I shot Light Magic at the magic circle, but a massive and grotesque hand emerged from it and took the hit instead.Full novel: Crown of Ruin: The Final Boss Rewrites His Fate — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“You should at least give me time to introduce my children, shouldn’t you?” From the magic circle, a grotesque-looking spider, a bird with a withered body but giant wings, a giant that looked like it was covered in human skin holding a massive butcher knife, and a two-headed snake—all sorts of terribly-looking summoned beasts—popped out.

“Lancelot, can you handle the guy with the knife?” “Yeah, I’ll try.” Lancelot, looking serious, lost his smile and nodded.

A complete contrast to when he was looking for a bigger evil species.

Lancelot drew his sword and charged.

As the giant raised its knife high and swung down, Lancelot redirected the force with the flat of his blade, spun once, and sliced off the flesh of its leg.

Judging that it wouldn’t die from that, I glared at the narrow-eyed character.

The narrow-eyed character, watching with a snicker, said.

“As expected, you’re no ordinary people!

Ah, this is a reprimand from The Great One!

He desires even more high-quality blood!” I glared, disgusted by his crazy madness, The spider shot a spider web at me, and the grotesque bird fired feathers from its wings.

I snatched the incoming spider web out of the air and jumped back to dodge the feathers.

I threw the web at the bird, binding its wings and making it fall, then trapped the spider on all sides with Earth Magic and spammed Fire Magic on it.

Just then, my Mana Perception sensed the snake slithering up behind my right ankle, so I levitated each of its heads with my hands and ripped it in two.

As for the struggling bird, I shot a laser at its neck, disintegrating its body and head.

Leaving the torn and burnt corpses of the summoned beasts behind me, I looked ahead…

“Haha, my apologies for showing you such a state.

It seems I underestimated you.” …I expected there would be a Phase 2, but it seems he finished his transformation while I was fighting.

Spider legs had sprouted from his back, and pointed teeth were wriggling in his hideously opened abdomen.

I’ll admit, he’s a smart bastard.

I was planning to kill him the moment he transformed…

“Well then, shall we start again?” Spikes rained down on me from the spider legs.

I blocked the spikes with Telekinesis, but their speed was no joke.

Busy just blocking, I spun my Circles more fiercely.

My mind raced as I gathered magic power on the target.

I struggled to aim Explosion Magic at his head, but due to a lack of concentration, the explosion hit another spider leg joint instead.

Perhaps feeling a chill from the exploding leg, his snickering expression turned serious.

“An explosion in empty air?

Hahaha~ How did you do that!” “The Great One told me while licking my shoes.” At my provocation, a gleam finally appeared in the narrow-eyed character’s eyes.

“…Arrogant fellow.” “Impudent bastard.” Sizing each other up while gathering magic power, we simultaneously stretched out our hands.

From the narrow-eyed character’s hand, tentacles intertwined like vines and poured toward me.

To block it, I rammed physical force into my Light Magic and pushed forward.

If I used a Kamehameha, I’d be weak for a while…

but I really wanted to kill that guy.

The light poured out, illuminating the room, and I approached step by step, burning the tentacles.

I wanted to let out a cool kiai, but I felt like I’d lose my strength.

As I got close, the teeth on the narrow-eyed character’s abdomen opened wide as if to devour me, and I turned off the Light Magic and cast a spell with my right hand.

Magic power rotated at high speed, creating a storm, and finally formed a spherical shape.

“Die, you bastard!

Reincarnation, Regression, Transmigration!” Yeah, that “-hwan”…

…Isn’t that right?

If you fall into a fantasy world, don’t you want to try out a subculture technique you liked at least once?

While using Mana Control and throwing in various concepts, I came up with a roughly similar shape.

I shoved it into the grotesque maw that was trying to swallow my arm and detonated it.

My hand got ground up along with it, but seeing the hole blown through the narrow-eyed character’s stomach, I felt completely relieved.

“Kuoooargh!” The narrow-eyed character collapsed, vomiting blood with a hole in his gut.

The crazy bastard was still alive; I could see him squirming even with a hole in his stomach.

‘You’re for torture, you bastard.’ I’ll lock him up and use him for sensory play later.

I looked to the side and saw the cultists were mostly dealt with, and as for Lancelot, an aura flickered on his sword as he sliced through the massive giant’s neck, butcher knife and all.

‘Ooh, a growth event.’ All that was left was this suspicious black egg.

The altar was connected to the magic circle by writhing black blood vessels.

I tried to destroy the obviously ominous egg by shooting a laser at it, but it unexpectedly burst open easily.

“Taking something like this for research will only cause trouble…

huh?” As the egg crumbled, a yellow-haired fairy covered in something like sticky tar emerged.

Glimmering wings, a white dress, a somewhat mystical atmosphere.

I mean, it’s my first time seeing a fairy, should I rescue it first?

I shot a beam of light to get a better look, and the viscous liquid melted away.

As I increased the output, the liquid soon disappeared completely, and the fairy’s eyelids fluttered as it woke up.

“Uh…

hello?” The fairy, who had been staring at me with dazed eyes, glanced around and, upon seeing the narrow-eyed character, flew straight over the guy’s head.

“Hey!

That’s dirty!

Don’t!” I freaked out and shouted, afraid it might get hurt, but the fairy stretched out its hand with a furious expression, and a beam of light shot out with an immense light source, turning the narrow-eyed character’s head to ash.

“Uh…

my cultist dough…” The toy’s head turned to dust before my eyes, but the fairy looked like it had been through a lot, so I just let it go.

The fairy soon came flying back to me, toddling through the air.

“Feeling a bit better now?” Worried it might suddenly attack me too, I was tensing up and circulating my magic power, when it poked the blood flowing from my arm and mumbled with it in its mouth.

It didn’t answer, so I wondered if it couldn’t speak.

“Can you talk, by any chance?” As I was staring blankly at its absurd action, the fairy’s Adam’s apple bobbed with a gulp sound.

Then, a golden thread appeared between me and the fairy, flashed, and disappeared again.

The fairy flew back over, toddling, sat on my shoulder, nuzzled my neck a few times, and closed its eyes.

[Raise me.] “…Huh?” [I said, raise me.] The Imperial Prince of the Empire was forcibly chosen to be the fairy’s caretaker.
