tingyan was sitting on the sofa watching TV when he saw her jog over and sit down beside him. Her voice carried a barely contained excitement, “Mo Tingyan, I struck it rich tonight! A top tipper showed up in my stream and showered me with a hundred ‘Carnival’ gifts. I did a quick calculation, and I’ll get about a hundred thousand yuan from it…”

Mo Tingyan studied her for a moment and asked, “A hundred ‘Carnival’ gifts must be expensive, right? And you only get a hundred thousand?”

“For a small streamer like me, a hundred thousand in tips is already a fortune. I’m more than satisfied.”

Seeing Wen Zhi’s cheerful expression, Mo Tingyan’s own expression softened. Feigning curiosity, he asked, “You don’t even show your face. Why would someone tip you so much? Did they make any weird demands?”

“They did make a request, but it wasn’t weird. They just asked me to read to them in a Lolita voice for five minutes.”

“So, you did it?”

Wen Zhi looked completely unfazed. “It’s a normal request. I often read to my fans anyway. Besides, that person was my benefactor tonight.”

A hundred thousand in tips was equivalent to a year’s salary for her.

Mo Tingyan fell silent.

The sudden promotion in seniority caught him off guard.

“What if someone who tipped you that much really made a weird demand? Like this…” As he spoke, he naturally hooked an arm around her shoulder, pressed her onto his lap, leaned down, and captured her lips, seeking the sweetness of her tongue…

Wen Zhi struggled for a while before finally pushing his shoulder away. He hadn’t even taken a shower yet, and he was already like this…

She quickly stood up from beside Mo Tingyan and shot him a glare. “You think everyone is as shameless as you, always acting so improper? I’m not going to talk to you anymore. I’m tired and need to take a shower and get ready for bed.”

As she spoke, she headed back to her room.

Watching the opportunity slip away, Mo Tingyan shook his head and chuckled softly. Why was it that when her streaming popularity dropped, he couldn’t get any affection, and now that her streaming performance improved, he still couldn’t get any?

Being the top tipper… really felt like a bit of a sucker’s role.

After Wen Zhi returned to her room and finished her shower, she noticed the notification light on her phone blinking. With light steps, she walked over, picked up her phone, and opened it.

But the moment she saw the content of the message, her previously cheerful expression instantly turned cold and serious!

It was a photo sent to her by Xu Purser—The image captured her and Mo Tingyan entangled in a passionate embrace on the staircase!
