Suddenly, He Yingtong’s voice came from outside the door. She screamed and rushed over,

“Wei Jiyuan, I f*ck your ancestors!”

She had something in her hand and smashed it heavily against the back of Wei Jiyuan’s head.Full novel: COHABITATION (1v1) H — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Wei Jiyuan let go of Jiang Wan, stood up covering the back of his head, glanced at He Yingtong, then staggered and collapsed onto the ground, fainting. Blood gushed out from the back of his head.

Jiang Wan was crying, her face covered in tears. She clutched at her torn clothes, her whole body trembling, her voice still shaking, “Yingtong…”

He Yingtong checked his breathing. Seeing that he was still breathing, she collapsed onto the ground herself. She looked at Jiang Wan and asked, “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine…” Jiang Wan tried to get out of bed, but her legs gave way and she stumbled. Her whole body shook violently, and her voice trembled as she spoke,

“He said you were here… that I had to come and… say it clearly in person, that’s why I… came over.”

He Yingtong

“D*mn it, it’s me who wronged you.”

She pulled out her phone, dialed 120, and reported the address. Afterward, her fingers trembling slightly, she took out a cigarette and lit it. Taking a drag, she said to Jiang Wan,

“He was drunk. Jiang Wan, for my sake, don’t tell anyone.”

Tears slid blankly from the corners of Jiang Wan’s eyes. She looked at He Yingtong, her voice airy and light, like it was drifting in the wind,

“Who… can I even tell?”

He Yingtong crushed the cigarette,

“F*ck!”

She lifted her head, her bloodshot eyes staring at Jiang Wan,

“Consider me owing you, Jiang Wan. If you still think of me as a friend, call me whenever you need anything. If you don’t think of me as a friend anymore, I’ll accept it. Just go.” Find the original chapter at novelpin‌g.com.

With trembling hands, Jiang Wan straightened her clothes. She wiped the tears from her face and left without looking back.

Her legs were still weak as she walked down the stairs.

When she got into a cab and finally returned home, she tried inserting the key several times but couldn’t open the door. In the end, she had to press down her trembling hand with the other before she could finally unlock it.

The living room was pitch dark, except for the cold, white light spilling out from the open fridge door.

Wen Jin was sitting in front of the refrigerator, head lowered, playing chess.

Jiang Wan didn’t turn on the lights either. Like a wandering soul, she went straight into the bathroom, locked the door, undressed, and stepped under the shower. She turned on the hot water, and under the sound of the rushing spray, she let herself cry in muffled sobs.

She was terrified. She couldn’t even imagine—if He Yingtong hadn’t come back, would she have been… forced by Wei Jiyuan?

Fear and panic overwhelmed her, and she cried uncontrollably. For the first time, she realized her weakness and helplessness as a woman. If not for He Yingtong, she might have already been…

She bit hard on her fingers, tears falling in heavy drops.

She didn’t know how long had passed before there was a knock on the bathroom door. Wen Jin’s voice came from outside,

“You’ve been in there for an hour. Give me ten minutes, I need to use the bathroom.”

Jiang Wan hadn’t brought a change of clothes before coming in. She wasn’t about to wear the dirty clothes on the floor again. So she could only wrap herself in a pure white bath towel before unlocking the door.

Wen Jin’s gaze fell on her.

Jiang Wan’s eyes were red from crying. A few glistening droplets of water still clung to her pale shoulders. Her head was lowered, and her body was still trembling slightly.

“That’s mine,” Wen Jin said, staring at the bath towel on her.

“I know.” Jiang Wan’s voice carried a bit of nasal tone from crying,

“…I’ll wash it and return it to you tomorrow.”

“No.” Wen Jin’s face was expressionless.

“Then what, you want me to strip naked?!” Jiang Wan broke down and sobbed loudly,

“If I’m naked will you be satisfied?! Then you strip naked too, and tell me you’re turned on by me, is that what you want?! Are you a pervert?!”
