The Uzumaki banged his head against the door. In silence, he walked through his living room and sat down on a couch. Beside him was Kurama, who was looking out the window, watching as the ship took off and disappeared among the clouds. Sighing, the Bijuu sat down again and looked at his friend.

"That brat reminds me a lot of you... She wants to save everyone," the tailed beast said simply as he stared into space. "You two are actually very similar. Both of you are blockheads who want to protect everyone. You wanted to become Hokage to protect your village, while she wants to become a hero to save anyone who needs help," he said calmly as he lazily moved his tail.

"She's still too innocent. I just want to stop her from wasting her life on a meaningless job."Full novel: DC: Hokage In The Justice League — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Yeah, those idiots in tights consider themselves heroes, but they only do what they think is right," the beast said wisely as he looked at his companion, who only let out a dry laugh.

"Yeah, defeating the 'villain,' then locking him up, only to fight him again if he escapes. It's all like the bad beginning of a bad joke. That's not being a hero," he said somewhat bitterly. Clasping his hands, he remained seated in the darkness of his home. Surely, his daughter would never return now. She had already chosen her path, and all he could do was wish her the best.

"This isn't the Elemental Nations. Apparently, this is just how this world works," the Bijuu said before jumping up to a window and simply leaving.

"..." Breathing heavily, the Uzumaki stood up. "I didn't come to this world to get involved in these meaningless fights..." Without saying anything more, he left the house. Why did everything have to be so difficult?

…………

"No offense, Mito, but your father is an idiot," Kid Flash said. He was still hurting and had an ice pack on his head. All the young heroes were inside the ship. It was a hard blow to be defeated by a single person who had beaten them as if it were just a game.

"Dude! You didn't have to say that," Robin scolded him before letting out a tired sigh.

"No, it's okay... It's just that sometimes he exaggerates things," Mito said with a frown as she sat beside Artemis. "But he surprised me... I've never seen him fight before. Whenever we trained together, he was always on the defensive or just used one of his restraining jutsu to defeat me," she added, this time in a thoughtful tone.

"He was strong... Very strong," Superboy said this time, clenching his hands tightly. It was humiliating to be defeated so easily. The words of Superman's clone made the young heroes think. As for Diana, she continued piloting the ship in silence. She was still somewhat shaken by the disappointed look her sensei had given her.

"I've never heard of him before. And why does he live on Paradise Island? I thought only Amazons could live there," Artemis said as she looked at her broken bow with disappointment. Growling, she threw it down beside her. She would have to get another one. Meanwhile, as everyone continued thinking about the person who had defeated them, we see a thoughtful Robin checking the computer on his wrist.

"It's strange. He doesn't appear in any of my files, not even those of the Justice League. He's a ghost," the teenager said as he turned off the screen on his wrist. He would have to report this to Batman when he got the chance.

"Why isn't he part of the League?" Aqualad asked in surprise, looking at Wonder Woman, who felt all the teenagers' eyes on her. "He has the eyes of a warrior. He reminds me of several soldiers from Atlantis. He's strong, fast, and cunning. He easily neutralized someone attacking him from a distance and defeated Superboy in hand-to-hand combat, all without even breaking a sweat. Why isn't he part of the League?" he finally asked the question that all the teenagers had been wondering.

"It's simple. He's not interested. I tried to convince him to join the League so he could help us, but he refused..." Those words made Mito frown and look down at the floor. Her father refused to do good. He had the power to save and protect many people, but he refused.

"He's a coward." All the teenagers quickly looked at the white-haired girl. She had just insulted her own father.

"Mito!" Putting the ship on autopilot, Diana stood up. She stepped in front of the Uzumaki and gave her a stern look. "Your father only wants peace. He doesn't want to have anything to do with the outside world." Sighing, the Amazon turned her back on her sensei's daughter. Over the past year, Diana had brought Mito into a group called Young Justice. Of course, she hadn't told Naruto, since he refused to let his daughter be part of it. But his student had felt she had to do it. The young Uzumaki had so much potential that keeping her confined to Paradise Island would be a waste.

She knew it was wrong, but it was a risk she had decided to take. However, this had only caused the white-haired teenager to think differently about her father. She argued that her father should be out there helping make the world a better place, fighting villains and defeating them. These thoughts upset Diana. She wanted to tell Mito about the great feats her teacher had accomplished, how he had defeated the gods and saved the world.

But at Naruto's request, she had to remain silent, just like all the Amazons. He only wanted his daughter to see him as her father, not as a killer of gods. There were things the Uzumaki wasn't proud of. Another thing that bothered Diana was how much she had distanced herself from her teacher, all because she felt guilty about bringing his daughter into Young Justice.

"..." Crossing her arms, the white-haired teenager with red streaks frowned. Looking out the ship's window, she watched as they moved farther away from the island. Feeling a heaviness in her heart, she thought about going back. Maybe she was being too dramatic, but when she heard an alarm on the ship, she quickly looked forward.

"An attack in New York! They're asking for backup!" Robin said as he stood up to show an image of a strange snake-like creature attacking several heroes. Forgetting her thoughts, Mito grew excited. It was time to save the day.
