“For ordinary people, that’s certainly quite special,” Shin said calmly.
“Keep up with me, and don’t fall behind!” Urokodaki Sakonji didn’t probe Shin’s situation any further.
As soon as Urokodaki Sakonji finished speaking, he darted out, incredibly fast and without a sound.
Tanjiro didn’t react immediately, so Shin yelled at him to hurry up and catch up.
Tanjiro then followed.
Shin, without lingering, quickly went into the Buddhist hall and carried the bamboo basket containing Nezuko.
In just a few seconds, Urokodaki Sakonji and Tanjiro had disappeared without a trace.
Shin began using Water Breathing to enhance his physical abilities.
Running normally, he clearly couldn’t catch up with them, especially since he was carrying Nezuko.
Running in the lead, Urokodaki Sakonji turned to look behind him and found that only Tanjiro was following about 100 meters behind, while Shin seemed to have fallen behind.
Urokodaki Sakonji was puzzled.
Was Shin even less capable than Tanjiro?
Meanwhile, Tanjiro, worried that Shin would fall behind, used a twig he had picked up to mark a running path on the ground as he ran.
Tanjiro knew that Shin was concerned about Nezuko.
If he had to worry about Nezuko, given his reaction time and speed, he would probably have been left far behind by Urokodaki Sakonji.
After catching up, Shin quickly noticed the marks on the path.
These incredibly fresh marks made Shin realize with a moment’s thought that Tanjiro had left them as a guide.
Having mastered Water Breathing, Shin’s physical abilities were naturally beyond those of ordinary people.
Furthermore, Urokodaki Sakonji had to consider Tanjiro’s physical limitations, so he couldn’t possibly use his full strength.
As time passed, Shin gradually caught up with Tanjiro.
When Shin reached Tanjiro’s side, he saw Urokodaki Sakonji a hundred meters away.
Tanjiro’s ability to maintain a visible distance from Urokodaki Sakonji was truly impressive.
At this moment, Tanjiro’s breathing was incredibly heavy and rapid.
Seeing Shin approaching, he showed a joyful expression and wanted to speak to him.
“Control your breathing.
Now is not the time to speak!” Shin interrupted Tanjiro before he could even open his mouth.
Hearing this, Tanjiro realized that his current state was not suitable for speaking.
He was even having difficulty controlling his breathing, let alone speaking.
However, seeing that Shin showed no signs of fatigue and moved with incredible lightness, Tanjiro couldn’t help but feel a surge of envy and admiration.
“If you want to become stronger, pass Urokodaki Sakonji’s test and learn the methods to become stronger from him,” Shin said to Tanjiro again.
The two followed at a leisurely pace, neither closing the distance to Urokodaki Sakonji nor straying too far from him.
“Has he caught up?” Urokodaki Sakonji sensed Shin catching up and turned to look at him.
“Wait, this guy is using Water Breathing!”
