A new chapter is up.

Come in, get comfortable, and let’s see what kind of trouble waits this time ❤️ ✦ The next morning, inside Hephaestus’s office, an invisible gate suddenly appeared.

As a goddess, Hephaestus noticed it at once.Full novel: Danmachi: Gatebound — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Back already?” She leaned back in her chair and watched one human and one goddess appear in front of her.

Nolan was still the otherworlder she remembered.

Hestia, however, had changed into clothes that did not belong to this age at all.

Both of them looked bright, energized, and far too pleased with themselves.

“Looks like you had a pretty good haul.” Hephaestus whistled.

Yes.

These two had clearly come back ready.

“Heh.” Hestia scratched her head, a little embarrassed.

“Nolan’s country is actually pretty peaceful.

A little ridiculous, but peaceful.” After getting the weapons, Nolan and Hestia had gone home.

On the road back from the military camp, a pair of beautiful twins had appeared at the gate.

Then, at the roadside, a long-legged beauty in stockings and sharp professional clothes had tried to flirt from a car.

That sight had made Hestia feel as if they had mistaken her for something they could casually step over.

In her own world, her divine power was sealed, so she could do nothing when people tried to steal what was hers right in front of her.

But in Nolan’s world, with her divine power fully open, they still dared to seduce him?

Then she, a goddess, had no choice but to show them what divine possessiveness looked like.

Hephaestus raised an eyebrow.

She could tell her divine friend had enjoyed herself over there.

“So you are ready.” From Nolan’s expression, Hephaestus understood that he was prepared to enter the Dungeon.

“Ready.” Completely ready.

“Here.” Hephaestus walked to a furnace, took down a set of light armor, and handed it to Nolan.

“Light armor.

Custom-made.” “With your body, heavy armor would not suit your first trip into the Dungeon.” This gift counted as a goddess’s present.

She knew Nolan was cautious enough not to casually throw his life away underground, and light armor suited him very well.

“Thank you.” Nolan accepted it and put it on.

The light armor fit neatly over his clothes.

As for weapons, he already had more than enough of those.

“Let’s go.” Hestia pulled her child along, her face full of anticipation.

Now it was time to show off what he could do.

Once they stepped onto the street, the familiar medieval shape of the city appeared around Nolan again.

He looked at the environment, took a deep breath, and followed his goddess toward Babel Square.

Morning pedestrians had already begun filling the streets.

Many of them wore all kinds of equipment, and their features marked them as members of different races.

Mages, elves, beast people, dwarves, Pallums, and more passed through the city.

When they reached Babel Square, plenty of adventurers noticed a new child being sent off by a goddess.

Nolan looked more mature than the usual fresh-faced beginner, but if a god personally came to see him off, most people could still tell he was new.

“Nolan, be careful down there.” Hestia ignored the strange looks around them and waved him off.

“I will.” Nolan nodded.

He took a breath and walked toward the entrance.

The moment he stepped through, a Pallum carrying a large backpack approached him.

“Hey, young man.

Need a Supporter?” She had noticed at once that Nolan was new and asked if he needed help.

So this was the Dungeon’s first little test.

Nolan had not expected to be approached, but after looking her over, he asked, “What is the deepest floor you have reached?” He thought it through carefully.

He had the floor list Hephaestus had given him, but for a labyrinth city where the interior environment itself was abnormal, sometimes he needed a guide with fresh, practical knowledge.

“Me?” The Pallum had not expected him to ask that.

He looked experienced in a way most beginners did not.

“The fifth floor.” She counted on her fingers and gave the number.

The deepest she had reached was roughly the fifth floor.

“The fifth?” Nolan considered it.

Above the sixth floor, the Dungeon was still protected by Ouranos, god of the sky.

Large-scale monster surges did not appear there easily.

More importantly, once adventurers reached Level 1, their physical strength improved dramatically.

For a short time, they could move at a very fast marching pace.

“I can hire you.” “But the work may be troublesome.

Are you willing to accept the job?” Nolan made it clear that the job would be inconvenient.

“Really?” The Pallum had not expected this beginner to actually hire her.

How strange.

Still, she noticed that Nolan’s eyes were serious.

They did not carry the naive look of someone stepping below for the first time.

“I accept.” The work sounded troublesome, but this person seemed cautious.

He was not wary of her because she was a Pallum.

He only wanted her to accept that the job itself might be difficult.

Naturally, the Pallum agreed at once.

He was only a beginner.

What was there to be afraid of?

“Then let’s go.” Nolan gestured for her to follow.

“Yes.” The Pallum adjusted her backpack and hurried after him.

Their conversation, however, had not gone unnoticed.

The adventurers nearby watched with open mockery.

“A rookie hiring a Supporter already?

That is bold.” “Right?

Does he not know Supporters are only backpacks in a party?

A beginner who still needs a goddess to see him off, and he thinks a Supporter will help?” “What an idiot.” “Forget it.

He will be abandoned by that Supporter soon enough.” “I bet he uses her as monster bait.” “Hahaha.” Several adult adventurers laughed with obvious malice.

This newcomer had just reached the Dungeon and already dared to hire a Supporter.

He probably did not even know how death was spelled.

The Pallum heard them and nervously lifted her head to watch Nolan’s expression.

She realized he was not looking at her because of their ridicule.

He was still walking calmly toward the lower levels.

Nolan seemed to notice her hesitation.

“What?

Changed your mind?” He paused and asked.

“No.

I am willing.

I am.” The Pallum saw that he did not care about those voices at all.

She did not know what to say, but if he was hiring her, then he was truly hiring her.

She quickened her pace and followed him.

Together, they entered the first floor with the flow of the crowd.
