Upon seeing this, Tanjiro was immediately jolted out of his daze.
The large rock he was holding slipped from his hands and fell to the ground.
“They turn to dust as soon as they’re exposed to sunlight?!
No wonder Nezuko resists sunlight!” Tanjiro felt a surge of fear.
In his panic, Tanjiro looked around, searching for his sister and Shin.
“Nezuko!
Senior Shin!” Tanjiro cried out.
Where could they have gone while he hesitated?
Thinking this, Tanjiro ran back to the entrance of the Buddhist hall and peered inside.
Finally, in a dark corner, he saw Nezuko huddled in a bamboo basket, and Shin asleep beside it.
Seeing the two, Tanjiro felt relieved and didn’t wake Shin.
As Tanjiro turned to look at an open space beside the Buddhist hall, he saw Urokodaki Sakonji.
Urokodaki Sakonji was offering prayers to those killed by demons.
The small, raised mounds were places he had dug specifically for burying the dead.
“Um—”
Tanjiro walked over, intending to speak to him.
Before he could finish speaking, Urokodaki Sakonji stood up and said, “I am Urokodaki Sakonji.
The people Tomioka Giyu mentioned are you and that young man, right?”
“Yes, my name is Kamado Tanjiro, that young man is Senior Shin, and my sister is Nezuko!” Knowing that the other person was the one he was looking for, Tanjiro readily introduced himself.
Urokodaki Sakonji didn’t seem to care much about Tanjiro’s introduction.
Instead, he suddenly stood up, looked at Tanjiro, and asked, “Tanjiro, what would you do if your sister ate people?”
Tanjiro was stumped by Urokodaki Sakonji’s question again. New chapters come out on novelping.com first.
He genuinely didn’t know how to answer it.
Seeing Tanjiro’s bewilderment, Urokodaki Sakonji walked over to Tanjiro and slapped him.
“With me here, there’s no possibility of his sister eating people.
If there is, you don’t need to trouble yourself, old man.
I’ll end Nezuko’s life myself!” Just then, Shin suddenly appeared before them, leaning against the wall of the Buddhist hall and looking completely calm.
After speaking, Shin yawned and stretched.
Urokodaki Sakonji turned to look at Shin.
He greatly admired Shin, for Shin was remarkably sensible, calm, and decisive, displaying none of the indecisiveness expected of a strong individual.
“Shin is right!” Urokodaki Sakonji said.
“Tanjiro, your judgment is far too slow!
Even by dawn, you still hadn’t delivered the final blow to the demon.
Why couldn’t you answer the question earlier?
Because your resolve wasn’t strong enough!
When your sister eats people, you only have two things to do.
Kill your sister, and then kill yourself.
Carrying a sister who has become a demon means accepting this consequence!
Therefore, you absolutely cannot let this happen!
Do you understand what I’m saying?” Follow the newest chapters on g.com.
Urokodaki Sakonji instructed Tanjiro with a profound and earnest tone.
“Yes!
I understand!” Tanjiro responded sincerely to Urokodaki Sakonji’s instruction.
“Now, let me test whether you’re suitable to become a Demon Slayer!”
After saying this, Urokodaki Sakonji turned his gaze back to Shin and continued, “Your name is Shin, right?!
You come along too!
Giyu said you’re a special guy.”
