Wen Yusui put her luggage into the car. Her most urgent task now was to find somewhere to live.

After Gu Huaichuan graduated from college, he had refused to let her work, claiming that he couldn’t bear to see her suffer any grievances. Yet over the years, she had suffered countless grievances while taking care of Li Xiqin.

Wen Yusui found a real estate agent, only to realize that the money she had on hand was enough to rent a relatively run-down apartment complex. Fortunately, the surroundings and facilities weren’t too bad.Full novel: Don’t Mess with Her! Miss Wen’s Koi Fortune Has Gone Wild — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Previously, all her expenses had been covered by Gu Huaichuan’s supplementary bank card. Now that they were getting divorced, she didn’t want to have any further entanglements with him.

Wen Yusui settled down peacefully. Next, she planned to look for a job.

She couldn’t just wait around for the assets from the divorce. Gu Huaichuan definitely wouldn’t sign the divorce agreement easily. Her priority was to find a job and support herself for the time being.

She discovered that most jobs advertised online required work experience. But for the past three years, she had spent almost all her time revolving around Li Xiqin and Gu Huaichuan.

She tried submitting her résumé to several companies. Fortunately, all of them invited Wen Yusui to come in for interviews.

Delighted, Wen Yusui tidied herself up and even put on the light makeup she hadn’t worn in a long time.

Who would have thought that the moment she stepped outside, she would run into Gu Huaichuan downstairs?

He had been standing there looking around. The moment he saw Wen Yusui, he rushed toward her.

Wen Yusui looked disgusted and dodged Gu Huaichuan’s touch. She couldn’t understand how he had found out about her new address.

“Suisi! I’ve finally found you! Why did you block my number? Listen to me, Qiao Yuyao seduced me that night! I was careless for a moment. You can’t leave me!”

Gu Huaichuan spoke with an earnest expression.

Looking at how serious he was, Wen Yusui couldn’t help wondering how she had ever been so blind back then, failing to see through Gu Huaichuan’s hypocritical nature.

“Gu Huaichuan! Can you stop disgusting me? Do you really think whatever happened between you and Qiao Yuyao only started that night? Do you really think I know nothing?”

Wen Yusui found Gu Huaichuan utterly ridiculous. She had no idea where he got the nerve to come looking for her.

“I was only putting on an act with Qiao Yuyao! You know her family background. Surely you understand how I feel about you?”

With the deeply devoted expression on Gu Huaichuan’s face, Wen Yusui might even have been moved if she hadn’t caught him cheating in bed with her own eyes.

Wen Yusui sneered at him, the disgust on her face practically overflowing. She couldn’t stop recalling the sight of him and Qiao Yuyao lying naked in bed that day.

“Gu Huaichuan, stop pretending to be devoted! Sign the divorce agreement as soon as possible so we can part on good terms.”

“What divorce agreement? Wen Yusui! I don’t agree!”

A trace of confusion flashed through Gu Huaichuan’s eyes.

“Go home and ask your mother.”

Wen Yusui was in a hurry to get to her interview and couldn’t be bothered to deal with Gu Huaichuan anymore. She got into her car and drove away.

What she didn’t expect was for Gu Huaichuan to drive after her the entire way.

The moment she arrived at one of the interview locations, Gu Huaichuan followed her there.

“You’re going to look for a job? Why? I won’t allow you to go to work!”

Gu Huaichuan followed behind her, complaining incessantly.

Wen Yusui didn’t want to make a scene in public and attract attention. She suppressed her anger and calmly said,

“Gu Huaichuan! Stop interfering in my life! I told you, we’re already over! Get lost!”

Yet Gu Huaichuan shamelessly continued following her, exactly like the way he had pursued her back in college.

Wen Yusui stopped paying attention to him and tried to ignore him. But when the interviewer asked who he was, he shamelessly claimed that he was her husband.

Back in college, Wen Yusui had genuinely been touched by behavior like this from Gu Huaichuan.

Now, all she felt was endless irritation.

Unable to tolerate his constant pestering, Wen Yusui decided to go home first. If things continued like this, her other interviews would be ruined as well.

As soon as she returned downstairs, Gu Huaichuan’s phone rang.

He glanced at the screen and immediately answered. His tone was gentle as he comforted the person on the other end.

Wen Yusui didn’t need to think to know who it was.

Her heart had long since died. She didn’t spare him another glance and turned to go home.

Fortunately, Gu Huaichuan didn’t continue pestering her.

Looking down from the window of her apartment, Wen Yusui saw that both the man and his car had already left. She finally breathed a sigh of relief.

But how exactly had he found her address?

Aside from the real estate agent, no one should have known. And she had clearly found the agent at random.

The more Wen Yusui thought about it, the more suspicious it seemed.

Just then, her phone received a text message.

She looked down. It was from her college classmate, Jiang Xue.

“Tomorrow at 6 p.m., our class reunion will be held at Manxin Lou. We sincerely invite all our classmates to attend!”

It looked like a mass message.

Of all times, why were they organizing a class reunion now?

Wen Yusui had no intention of going, nor did she plan to reply.

But as she stared at her phone, an idea suddenly occurred to her.

She immediately went out and found a mobile phone shop. There, she discovered that tracking software had been installed on her phone.

No wonder Gu Huaichuan had been able to find her.

Wen Yusui was even more furious.

Gu Huaichuan was the one behaving improperly, yet he had actually installed tracking software on her phone!

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. She decided to confront him and settle everything once and for all.

She first returned to the villa. Just as she was about to knock on the door, she heard Li Xiqin’s voice from inside.

The door wasn’t completely shut, so every word reached her ears clearly.

“Son, why are you still going after that Wen Yusui? I told you long ago that a vixen like her only knows how to seduce men! Fortunately, you listened to me these past few years and gave her birth-control pills. Otherwise, if she got pregnant, who knows whose child it would have been!”

Wen Yusui froze on the spot.

So that was why she had never gotten pregnant during these three years.

She had always thought there was something wrong with her body and had felt terribly guilty about it.

It turned out she had been schemed against by the two of them all along!

Gu Huaichuan’s voice followed.

“Mom! Suisi isn’t that kind of person! I installed a tracking system on her phone a long time ago. I know exactly where she goes.”

“And you’re still defending her!”

Li Xiqin looked at her son with exasperation.

“When are you going to marry Qiao Yuyao? I’m telling you, you absolutely cannot let this cash cow slip away!”

“Mom! Don’t forget, the photos of Qiao Yuyao and me are still in Suisi’s hands. If she exposes them, my reputation will plummet! Don’t bring this up again for now!”

Gu Huaichuan sounded somewhat impatient.

“And another thing, why didn’t you tell me about the divorce agreement?”

Li Xiqin’s eyes darted around as she stammered,

“I… I just thought the time wasn’t right yet…”

“Enough, enough! Keep it for now. I can use it as an excuse to delay things.”

Li Xiqin knew her son far too well.

He must still be somewhat reluctant to let Wen Yusui go.

No!

She had to kick this vixen Wen out as soon as possible. She couldn’t let her affect her son’s future!

Fortunately, she had already signed the divorce agreement on her son’s behalf in advance.

She had to get their marriage dissolved as soon as possible!

Outside the door, Wen Yusui heard every single word clearly.

She gathered her shattered emotions and ultimately chose not to go inside.

She swore that she would make them pay.
