“His face and body are both pretty good. It’s just that he’s terrible in bed!”
Wen Yusui expressionlessly got dressed, rubbed her groggy head, and couldn’t help complaining.
“What did you say?!”
Jiang Yinian stared at Wen Yusui’s back in disbelief. For a moment, he almost thought he had heard her wrong.
“Bad in bed, and your ears are bad too? How pitiful!”
Wen Yusui calmly and coldly pulled a stack of red banknotes from her wallet and casually tossed them onto the bedside table.
“We’re even!”
Just two short words, crisp and decisive, without the slightest trace of reluctance.
Wen Yusui opened the door and left without sparing Jiang Yinian another glance, turning away with a carefree stride.
Jiang Yinian sat on the bed, the atmosphere around him frighteningly oppressive. His handsome features were now shrouded in gloom.
He angrily clenched his fists, his eyes fixed on the tightly closed door, fury surging in his gaze.
She said he was terrible in bed?
Before last night, he had never touched another woman! If he hadn’t been slightly drunk himself yesterday, and if she hadn’t kept taking the initiative to cling to him…
Last night, she had been wild and seductive in his arms, catching him completely off guard for a moment…
But after sobering up, all that remained in her cool, beautiful eyes was endless indifference. She was like a completely different person from the woman she had been the night before.
This woman had turned cold the moment she woke up. Not only had she despised him, she had even tried to dismiss him with money?
“We’re even?”
Jiang Yinian let out a cold, mocking laugh. His fingertips tightened around his clenched fist, and a layer of icy mist seemed to settle over his obsessive gaze as he stared in the direction Wen Yusui had left.
“Do you really think sleeping with me, Jiang Yinian, is something you can simply call even?”
The moment Wen Yusui stepped out of the hotel and got into her car, a trace of uncontrollable panic still lingered in her heart. Much of what had happened during her drunken indulgence the previous night was blurred in her mind.
But she clearly remembered Gu Huaichuan bringing Qiao Yuyao home openly and without the slightest attempt to hide it. When Qiao Yuyao claimed that she was feeling unwell, Gu Huaichuan stayed in her room all night to take care of her.
What made her even more desperate was the ambiguous, intimate sounds of their moans piercing her ears again and again. Years of grievances, endurance, and disappointment collapsed completely in that moment.
With her heart dead, she had fled the house as though running for her life. On the way, she bought a pile of strong liquor and booked a presidential suite, wanting nothing more than to get completely drunk and forget this miserable mess.
Having stayed out all night, she could already imagine her mother-in-law’s furious, hysterical reaction.
But from this moment onward, everything would change.
Three years of humbling herself and swallowing her grievances had brought her nothing but endless difficulties and coldness—even betrayal thrown right in her face.
From now on, she would no longer compromise or silently back down.
She was going to end this marriage that existed in name only and had become utterly rotten.
Wen Yusui took a deep breath, determination and cold resolve filling her eyes as she once again stepped into the luxurious villa that had trapped her for three years.
Sure enough, the moment the door opened, a shrill and vicious voice reached her ears.
“Wen Yusui, where the hell have you been? How dare you stay out all night! You shameless woman!”
Her mother-in-law, Li Xiqin, stormed up to Wen Yusui with an angry expression, berating her arrogantly.
Wen Yusui had long since grown accustomed to her mother-in-law’s harassment. After all, she had been listening to even worse insults for three years. She was already numb to them.
“I’m shameless? You should say that to the two people in that room!”
Wen Yusui sneered.
“What nonsense are you talking about! Taking care of her is my son’s responsibility! How can you be so petty?”
Li Xiqin didn’t feel that there was anything wrong with the situation at all. Instead, she continued to blame Wen Yusui.
At this point, Wen Yusui simply tore off the last shred of pretense, her face full of mockery.
“Taking care of her all the way into bed? Your son really has no shame! And you’re already this old, yet you’re just as shameless!”
Li Xiqin stared at her in shock.
How had the previously meek and patient Wen Yusui suddenly changed so drastically? Was this really the same woman?
Or had she been driven crazy by what happened?
“What the hell are you going on about?! Tell me what you were really doing last night!”
“None of your damn business!”
With that, Wen Yusui headed toward the room.
She had actually forgotten to take pictures of those two adulterous dogs last night. Those photos would have been the most useful evidence for the divorce and division of their assets.
Seeing Wen Yusui heading toward her son’s room, Li Xiqin grabbed her arm and tried to stop her. She had no idea what Wen Yusui intended to do, but there was absolutely no way she would let her disturb her son’s good time!
“Get out of my way!”
Wen Yusui violently shook off Li Xiqin’s hand and kicked the door open.
Behind her, Li Xiqin shouted loudly,
“Chuanchuan! Get up, quick!!! Wen Yusui has gone crazy!!!”
The instant the door was kicked open, Wen Yusui already had her phone in hand, ready to capture a picture of the adulterous couple lying on the bed.
Who would have thought that Gu Huaichuan, having heard Li Xiqin shouting outside, would be so startled that he immediately rolled off the bed and onto the floor.
Although Wen Yusui had already made up her mind to divorce him, actually seeing Gu Huaichuan’s infidelity with her own eyes still made her heart ache uncontrollably.
Back in college, Gu Huaichuan had truly loved her deeply.
Even his professor had once said it was a miracle that Gu Huaichuan had managed to graduate, because throughout his entire college career, he had devoted all his energy to pursuing Wen Yusui.
Wen Yusui’s parents had divorced when she was young, so she had grown up with her grandparents. Because of that, she had always suffered from an extreme lack of security and had developed a very strong personality.
But Gu Huaichuan had given her enough security during college. He had spoiled her until she had practically become a willful princess. At their graduation ceremony, he had even proposed to her in grand fashion.
That wedding, which had caused a sensation throughout the entire university, was still occasionally brought up by couples at the school even now.
After they married, for Gu Huaichuan’s sake—and also because she wanted a peaceful life—she had always tolerated her mother-in-law, Li Xiqin.
No matter how difficult Li Xiqin made things for her, Wen Yusui had silently endured it. Fortunately, Gu Huaichuan had always stood firmly by her side without asking questions.
From beginning to end, Li Xiqin had never been satisfied with Wen Yusui.
She believed that apart from a face as beautiful as a seductress’s, Wen Yusui had no family background, connections, or money. She was completely unworthy of her outstanding son.
Who knew what kind of spell Wen Yusui had cast on him? Her son had insisted on marrying her and no one else! No matter how much Li Xiqin threatened him, it had never worked.
Fortunately, her son had proved himself. In just three years, he had risen to become the general manager of the Qiao Group.
More importantly, he had finally come to his senses and gotten together with Qiao Yuyao, the daughter of the chairman of the Qiao Group.
Although he and Wen Yusui were not divorced yet, it was merely a matter of time.
Wen Yusui looked at Gu Huaichuan lying naked on the floor, then turned her gaze to Qiao Yuyao on the bed, who was staring at her provocatively.
The last glimmer of light in Wen Yusui’s eyes completely died.
She raised her phone.
“Click, click, click, click…”
She took more than a dozen pictures in rapid succession.
Gu Huaichuan hurriedly put on his clothes and roared furiously without holding back:
“Wen Yusui! What the hell are you doing?! I’m warning you, delete those pictures immediately!”
Wen Yusui looked at the two of them coldly.
Word by word, she said, “Gu Huaichuan, I’m notifying you right now! We’re getting a divorce! Ugh! You disgusting pair of adulterous dogs!”
Hearing her insults, Gu Huaichuan’s expression darkened, while Qiao Yuyao put on an aggrieved expression.
Wen Yusui decisively refused to stay any longer and turned to leave.
She regretted it so much.
She should never have endured all of this in the first place!
Perhaps she had simply been unwilling to believe that someone she had once loved so deeply could stop loving her just like that.
“Wen Yusui! Stop right there!”
Li Xiqin followed behind her, shouting.
Wen Yusui ignored her. She simply gathered her belongings, then threw down the divorce agreement she had prepared long ago and left this loathsome place for good.
Li Xiqin picked up the divorce agreement and chased after her, shouting,
“Fine, you can get divorced, but don’t even think about taking a single cent of the family’s assets! You’re leaving this marriage with nothing!”
Wen Yusui ignored Li Xiqin’s shouting.
Now that she had those photographs in her hands, it was still uncertain who would be the one walking away with nothing!
