Hello everyone, are there really people reading?
– chapter starts here –
Time flies by, while Silver just continued following his routine every day.
He no longer has to go to the forest every day, just every other day or so to catch some pheasant or rabbit to bring back for consumption.
He also goes to the beach sometimes to catch some crabs or lobsters and to do full-body training with swimming.
He also quit his job at old Sax’s library because he also did not need to go there every day.
While his daily schedule had become less, he is still busy because he filled it all up with extra training and practice.
He tries some things; he remembers much clearer when he is bored.
Like how he started a trend of picking scallops near the docks as the other kids copied him because they tasted good.
He also bought one solid trunk in the logging house as long as two meters.
He had it cut in half lengthwise.
Then he started shaving it smoothly.
It took a few days, but he did manage to make a surfboard just like how he remembered from watching the movie Surf’s Up in his previous life.
The other kids thought it was fun, so most of them followed suit too.
Some adults even started joining in the fun.
Time passed peacefully with few bumps in the road.
Now it was already a year after he awakened his memories of his previous life.
A few days ago, the hunter encountered another goblin deep into the forest, with some luck, just at the foot of the first mountain that anyone would pass by if they went to the forest deep enough.
The dog can already go with him there; it was already as large as an ordinary adult family dog.
He did not get an item drop, but he brought the magic stone home instead of selling it directly because the hunter wanted to show it to his wife and brag about being lucky.
As the dog somehow ate the magic stone that night.
The dog was incapacitated for 24 hours, which worried their family dearly.
They even brought it to the doctor and even asked old Sax if he knows of a solution.
No one has a solution, though, and the dog luckily survived and even became a magical beast.
It quickly grew even larger in the following days.
Many people congratulated the hunter for the good news; he even got someone to make a dog collar for it made from the hide of a boar they hunted.
Silver even gave a gift, a simple hide armor design for the dog that only covers its weakest parts, like the belly, the neck, and the head.
With a leather bag design that it can carry now that it is so big, like those horse saddlebags in his previous life, it is almost half an adult person’s height, and it is still growing, though much slower now.
Also…
Just a month ago, the school district came by to stock up on some supplies because it was nearby, but I did not go yet because I feel like I am still quite young and not yet fully prepared.
Well, it was mostly because I have been feeling like something is about to happen, and I feel like it would be better to be in a familiar place when it does.
Then something did happen.
– semi flashback –
Silver was meditating quietly on his bed when suddenly, he found himself in the middle of a calm body of water.
Floating over the water surface like it was nothing.
He tried looking at his body but did not find it no matter how he looked.
He tried thinking about what kind of situation he is currently in when an idea came to mind.
So he tried willing for things to change, and the surroundings changed quickly.
The whole place became a grassy plain like that default background picture on the old Windows computer setup.
Then he imagined a forest he was familiar with, and it came to be.
He imagined a clearing in the middle of the forest and a simple house with a second floor.
Now he confirmed that he is inside his consciousness space.
– back to the present –
He had been playing with his consciousness space all this time whenever he had free time and especially when meditating at night.
But only this time did he finally manage to achieve what he had wanted to do when he discovered that this was his mind space.
He finally managed to bring out his memories, though he could only bring out his memories manually, one by one.
‘Sigh…
It seems that this will be a huge project to do.
Oh well…
As long as I can have a mind palace in the end.
Every effort will be worth it.
Besides, I don’t have to do it in one go because I can’t.
I will just do it little by little, step by step,” Silver thought with determination and motivation.
Days quickly passed by as he allotted most of his time and effort to this endeavor.
Silver noticed that as he progressed in what he was doing, his senses and memory started to become much better than before, but he still continued his routine as before.
He had also thoroughly made the basic sword moves into a body reflex; he had even started having a sparring match with the old matron.
The old matron had nothing to teach him about the sword anymore; he only needed combat experience now, which was being filled by doing sparrings, so he thought of learning how to use a spear and a javelin.
The old matron does not know much about spears, but she knows about javelins because she liked using short javelins as throwing weapons before.
So Silver had to turn to Old Sax, as the old man said before that he used to use a spear.
“It only took three months! Damn! This is too overpowered, isn’t it?! I already completed my set goals in just three months!” Silver muttered to himself while sitting under a tree just after meditating.
