Su Wanqing felt her throat tighten. His hand was cold. Even though it was gripping her neck, it felt more like he was clutching her heart. As long as he used a little force, her heart would be crushed by him.
“I… I… will not apologize. If you have the guts… then choke me to death.”
Su Wanqing lifted her chin, closed her eyes, and a tear slid down from the corner of her eye.
“You really think I wouldn’t dare?”
Jian Ou tightened his grip. Su Wanqing only felt that her heart hurt far more than her throat.
“Are you freaking sick?! Let go—let her go!”
Si Tu Jin rushed forward. The violent collision forced Jian Ou to step back two steps, and Su Wanqing’s body went limp as she fell downward.
“Wanqing.”
Si Tu Jin quickly caught her, letting her softly fall into his arms.
With Si Tu Jin supporting her, Su Wanqing slowly stood up.
Actually, Jian Ou hadn’t used much strength, but her heart had already been torn into pieces by him.
“Jian Ou, just you wait. Treating Wanqing like this—I’ll make you regret it!”
Si Tu Jin tightly protected Su Wanqing and walked step by step toward the private room. Perhaps because he shielded her too closely, this time Jian Ou only stood there blankly watching them leave. Aside from the frost in his eyes, there seemed to be something else flashing across them.
Inside the private room, Si Tu Jin helped Su Wanqing sit down.
Suddenly, Si Tu Jin lost his temper. He stood up abruptly and glared at Su Wanqing.
“Su Wanqing, do you even treat me as a friend? What exactly happened back then? You left in such a hurry. It’s been three years. You finally came back, yet you hid alone in this godforsaken place. If I hadn’t been keeping an eye on Jian Ou’s movements, I wouldn’t have found you at all.”
“And that Jian Ou — how could he treat you like that? What exactly happened between you two?”
So he had followed Jian Ou to find her.
Su Wanqing’s eyes reddened. She and Si Tu Jin had known each other since childhood. If Jian Ou hadn’t broken her heart three years ago, she wouldn’t have suddenly fled overseas and cut off contact with him.
She originally thought their friendship would end like that. She never expected he still remembered — and even kept track of Jian Ou’s movements.
“Why are you keeping an eye on him? I have nothing to do with him anymore.”
Su Wanqing lowered her head, her voice slightly hoarse. She squeezed her eyes shut, holding back her tears.
“You broke up? I knew it. I knew your going abroad must have something to do with him. Did he cheat? I never liked him anyway. A man like him—one face in public, another behind your back. He must have done something to hurt you, right? Wanqing, don’t worry. This young master will help you teach him a lesson.”
Without another word, Si Tu Jin turned around, not giving Su Wanqing any chance to speak.
“W-wait, what are you going to do?”
Su Wanqing hurriedly tried to pull him back. She only knew she absolutely couldn’t let him do anything reckless.
“I’m going to teach that heartless bastard a lesson! Wanqing, don’t stop me. If I don’t beat him up today, my name isn’t Si Tu Jin!”
“That’s enough. Don’t go. I don’t want to see him again!”
Su Wanqing forcefully shook off Si Tu Jin’s arm and dropped heavily into the chair. Because of anger and grievance, her cheeks puffed up.
Her reaction stunned Si Tu Jin. After a moment, he softened and awkwardly sat across from her.
“Alright, alright, I won’t go. But you have to tell me what really happened, right?”
Because she left so suddenly back then, Su Wanqing never had the chance to explain anything to Si Tu Jin. Hearing him bring it up again, her eyes filled with tears once more.
“A Jin, don’t ask. I don’t want to recall what happened back then. Every time I remember it, the wound that just scabbed over gets torn open again. The calm I finally achieved gets stirred up. So…”
Her voice choked. Su Wanqing lowered her head, tears dropping one by one onto the table.
Only in front of Si Tu Jin did she dare cry so freely. Thinking of the man she loved for three years and hated for three years, her heart twisted in pain again.
After this commotion, there was no mood left for eating. After seeing Si Tu Jin off, Su Wanqing returned to the small place she rented.
Just as she entered the corridor, a shadow blocked her path.
The shadow stepped forward quickly, trapping Su Wanqing between his arms and the wall.
Just as Su Wanqing was about to scream, the man’s lips suddenly pressed against hers.
Her scream was swallowed into his mouth.
A familiar scent filled her nose. It was him — Jian Ou.
Su Wanqing struggled, trying to push Jian Ou away, but her strength was nothing compared to his.
Jian Ou breathed heavily, pressing his entire lower body against her to restrain her. She couldn’t push him away and could only struggle, trying to avoid his domineering kiss.
Gradually, Su Wanqing sensed something wrong.
Something hard was pressed tightly against her lower abdomen.
“Bang—” Something exploded in Su Wanqing’s mind.
She panicked and cursed loudly, “Jian Ou, you bastard!”
Jian Ou’s gaze darkened, his tone mocking. “You can accompany other men, but I, your ex-boyfriend, can’t have a taste?”
Su Wanqing’s eyes turned red, tears filling them. “You jerk! What else do you want? Do you have to push me to death before you’re satisfied?”
