Su Yi set up a table and chairs on the open ground inside her space. She placed a dish of poached sliced pork in chili oil (shui zhu rou pian) and stir-fried shredded potatoes on the table, pairing them with white rice and a can of cola. With meat, veggies, and a drink, the spread looked absolutely fantastic!

Taking a bite of the pork with some rice, the flavor was incredible. “This is exactly the taste!” Su Yi ate with a face full of pure satisfaction.

Mimi was eating its food right beside her, a golden ball of fluff nudging along the ground, looking incredibly cute.Full novel: Corporate Slave Transmigrates to Ancient Times: Starts with a Broken House, Ends Up a Big Shot — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Mine tastes delicious too~”

“Yup, both of our meals are pretty great!”

After finishing her lunch, Su Yi lay back on the chair to rest for a while, feeling completely at ease.

Half an hour later, Su Yi filled a thermos with spiritual spring water, teleported out of her space, and rode her electric scooter all the way back to her little nest, successfully avoiding everyone.

With a simple thought, Su Yi restored the room to its original state. Then, she lay on the heated brick bed (kang) and began pondering her next steps.

“I should still head deeper into the mountains to check things out! Who knows, I might dig up some ginseng or lingzhi reishi mushrooms! Making more money is always a good thing. I can renovate this house, fence in a yard, and make it a bit safer! It can also provide the starting capital for building my fortune later on. Plus, with the space now, I don’t have to worry about running into wild beasts at all. Safety is fully guaranteed.”

Having made up her mind, Su Yi packed up her things and set off toward the depths of the mountain forest.

Su Yi walked leisurely along the mountain path. Though called a path, it was actually quite rough and difficult to traverse.

Seeing the terrain, Su Yi ducked into her space to change into a set of outdoor gear, wrapping herself up tightly to prevent scratches from branches and insect bites. Holding a trekking pole, she forged ahead.

Suddenly, something darted right in front of Su Yi. It turned out to be a big, clumsy gray rabbit. Su Yi lunged forward, grabbed it by the ears, and caught it.

“Fantastic! What a big, clumsy rabbit. I’m so lucky! It just so happens that there are no rabbits in my space. I can have rabbit meat now! The only thing is, I’m a bit afraid to slaughter it. What should I do?”

“No big deal. I need to be brave enough to break through my limits and overcome difficulties!” After speaking to herself, Su Yi popped the rabbit into her space and continued walking forward.

Su Yi looked around her. The deep forest felt exceptionally silent, with only the occasional sound of birds chirping. Feeling a tiny bit scared, she plucked Mimi out of the space and held the cat in her arms, instantly feeling at peace.

“Mimi, what other good things do you think we’ll run into?”

“Whatever you want, you will have~” a soft, milky voice sounded by her ear.

“I hope so. May the Goddess of Luck smile upon me!”

Su Yi picked a random direction and walked forward. Whenever she spotted dry firewood, she gathered it along the way to store for future campfires, accumulating a large pile in no time.

Carrying it herself was out of the question; with her space available, she could toss things inside whenever she wanted, which was incredibly convenient. She was in no rush, enjoying an exceptionally relaxed journey that felt more like a sightseeing trip. Wearing comfortable sneakers, her feet didn’t feel tired at all.

Suddenly, Su Yi focused her gaze ahead—it was ginseng! She had only ever seen this thing on television, and it looked exactly the same. Fortunately, out of curiosity, she had once watched a video detailing the entire process of harvesting wild ginseng. Now, she could only copy what she remembered step by step.

Su Yi pulled out a hoe and took a few rough swings before switching to digging with her bare hands. As she dug, she accidentally snapped a rootlet, which broke her heart.

“Mimi, what should I do? Do you have any good ideas? Digging it up like this is such a waste.”

“You can just teleport it directly into the space~ anywhere in the soil or on the ground is fine~”

“Why didn’t you say so earlier? Did I dig all this way for nothing?”

“I thought you wanted to dig it up yourself~”

Su Yi was utterly speechless. But it didn’t matter; now she knew for the future. It looked like she still needed to properly study her space and thoroughly organize it.

With a single thought, she transplanted the ginseng onto an open plot of land inside the space and watered it with spiritual spring water. The ginseng began to grow at a pace visible to the naked eye. Su Yi nodded in approval; it seemed this soil was highly suitable for cultivation, meaning she could plant all kinds of excellent things here in the future!

Su Yi exited the space to double-check the spot where she had found the ginseng. Seeing that no remaining roots had been missed, she could only move forward with a tinge of regret. Looking at the sky, she realized it was getting late, and the sun was beginning to set. However, she wasn’t worried at all. She even felt a bit playful, wanting to find a cave to spend the night just like in novels and TV shows.

Su Yi disliked procrastinating and possessed strong action-taking skills; if she said she was going to look for one, she looked. She began drawing closer to the mountain slope, walking and stopping along the way. She actually managed to find a small cave, but it wasn’t very clean and showed signs of animal inhabitation. She decisively gave it up—this was too dangerous for her. If a wild beast came in while she was fast asleep, what if she couldn’t dodge in time?

By this time, the sun had completely set, and the sky was pitch black. The outside of the cave felt eerie, and a few low, growling noises echoed through the air.

Su Yi shuddered with fear and instantly teleported into her space.

The moment she entered the space, she began preparing for her dinner. Su Yi pondered what to eat. Slaughter the rabbit? Have spicy rabbit meat?

“Sigh! Forget it, I haven’t mentally prepared myself yet. Let’s wait a bit longer. Let’s go check out the restaurant area!”

Su Yi wandered around the restaurant tier and made up her mind: hot pot! With a thought, she teleported the hot pot equipment onto the open ground, but how was she going to start the fire?

“You can use a generator, a portable power station, or just eat directly in the restaurant area. You just need to flip the switch, there’s electricity~”

“That’s wonderful! Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”

“I only just found out myself~ right around the time you put that big rabbit and the ginseng inside~”

“Turns out you’re actually the user manual for this space! But it looks like the space needs to upgrade, and the rabbit and ginseng are the catalysts for it. It might require planting spiritual flora or raising animals. I’m just not sure if both work or if only one is required. I’ll figure it out slowly,” Su Yi said, letting out a sigh.

“Uh-huh~” Mimi replied cooperatively.

“Then let’s get the food ready! Let’s connect a portable power station. It’s more comfortable here. In the future, I want to transplant a few trees inside, plant some flowers, vegetables, fruits, and medicinal herbs!”

After speaking, Su Yi manifested a portable power station, plugged it in, and sat down to wait for her meal. The vegetables were all pre-washed, making it incredibly convenient. Before long, the pot came to a rolling boil.

It was a dual-flavor split pot (yuan yang pot). She had used spiritual spring water for the broth, and the boiled vegetables and meat turned out exceptionally fragrant—even the soup was so delicious her eyebrows could fly off from the flavor.

“Now this is living! I’m so satisfied!” Su Yi said happily as she took a bite of meat.

After finishing her dinner, Su Yi swiftly cleaned everything up and began her skincare routine. She washed away her fatigue with spiritual spring water and applied her expensive skincare products.

Looking at herself in the mirror, Su Yi realized she had undergone a massive transformation in just a few days. She was slimmer and fairer.

Looking at the number on the scale—ten pounds! She had been trying to lose weight for so many years, and this year, her wish had finally come true. She was so thrilled! So happy! Plus, she wasn’t bad-looking to begin with, and now her smile was becoming thoroughly charming. Su Yi believed she would definitely transform into a great beauty!

Su Yi prepared to sleep right on the open ground. She set up a makeshift bed, laid down a thick, plush duvet, and beautifully drifted off into a sweet dreamland. Sleeping inside the space, both her body and mind relaxed completely, without a single shred of worry.
