Su Yi focused her gaze and saw a massive supermarket. It was fully stocked with vegetables, meats, snacks, and daily necessities—everything a proper supermarket ought to have.
She walked up to the other floors and discovered that this was an entire shopping mall. Aside from the basement level which housed the supermarket, the other floors were packed with all kinds of supplies: clothes, shoes, cosmetics, electronics, accessories, toys, gourmet food… there were even cars.
Su Yi walked and looked around. This is a pocket dimension, right?
“They’re all mine! Hehehe! Hey there, my little babies, here I come!” She stepped into a designer bag boutique, picked up a bag, and gave it a kiss. This was something she usually could only dream of; it would easily cost several thousand yuan.
After indulging in a moment of awe, Su Yi tried to see if she could push open the mall’s main doors. To her surprise, she put a bit too much force into it, lost her balance, and stumbled right through.
Outside, she saw a bubbling, gurgling pool of water and a vast expanse of open land.
Suddenly, a cat darted out. A fat, golden ball of fluff shot straight into Su Yi’s arms.
“Finally, someone is here. Hello, human~”
A soft, sweet, toddler-like voice emanated from the cat’s body.
“Hello! Hello! Mimi, is this a spiritual spring? Are you the guardian here?” Su Yi asked excitedly, cradling the cat.
“Yes, indeed~ I’ve been here for a very long time. This is the Spiritual Spring Dimension, and it can even be upgraded! Though, I don’t know how to upgrade it. You’ll have to figure that out yourself~” Mimi told Su Yi everything it knew.
Hearing this, Su Yi set the cat down, walked over to the edge of the spiritual spring, scooped up a handful of water, and drank it. The spring water was exceptionally sweet and refreshing. The moment she swallowed it, she felt her entire body relax and become incredibly comfortable.
She quickly rolled up her pant leg and splashed a handful of the spiritual spring water onto her wound. Sure enough, it healed in the blink of an eye.
This means I can finally get thin and beautiful too! Having stayed up late for years, her endocrine system was a mess, making it incredibly hard for her to lose weight. The spiritual spring would definitely get her health back on track.
“Mimi, can the items in the mall restock themselves? Is there constant temperature preservation? Can I use my mind to directly select and retrieve things? And can you come outside with me in a bit?” Su Yi asked urgently. If these things were possible, a huge weight would be lifted from her chest.
If all of this worked, her future supplies and safety would be guaranteed, and she would even have a companion.
“Of course you can~” Mimi said proudly.
“Then let’s go out!” With her questions answered, Su Yi instantly beamed with joy.
With a single thought, the girl and the cat instantly appeared beneath the tree.
“Mimi, you can’t run off wildly, okay? Don’t make me look all over for you. My name is Su Yi, you can call me Yiyi or Big Sister~”
“Big Sister~ My combat power is super strong! No matter where I am, if you call me, I’ll hear you~”
“That’s wonderful!”
Once Su Yi finished speaking, she pulled a wooden basket out of her dimension, picked up the wild fruits from the ground, and put them inside. She couldn’t lose these; she had spent a great deal of effort picking them.
After gathering the fruits, she stored the basket back into the dimension and carried Mimi back toward her dilapidated little hut, feeling completely light on her feet.
Though the dimension was huge, it lacked a place to live. She would have to build a house on the empty plot of land inside another day, making it convenient to rest in the dimension later on.
For now, she still needed to live in the outside world because she had to survive in this environment. Sneaking away and hiding in the dimension might provide a temporary haven, but it wasn’t a long-term solution. Since she had come to this world, she needed to integrate and work hard to strike it rich—even though she didn’t have a single copper coin to her name right now.
But as a modern person, making a fortune in ancient times should be a piece of cake! Not to mention she had a spiritual spring dimension backing her up.
The more Su Yi thought about it, the more feasible her plan seemed.
Back at the dilapidated hut, Su Yi took out all the things she needed to furnish the place. Even though they were all modern items, no one was around to see them, so it didn’t matter. Su Yi felt completely at ease.
By the time she finished organizing her things, her stomach was growling again. With a thought, several dishes appeared on her folding table. They were taken from the restaurants in the mall; every eatery inside had pre-prepared dishes, so she just had to pick what she liked to eat.
Sitting on a small stool and eating her meal, Su Yi pondered her next steps: I need to venture out to find out what dynasty this is, where exactly I am, and how far I am from the towns. If I want to make money, I have to step out. I also need to explore the mountains; maybe I can find some valuable things. Although there are plenty of supplies in the dimension, they are too modern, and not many can be openly sold. Now that I have the dimension, if I encounter danger, I have a place to hide. I have no worries holding me back.
Su Yi finished her food unhurriedly, having pretty much mapped out her major life plans.
“Mimi, let’s rest for a bit. We’ll go out for a stroll after we wake up.”
Cradling Mimi, she walked over to her small earthen kang bed. The small bed had undergone a transformation; the old thatch had gloriously retired, and Su Yi had laid down a thick quilt as a mattress. It was already clean and tidy.
Looking at her clean bed and then at her dirty self, she quickly entered the dimension, fetched a large basin, and took a bath using the spiritual spring water.
After her bath, she noticed her skin had improved significantly, and the blemishes on her body had almost vanished. She slathered the outrageously expensive bottles and jars from the cosmetics counter onto her face and body without a hint of heartache. She was just too rich!
Finally, feeling refreshed all over and smelling fragrant, she lay down on her small bed. Her state of mind and her circumstances felt entirely different now because of the dimension’s arrival—it had given her the confidence she needed.
Before long, Su Yi fell fast asleep holding Mimi.
With Mimi around to wake her up at any moment, she didn’t have to worry about safety. She slept like a log and woke up naturally.
When Su Yi opened her eyes, she noticed the light was a bit dim. Was it getting dark?
“You’re finally awake~ I already went out for a stroll and came back~ It’s almost dark~” Mimi said unhappily.
“I was just too tired. Tomorrow, we will definitely go out. The two of us will go treasure hunting and make some sweet money together!” Su Yi told Mimi her plans for tomorrow with a face full of determination.
“Alright then~”
With the two of them in agreement, Su Yi decided to go to the river to fetch a bucket of water to wash vegetables and clothes; there was no need to waste spiritual spring water on those tasks.
Looking at the rugged, uneven path, Su Yi decided she would need to clean it up properly. The path was blocked by weeds of various sizes, forcing her to detour from time to time. However, lacking the proper tools, she could only put that task on hold.
Arriving at the riverbank, she pulled out a bucket, filled it up in an instant, and carried it back, staggering along the way. There was no helping it; the path was terrible, and she couldn’t even use a small cart.
“Ah—it’s so heavy—exhausting! But this is perfect. I can use this to exercise. Combined with the spiritual spring water, I’ll turn into a mega-beauty in no time!” The more Su Yi spoke, the happier and more expectant she became.
“Mm-hmm~ You definitely will~” Mimi agreed completely, even nodding its head.
Su Yi checked her little den. There was no need to add or tidy anything else; it was fully equipped and spotless.
The sky had already turned dark, which meant it was time for dinner.
She decided to cook for herself. She grabbed a packet of Luosifen (river snail rice noodles) and some side dishes, then leisurely selected some snacks from the snack aisle, planning to enjoy them slowly in her little den later.
Once she made her choices, she flashed back into her hut.
To light the fire, she could now use a lighter, and the firewood was, of course, the gloriously retired thatch. After a fierce and deft flurry of movements, a large, exquisite bowl of Luosifen was soon placed on the small table.
“Mmm—this is the exact smell!”
Su Yi took a huge slurp of the noodles. It was incredibly fragrant.
She began to scarf it down fiercely, and the bowl hit bottom in no time.
After eating, she quickly cleaned up, lay back down on the bed, and began to stare at the ceiling, contemplating life.
